About: I have been a pet sitter and dog walker for six years. I currently work part-time at a local flower shop that allows for flexibility when I am watching pets. They can come to work with me if they are slower paced and like people. 😊 My husband is deployed with the Army for the next year so I'm hoping to stay busy! Blossom, my 5 year old English Bulldog, loves to make new friends. I have a big fenced in front yard for them to sniff and play. I have gained an extensive pet sitting family. My standards are high and I understand the importance of having a communicative and mindful pet sitter in your home. I have cared for all kinds of animals, in all stages of life and it has been such a fulfilling experience. I love what I do. Every animal is unique and I enjoy learning how to communicate with every one that I meet. I'm a permanent resident here in Apalachicola as of March 2025 and looking to build a new pet family. About: I've owned and cared for animals my entire life — not just dogs and cats, but ferrets, birds, and farm animals like pigs and goats. That range means I'm comfortable reading behavior and body language across species, not just one type of pet, and I can adjust my approach whether it's a nervous cat, a high-energy dog, or livestock that needs a calmer, slower introduction. I'm trained in pet CPR for dogs and cats, so I can respond confidently if something goes wrong during a visit. I'm typically available all day Sunday through Wednesday for visits and walks. On Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays I work a part-time job from 5am to 3pm, so I'm available after 3pm on those days. I try to respond quickly to booking requests and I'm happy to work around your schedule when I can. Since I only do drop-in visits and walks at this time, your pet stays in the comfort of their own home rather than being boarded anywhere else — no unfamiliar animals, no new environment, no added stress for them. When I'm in your home, I treat it with the same respect I'd want for my own: doors and gates stay secured, I follow any feeding, medication, or routine instructions exactly as given, and I make sure everything is locked up and put back the way I found it before I leave. For dogs, I keep walks on-leash and under control at all times unless you've told me otherwise. For cats and smaller animals, I move at their pace, give them space if they're shy, and never force interaction. If anything seems off with your pet's health or behavior during a visit, I'll let you know right away rather than waiting. On the days I work my part-time job, my fiancé Jake, also an animal lover — may occasionally step in for a visit if needed, and he follows the same care standards I do

“Catie was so professional and really nice. She did a great job keeping our kitty company and even sent a text to let me know she was at the house on Saturday. She sent cute pics too which made me feel good that our kitty warmed up to her. Our dog met her when she came by to meet our cat and she liked her too - even though we took the dog with us, but I think it says a lot when both animals like the person right off the bat! We'll definitely use her next time we need someone.”

About: I have two cats of my own, including my 10-year-old, Leo, so I know firsthand what it takes to care for an older cat as well as a younger one. I'm comfortable with a range of personalities — shy, independent, food-motivated, you name it — and I know how to read stress signals and give cats space rather than forcing interaction, which matters a lot for drop-in visits where a stranger is suddenly in their home. I have tons of litter box experience and I'm very comfortable administering medication, oral or topical. I'm equally comfortable with indoor-only and indoor/outdoor cats, and I'm trained in pet CPR for cats in case anything goes wrong during a visit.

About: I have had pets of all kinds my entire life, but kitties are my passion. I have experience with doggie day care, I was a "feline personal trainer" with the Michigan Humane Society, and I have years of freelance foster & rescue work (which is why I currently have the pleasure of sharing my home with a whole bevy of rescued feline friends). I have experience caring for cats of all ages from dropper feeding new born kittens to elderly comfort care, and cats who have special needs including vision impairment, medicine administration (oral as well injection) and specific dietary requirements. I also have experience with kids and have been recently background checked and approved per DCFS requirements for preschool teaching. I am creative, outgoing, friendly, honest, patient, and I would love to pamper your kitty!

George took to her right away. As an Aussie, George is a high energy dog that needs lots of attention, and Katie went out of her way to give him what he needed; taking him to the dog park and arranging for him to play with her dog. She left us detailed notes, and sent pictures. She took excellent care of our home and plants. She left us homemade soup that was delicious!! We are extremely lucky to have found her. We will be using her again in a couple of months when we go on our next trip.”
