“Anas and Tate are so kind and welcomed my pup Lucy into their home for the weekend so graciously! I was given picture/video updates throughout my time away which made the experience even better. I so appreciate them for being flexible with my schedule affecting pick up/drop off times. I know Lucy loved getting to know Anas and Tate and I would love to book with them again in the future! 😊”

“Adam was a fantastic sitter! He sent lots of photos and updates and took great care of Charlie. I felt very comfortable leaving my dog with Adam and will be using him again in the future :)”

“Nina is everything you could ask for to watch your pets. She took care of our older dog and cat for about 3 weeks. This included providing medicine and ensuring our dog didn’t play too hard due to her condition. Also, our cat celebrated 15 years while we were away and Nina made his day special. We received consistent photos, videos, and communication throughout our trip. We even received some great surprise gifts when we came to pick them up! Highly recommend Nina and we would definitely use her again in the future.”

“Laquitta and James were awesome with our Chloe. She's a small dog and can be a little picky about who she hangs with. But she enjoyed her week long stay while we traveled out of state. Will definitely use them again and would recommend to anyone else with a smaller dog.”

“Paola was absolutely amazing! She took such great care of my baby and gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. She kept me updated with photos and messages, and it was clear my pup was happy, comfortable, and well loved the entire time. When I got home, my dog was relaxed and clearly had a wonderful experience. I would 100% trust Paola again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and attentive pet sitter. Thank you so much, Paola!”

“I’m really happy with Alexander’s pet boarding services while I was away. He’s always giving updates, pictures and videos. Very patient and kind with my high energy dog.”

“Vanessa was amazing! She kept me updated throughout the puppy’s stay. I’ve been hesitant in the past to leave my pup with anyone, but would without a doubt rebook with Vanessa in the future.”

“Joseph took great care of our dog, Poppy. His entire family showed Poppy love & kindness the entire time we were away. I would highly recommend this sitter as your next go to!”

About: I have had plenty of dogs since I was a little kid big and small. My passion is to be a vet in a few years. I’m trying to make money to go to veterinarian school. I absolutely love animals. Any kind. I am working part time with my own schedule so I will have time for your pets to play and walk ! Your pets are welcome to stay! I do not have a fenced in yard, but I am an active person and will love to run and walk with them. I have a dog of my own and she is super sweet she just wants to make friends. And if your dog doesn’t like other dogs I can make that work too.
“Felix could not have been cared for any better. From day one I could tell that my pup had found a home away from home. They fussed over him and showered him with love, took him out on multiple walks a day and played with him. I know Felix is going to miss them.”

“Lorraine was amazing! She has a great energy which put my pups at ease when first meeting, and sent videos and photos daily that put my mind at ease about my fur kids. I’ve already recommended her to someone else, and am planning to schedule with her again in the future!”

About: I not only grew up around dogs, but I’ve worked in animal shelters and a pet resort, where I was responsible for the needs of dogs and cats. I earned 44 hours of volunteer work at the Humane Society in St. Thomas, U.S.V.I., where I gave tours to potential dog owners. I worked at Pet Suites and LifeLine, where I ensured all pets received their food and/or medicine in a timely manner. I have fostered dogs for Angels Among Us and found homes for all of them. I also take an interest in dog training. I’m not a licensed trainer, but I enjoy teaching dogs manners and tricks. I have availability on Friday-Sunday. I’m very organized and plan my schedule carefully to ensure every pet receives the time, care, and consistency they deserve. I live in a pet-friendly apartment with other dog neighbors. There’s a lot of grass surrounding the complex. While at work, I prefer letting dogs roam unless they need to be in a crate.
“From the moment I met her, I had full confidence in Brenda because she told me that she wants to be a veterinarian!!! When I reunited with Kaussie, it was evident that Kaussie had already fallen in love with Brenda and her family due to the exceptional care he received. Also, Scooby played so well with Kaussie that I was overjoyed to see Kaussie make a new friend. Most of all, Brenda's backyard is incredibly spacious and securely fenced, so Kaussie might have been reluctant to come back to his home, lol. Choosing Brenda might have been a coincidence, but I truly believe it was the luckiest decision I made!”

“Marie is fantastic!! I was nervous about leaving my dogs in the care of somebody I didn't know but she made this the best experience! All of my animals loved her and it was so nice having peace of mind that they were well cared for while I was gone. 100000% will use Marie again!!”

About: Hi there! My name is Marissa, and I am hoping to become a trusted caretaker for you & your fur family within the Gainesville community. My whole life, my family has always had a house full of animals- from dogs and cats to lizards, birds, rabbits, hamsters, etc. Now, as an adult, I have 2 dogs and 2 cats, all with extremely unique and different personalities. I spent 6 years volunteering at my local humane society and have experience walking, feeding, bathing, and caring for all sizes and breeds of dogs and cats. I am very comfortable with any breed of dog and I am also very respectful of cats, I am keen on pets cues for boundaries. I understand all pets are different and I’d be honored to help you and your fur family in your time of need, while on vacation, etc. I’ve used rover in the past as a customer and have had good experiences with the app. I am new to this area but if you give me a chance I promise to take the best care of your pets while building trust in this community. Thank you for your consideration and I look forward to hearing from you! I have no problem waking up very early or stopping by very late and any time in between. My schedule is flexible at the moment. Every pet is unique and different in their own way. I have had a lot of experience with my own pets and my time volunteering at the humane society - I understand some dogs try to run out every chance they get or some dogs are food aggressive. I typically like to know your routine, with detailed notes/stopping by and introducing myself so you can show me how to properly care for your pet(s) while you are away. Trust is important and I know it can be scary using an app for pet care. Our pets are our family and I hope to start building a reliable reputation within this community.
About: An avid animal lover! I grew up with dogs. They loved me just as much as I loved them. My grandparents always had dogs since the time I was born. Their favorite one: German Rottweiler. They are beautiful dogs and so protective. I always helped my grandparents all the time with the dogs. We would have 6 or more dogs in the household all at once, so I have experience with having multiple dogs at once. Additionally, I can teach them tricks such as giving paw, sitting, laying, etc. I have experience from puppies to senior dogs as I know they required different type of care. I'll treat them like they are my own. I currently work full time during the weekdays, but I'm available after 6pm on the weekdays and all day availability on the weekends. I'll be able to provide the care they require. I don't have any dogs at home. However, I do have kids, so I understand the safety and how important it is to have a safe environment. However, currently not offering services to have dogs at my home at this time.
About: What sets me apart is the love and understanding I bring to every pet. I’ve had dogs my whole life, from energetic puppies to sweet seniors, and I’ve learned how to give each stage of life the care it deserves. I recently lost my dog of 12 years, who was truly my sidekick, and I miss that special bond every day. Being a sitter gives me the chance to share that same love, patience, and companionship with other pets while giving their families peace of mind. I work as a teacher Monday through Friday, so I’m available to care for pets before and after school hours during the week. On weekends, I’m completely free and can give your pets my full attention all day. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priority. In your home, I make sure to follow your routines closely so your pet feels secure and cared for just the way they’re used to. I take extra care with things like feedings, walks, and playtime, and I’m attentive to details you share with me. If I’m caring for pets in my home, they’ll have a safe, loving environment where they get plenty of attention, affection, and supervision. My goal is always to make them feel at home and give you peace of mind while you’re away.

In the past I volunteered as a fur baby foster parent and was fur mommy to a beautiful girl "Chula" 🐶 we adopted in 2000 and sadly after 17 years got her wings. My family and I always include our fur babies in everything, at holidays, sometimes it seemed to be more dogs 🐶 of all sizes then people 😊. I want to help you feel at ease and have piece of mind when you are away by providing the utmost respect, fun and care for an important member of the family☺️ I can provide a loving and warm inviroment with 3 arces fully fenced yard. I have cared for chickens, pot belly pigs, birds am always ready to try more 😁 My schedule allows for plenty of time for cuddles, furbaby love, feeding, walks, outside time, potty time and entertaining, or just lounging hanging out 🙂 I offer the utmost respect to others and fur babies! They will receive love and feel at home and most importantly do everything I can for you and your fur baby to be comfortable. About: Hi Everyone, My name is Penny and thank you for considering me as your Pet Caregiver. I have had pets (mostly dogs) in my life since a very young child. The unconditional love they provide always makes my heart smile and I will always care for your fur babies as if they are my own :) I have spent the last 20 years caring for my own 4 very special dogs and unfortunately it came time for them to cross the rainbow bridge due to age. I miss caring for them and would love to now spend my time assisting you in caring for your Fur Baby. I have had the pleasure of caring for my neighbors animals (including chickens) while they have traveled and can provide references upon request. I look forward to meeting with you and your beloved pets 🐾 I am currently a caretaker for an elderly post surgical neighbor and have a lot of free time most days. I would love the opportunity to care for your dog or cat when you are unable to be at home for them :) I am trustworthy and reliable to take care of your precious fur babies on my down time. I will follow all of your instructions and give them all the love they need while you are away.
About: Calm, attentive care tailored to your pet. ☀️ Summer Safety Advisory ☀️ Due to Florida’s extreme heat and humidity, dogs are at serious risk of heat exhaustion and heatstroke in as little as 10–15 minutes of exertion during peak sun hours. Because of this, all walks during late spring through early fall may be shortened or adjusted for safety and replaced with enrichment-based activities, shaded sniff time, or indoor play when appropriate. Your dog’s health and comfort always come first. 🐾 Pet Care Experience I provide thoughtful, enrichment-focused care that’s tailored to each pet’s individual needs, energy level, and comfort. My goal is not just to “get through” a visit, but to make sure your pet feels safe, understood, and well cared for while you’re away. I have a background in wildlife sanctuary rehabilitation and have served as an adoptions director, which means I’ve worked hands-on with animals of all temperaments, ages, and medical needs. I’m comfortable administering medications ( just not injections), managing multi-pet households, and supporting shy, anxious, senior, or special-needs pets. My approach to pet care is informed by ongoing education in dog behavior, body language, and force-free, reward-based training. I pay close attention to stress signals, pacing, and environment, and I adjust each visit accordingly. Whether your dog needs structured activity, calm companionship, or space to decompress, I aim to meet them where they are. 🦴 Bonus Enrichment Option I also manage one of Gainesville’s top-rated private Sniffspots, The Zoomie Zone, located in Midtown. This fully private, reservation-only yard is ideal for dogs who benefit from off-leash play without the pressure of public dog parks. Many clients choose to incorporate Sniffspot visits into walks or drop-ins as a way to provide safe zoomies, sniff-based enrichment, or low-distraction decompression time. If you’re interested in adding a Sniffspot visit to your booking, feel free to ask. Returning clients can also receive discount codes for independent bookings. Whether we’re heading out for a structured walk, enjoying shaded sniff time, or keeping things low-key indoors, I focus on providing calm, attentive, and reliable care you can trust. 🗓️ Scheduling and booking process To make sure every booking is safe, smooth, and a good fit, I require a complimentary 15-minute meet and greet for all new clients. This takes place at the location where care will be provided and gives us a chance to review your pet’s routine, home setup, safety needs, and comfort level. **Meet and greet exceptions:** * Cats do not require a meet and greet unless there are medications, behavioral concerns, or a complicated home setup * Puppies under five months may be booked without a meet and greet when appropriate * Returning clients may fast-track future bookings Please schedule your meet and greet at least 72 hours before your first requested service so we have enough time to coordinate properly. After the initial meet and greet, you are all set for future bookings. If you move to a new home or apartment, you are welcome to schedule another visit so I can become familiar with the new layout, entry instructions, and pet-care setup. 🚶♀️ Dog walks and drop-ins I organize dog walks and cat drop-ins into efficient daily routes using flexible arrival windows. This helps reduce unnecessary travel time while still allowing me to provide thoughtful, attentive care during every visit. Dog-care windows: * Standard visits generally take place between 11:30 AM and 2:00 PM * Morning visits may begin as early as 8:00 AM * Evening visits may be available for dogs who need additional flexibility **Cat-care windows:** * My preferred cat visit window is between 11:30 AM and 2:00 PM * Visits requiring medication or strict timing will be scheduled around those needs whenever possible Dogs are generally prioritized earlier because of restroom needs, but every pet receives the same level of care, attention, and communication. 🐾 Premium boarding Boarding is a high-touch, in-home service for clients who want a fully hands-off experience while their dog is away. At this time, boarding is available only to dogs who already have an established walking, drop-in, or daycare relationship with me. This helps ensure your dog is already comfortable with me, my home, my routine, and my resident pets before an overnight stay. While boarding with me, your dog will: * Live inside my home as part of the household * Be my only boarding guest and receive individualized attention * Receive daily enrichment, engagement, and structured downtime * Enjoy supervised access to my private Sniffspot for play, sniffing, and decompression * Follow a routine tailored to their age, energy level, temperament, and physical needs Enrichment may include: * Frozen meals or food puzzles using West Paw Toppls * Sniff-based games, treat hunts, and low-pressure training activities * Nature walks or hikes at San Felasco when weather permits * Visits to quiet recreational fields when no other animals are present * Indoor play and low-impact enrichment during extreme heat or storms Most dogs return home happy, fulfilled, and very ready for a nap. 🚨 Boarding behavior and safety expectations The safety and comfort of my resident pets are a top priority. Dogs boarding with me must be safe around cats and respectful toward my personal dog. Dogs showing aggression, predatory behavior, severe resource guarding, or repeated unsafe behavior toward resident animals may not be eligible for boarding. If a boarding stay must be ended for safety reasons, care may be converted to drop-in visits at your home for feeding, potty breaks, and companionship whenever possible. 🚗 Premium pick-up and drop-off For added convenience, I offer pet transportation as an optional add-on. I can personally pick up or return your dog along my existing daily route, allowing you to leave your dog comfortably at home without coordinating an in-person handoff. This service is priced accordingly to reflect the additional time, travel, and personalized care involved. ⛔ Important booking policies * One complimentary meet and greet is included for new clients * Additional meetings should be booked as a walk or drop-in to cover time and travel * Every pet receiving care must be listed on the Rover booking * Bookings should be confirmed within 48 hours of the meet and greet or the requested time may be released * House-sitting and drop-in bookings follow a seven-day cancellation policy * Availability is not guaranteed until a booking has been formally confirmed by you. through Rover. If you have questions, a complicated schedule, or a pet with unusual care needs, I am always happy to talk through the details before booking. Care philosophy and communication: In my home, pets and plants are family, and every animal in my care is treated with the same level of respect, attention, and consideration I give my own. I understand that every pet has an individual personality and different needs. Some thrive on companionship, while others prefer play, structure, quiet encouragement, or simply having a calm person nearby. My goal is to be a steady, reassuring presence your pet can rely on while you’re away. Whether I’m caring for your pet in their own home or taking them on an enrichment field trip to The Zoomie Zone, I focus on creating a safe, engaging, and low-stress experience that supports both their physical and emotional well-being. During each visit, you’ll receive a detailed Rover Card with notes about meals, potty breaks, mood, activities, and anything noteworthy from our time together. If your pet gives me an especially great photo opportunity, I may also send along a favorite edited image. Unless something genuinely requires your attention, I will not interrupt your vacation, work trip, or conference. My goal is to be both your pet’s advocate and your peace of mind while you’re away. 🚨 Safety and stress policy Safety is always my top priority, both for your pet and for me. If a pet displays aggression, extreme fear, severe anxiety, or behavior that makes a visit unsafe, I will still make every reasonable effort to ensure their essential needs are met, including food, water, medication when safely possible, and potty access. However, I may modify or shorten the visit if continuing would increase stress or create a risk of injury. This is never done as punishment. It is a safety decision intended to prevent escalation and protect everyone involved. Any significant concerns will be clearly documented and communicated to you. 🛏️ Crate or confinement requirement for boarding For boarding stays, dogs must be comfortable resting safely in a crate, exercise pen, gated room, or behind another secure household barrier. This is a firm boarding requirement. At night, during meals when separation is needed, and anytime dogs cannot be directly supervised, boarding guests will be safely confined. This gives every animal appropriate space to rest and ensures all pets remain secure while I am sleeping, showering, completing household tasks, or briefly away from home. Crates and gated spaces are always used as calm, neutral resting areas, never as punishment. If your dog normally uses a crate, pen, gated room, or another confinement routine at home, please share the details with me so I can keep their stay as familiar and low-stress as possible. Dogs do not need to love being crated, but they must be able to tolerate safe confinement without panicking, attempting to escape, or injuring themselves. If your dog is not currently comfortable with any form of secure separation, boarding may not be the right fit at this time. In that case, drop-in care in their own home may be a safer and more comfortable alternative. This is non-negotiable.

About: I’ve always loved being around animals and have plenty of hands-on experience from caring for my own dog, who is about 100 pounds! I’ll treat every pet I care for like they’re my own! Pet care fits really well into my daily routine, and I have a pretty flexible schedule that allows me to make plenty of time for walks, feeding, playtime, and lots of attention. I’m also flexible throughout the week and can work with different schedules depending on what you and your pet need! I always make safety and comfort my top priorities when caring for someone’s pet. I’ll follow any instructions and routines the owner provides, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, and any specific rules they have for their pet. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I’ll also be respectful of their space and make sure everything is kept clean and secure. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone, so I’ll always care for them like I would my own!
About: Six foot wood fence, six responsible adults. I work from home full time, and nurture the animals in my care. Emotional attunement is important for a well behaved dog. My dad trained dogs on our property where I learned to behave in a way they understand. During the pandemic, I noticed my mom’s dog eating, drove Jacques ( papillon / chihuahua ) to Pet Smart, and brought home a big bag of the softest, healthiest dog food I could find. I remember the first time tasted it. He looked at his bowl, looked at me, looked back at his bowl... ran from eating, jumped onto my lap, and excitedly licked my whole face! Able finally to chew his food, the 6-lb Jacque became 9-lbs within weeks! Teaching your old dog a new trick. Treating your dog like our own. Caring deeply, Eli Full-time business and pet owner. Because I work from home, I am able to be very attentive. Happy to take photos, and cater to your needs. Our yard has a 6-ft wooden fence and an open indoor concept for them to feel right at home. I treat su casa like it’s mi casa. You deserve to come home to a clean, cozy space.

About: Hello! I've taken care of all kinds of pets since I was 10 and have dealt with plenty of furry (and scaly) friends. I have a 9 year old pup myself and many other reptiles (none in house) so I know exactly how I can make you and your pets have the best vacation away from home:) I'm currently working part-time and taking predominately online classes so I'm free to give your pups my full attention throughout the day. I'll be mostly home studying so I will be home and more than willing to take breaks to play with your pup! I live in an apartment with plenty of space inside to run around and friendly roommates who all love dogs so your pup will be in very loving hands. About: Growing up my family always had cats and dogs, so I’ve been around them my whole life. Pets bring so much love and fun into your life, they are a part of the family and they are so important. I will care for your pet like they are my own. I have a 6 year old poodle named Lola who I love with my whole heart. My qualifications- I’ve taken care of older cats for a neighbor, I’ve housesat for friends and family who have pets, and I volunteered at an animal shelter for over a year, where I would clean kennels, take dogs on walks, play with cats, and organize and paint the shelter. Thank you for considering me as your pet-sitter! ❤️ I have flexible hours, because I work as a door dasher, but pet-sitting/walking is my preferred job, so I can be available whenever I am needed. In my home, my dog Lola has access to food and water 24/7, and I take her outside every 4 hours or so during the day. She lets me know when she needs to go outside. In your home, I can provide any feeding/walking schedule that your pet is used to. I’m very easy-going and adaptable to anything.

About: ◾️ When people ask if I'm a dog or a cat person, I say, "I'm an animal person!" I have a lifelong passion to care for nature and animals, whether cats, dogs, or other critter friends! I grew up with several pets who were part of the family, including a dog and four cats. Currently, I have a crested gecko named Savoovfy 🦎 and a mixed Jack Russell dog named Taro 🐶 , whom I adore. I'm also looking for a cat to adopt to join the crew soon! 🐈 ◾️ For many years now, I have been pet-sitting for family and friends. Last year I started pet-sitting professionally, and I have loved getting to meet so many incredible pets and spending time with them 😄 ◾️ I have had the joy of caring for a variety of pets of all ages, breeds, medication needs, and energy levels ⚡️, ranging from young to old, from chihuahuas to mastiffs to mixed dogs, from domestic shorthair cats to Maine Coons, and also including reptiles, birds, and fish. I truly look forward to every walk or jog, every drop-in, every moment with the pets. ◾️Outside of pet-sitting, I love hiking, photography, and art (often with my pup by my side! 📷🌳). Can't wait to meet your furbaby! 💕 ◾️ I am a full-time pet-sitter with flexible booking times, so I can accommodate a variety of times to best maintain your pet's/pets' routines! 🗓 ◾️ In-home pet care can work best for many pets, since they are in their most comfortable environment. I am experienced in administering a variety of medications as well, and I am certified in delivering pet CPR and first aid. ◾️ Boarding pets in someone else's home can be a great option as well in some cases. I am unable to offer boarding at this time since I live in a small apartment, but my dream is to board all the animals once I have a house with a backyard! 🏡

“When we go out of town, we always worry about the furry family member we leave behind. We have a 9 yo diabetic yellow lab Buddy and because of his special needs, had in the past, spend most of our trip worrying if he was getting the care he needed. Until we found rover and Rhea. She is very caring and compassionate with Buddy, giving him long walks, affection and attention to his special needs. Rheas' daily report cards and photos put our minds at ease that Buddy was well cared for in our absence. Because of Rheas' compassion for animals and dependability, we would highly recommend her to anyone looking for that special caregiver.”

“Paola was absolutely amazing! She took such great care of my baby and gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. “Joseph took great care of our dog, Poppy. His entire family showed Poppy love & kindness the entire time we were away. I would highly recommend this sitter as your next go to!”

We enjoy hanging out in the backyard, going for walks around the neighborhood, and relax watching tv. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being are my top priorities. I provide a clean, calm, and pet-friendly home where dogs can relax, play, and feel at ease. I know every dog has their own personality and routine, so I’ll carefully follow any instructions you provide, including feeding schedules, medications, exercise needs, crate routines, or any other special care. I’ll treat every pet I care for like they’re my own!
