We actually had another sitter booked for Woody for 9 nights while we went out of town for Thanksgiving but of course the morning we were supposed to drop him off (and they day before our flights), he woke up sick with some GI issues. A trip to the vet later it was confirmed he had an intestinal parasite and was sent home with 4 different medications. Our original sitter was understandably not comfortable taking him and cancelled the booking leaving us just hours to find an alternative. Between phone calls to boarding facilities and messages to sitters on Rover, my husband and I must have reached out to over a dozen different people before we finally reached Tahrena! The true mark of an animal lover is someone with the compassion to love and care for a sick animal in need. With very few questions asked she accepted the booking - sick puppy, multiple medications and all! I hated leaving him sick but she was so warm and loving from the start. I knew he was in good hands and my family and I were able to enjoy our trip without worry or concern that he wasn't beeing loved on and taken care of while we were away. About: I grew up with dogs and they were my best friends. Now I have a huge house with a screened backyard, dogs can run around and have fun. I don’t use crate. I have small and big dog beds if you can’t provide one with no charge. Dogs are also welcome to sleep with me in my bed too. I am currently a full time student, my class is remote so I have time to cook and walk dogs per client request. For me taking care of dogs is not work but a pleasure. About: I work from home and have a small dog. We are the best company for your pet! I have dealt with dogs since 2018 and the treatment I give to anyone else’s pet is the same that I expect when people watch over mine. We love cuddling, watching tv, going on walks and dog parks. I work from home, so my schedule can be very flexible! I can also work from your home if you prefer keeping your pet where they feel the safest. I live in a townhouse, and have a very nice dog park nearby and lots of places to go on walks. About: I have always had a dog or multiple dogs in my life and in my home. Right now, I have a 1 year old mixed breed (lab/catahoula shepherd) named Roo, and she is the most loving dog I have ever had! I would love to help take care of your best friend when you need some in-town help! I have kids at home, but I always have care arranged for them when I go out to do walks/drop ins so they don’t come with me on visits. I will treat your pets like they are my own, and I will be happy to make any special arrangements that will make you feel comfortable! About: Ive had a pet of my own (of all sorts) since I was 4yrs old. Ive helped all friends and family to care for their furry friends when needed. I primarily work from home Mon-Fri. I am a makeup artist so some Saturdays I leave early morning and return around 2-3pm. However, my husband or father are always available to care for the pets. I have 2 1/2 acres of fenced in land where my own 5 doggies play with my chickens and horses. Whenever im caring for another pet I make sure they are okay with the horses, if not I have a playpen they can potty in or I can walk them around the property on their leash. At night, if potty trained, i allow them to stay out or will keep them crated.

About: I understand the need for in-home care for your fur babies. It’s hard to leave them and to have to worry about them being taken care of. I love to spend time with your dog(s) so they get the love they need when you are gone. I work full time but I am flexible for afternoon (lunch break) visits and evening visits. The complex does have a little fenced in dog area, and there are some dog parks in the area that I would be willing to go to if you have a more active pet. I don’t have anything toxic in the apartment, or in a place they could reach at least (medicines/rubbing alcohol, that sort of stuff). I also like going on longer walks, 20-30 min if the weather is nice.

“Tahrena was such a blessing for us and our puppy Woody on a recent stay. We actually had another sitter booked for Woody for 9 nights while we went out of town for Thanksgiving but of course the morning we were supposed to drop him off (and they day before our flights), he woke up sick with some GI issues. A trip to the vet later it was confirmed he had an intestinal parasite and was sent home with 4 different medications. Our original sitter was understandably not comfortable taking him and cancelled the booking leaving us just hours to find an alternative. Between phone calls to boarding facilities and messages to sitters on Rover, my husband and I must have reached out to over a dozen different people before we finally reached Tahrena! The true mark of an animal lover is someone with the compassion to love and care for a sick animal in need. With very few questions asked she accepted the booking - sick puppy, multiple medications and all! I hated leaving him sick but she was so warm and loving from the start. I knew he was in good hands and my family and I were able to enjoy our trip without worry or concern that he wasn't beeing loved on and taken care of while we were away. We got regular updates throughout his stay and would absolutely book with Tahrena again. Nothing beats having a go-to sitter you know you can depend on! Thank you again Tahrena (and family)!!”
“Abby was amazing!!! Welcomed our Eva so lovingly and sent lots of pictures each day, which really helped us enjoy our trip even though we were away from our doggie for so long. She was so accommodating when our travel plans changed last minute and kept Eva for an extra night with out hesitation! She even made little treats for Eva to enjoy!! We loved Abby and her family watching our Eva and will gladly have a Eva there when needed in the future.”
