About: I have been a full-time pet sitter and dog walker for six years. My husband has been deployed with the Army for the next year so I'm hoping to stay busy! Blossom, my 5 year old English Bulldog, loves to make new friends. I have a big fenced in front yard for them to sniff and play. I have gained an extensive pet sitting family. My standards are high and I understand the importance of having a communicative and mindful pet sitter in your home. I have cared for all kinds of animals, in all stages of life and it has been such a fulfilling experience. I love what I do. Every animal is unique and I enjoy learning how to communicate with every one that I meet. I'm a permanent resident here in Apalachicola as of March 2025 and looking to build a new pet family. About: I have owned cats and dogs my whole life. From raising newborn kittens, to feral cats and shelter dogs, I've made sure that every pet that has come into my life has been well cared for and loved. I will care for your pet in the same manner and help out when life gets hectic and you need to call an extra hand in to help out with animal care! I currently work full-time Monday through Friday. I get off of work around 4:00, and will be available for afternoon walks and care for your pet! I am also available on the weekends as I do not work then. I will respect the home property of my clients and make sure that the place looks as clean, if not cleaner, than it did before they left.

She sent cute pics too which made me feel good that our kitty warmed up to her. Our dog met her when she came by to meet our cat and she liked her too - even though we took the dog with us, but I think it says a lot when both animals like the person right off the bat! We'll definitely use her next time we need someone.”

I’ve cared for pets at every stage of life—from playful puppies to senior dogs needing special attention and medication. I’m also comfortable with all breeds and sizes (including my past 150 lb dog!). Whether your pet needs energetic walks or quiet companionship, I provide loving, reliable care on a short notice. I have stepped away from the vets office due to becoming a teacher, but would love to spend quality time with your best friend! I’m a teacher, meaning I’m available for all of your petcare outside of school hours! Afternoons, weekends, holidays? I’m free! Please reach out for more information. My husband and I have always said that our furbabies are our kids as well, so I understand the importance of keeping your loved one safe! For boarding at my home- I have two dogs and two kids at home, so your fur baby will have endless opportunities for play! I have experience with crate training, so I am able to crate my dogs (or yours!) if needed/preferred.

“I can't recommend Katie highly enough. We left our little buddy George with her, and I never worried for a second. She is dependable, trustworthy, and responsive. She radiates warmth and kindness. George took to her right away. As an Aussie, George is a high energy dog that needs lots of attention, and Katie went out of her way to give him what he needed; taking him to the dog park and arranging for him to play with her dog. She left us detailed notes, and sent pictures. She took excellent care of our home and plants. She left us homemade soup that was delicious!! We are extremely lucky to have found her. We will be using her again in a couple of months when we go on our next trip.”
