“We have never left our cats alone before to go on a trip, so leaving them was a bit anxiety inducting at first. We found Christy on Rover and she came over to meet us and the cats. Our skiddish cat who is afraid of anyone who isn’t us immediately warmed up to Christy and let her pet him. While we were away, Christy checked in regularly, communicated with us, sent pictures, and spent a good amount of time just playing with them and petting them which really went above and beyond. She is incredibly trustworthy and great to work with (and my cats love her!). I wouldn’t use anyone else but Christy when we go away now. Thank you so much, Christy for all you did for them!!! She responded quickly when I first reached out and generously made time for a meet-and-greet the very next day. This was my first time booking a house sitter and my longest time away from my recently adopted senior kitty, so I was understandably a little nervous. But Daisy immediately greeted Andrea at the door and seemed comfortable with her, which put me at ease. Andrea was attentive to all the little quirks I shared about Daisy, asked thoughtful questions, and was transparent about her daily schedule. She had the flexibility to spend most of the day at my home with Daisy, which was a huge benefit. Throughout my trip, she provided daily photo and video updates and was always quick to respond when we communicated. I also appreciated coming home to a tidy space—Andrea vacuumed, kept the kitchen clean, and took out the trash and recycling. About: We are a dog loving family who belive dogs are truly part of the family. I love dogs of all kinds and will care for them as if they were my own. I have cared for all ages, from puppy to senior. I would love to help provide peace of mind for others so they can relax when away from home. I work from home so pups have someone home all day. I have an 11 year old lab mix, who loves to play with other dogs, and also just loves to snuggle. I have a large fenced yard for dogs to play in while they're here. Dogs are part of the family and get lots of attention.

Neither dog has stayed with anyone outside of my family before, nor had they ever been boarded. Each dog has separate medications that needed to be taken daily which she administered with no problems. They are both each very needy in their own ways, which makes dog sitting them difficult at times I would imagine, but Barbara seemed to have a handle on everything. She even took the time to get to know them (walks and visiting) before I went away out of concern for their comfort. I couldn't have asked for a better experience! I highly highly recommend Barbara!”

About: I have had a pet in my home since I was born. The first dog I remember was Ginger, then PJ, then Sparkie, then Jenna and Millie, Anja and Argus, then Bonnie and Clyde, and now we have our very friendly buddy, Gustav. They ranged from a miniature Schnauzer and Jack Russels to Rottweilers and German Shepherds. My closest friend's dad bred and trained German Shepherds while I was in high school. I was surrounded by a pack most of my life and loved it. I owned a local pup friendly pub for 14 years and made it a point to great every dog that came in. I am hoping for the chance to see some of those dogs again! My current schedule is very flexible, so I can focus on the pet's care when they need it. I understand that different pets require different things at different times and I am able and willing to accommodate with a bit of forewarning. I have a fenced in yard and a very friendly 10 month old puppy who loves new company. He and I go for walks around our neighborhood daily and we do outings to the park a few times a week. I have 2 cats that are indifferent to dogs and they have their own separate space so they can be alone if they want. I deep clean the litter boxes at least twice a week and would be happy to do the same for your kitties at your home. (Access to a hose outside is very helpful for this) I have room for crates and pets are not left outside unattended. I am very vigilant about picking up poop and want to keep a clean yard for the pups to play in.
