“I was a bit nervous about boarding my senior Great Dane again. It had been two years since I had boarded her and recently her boarding companion, another senior Great Dane, had passed away. I shouldn't have stressed about boarding her with Melanie though. Within five minutes during our meet and greet at Melanie's home I felt completely at ease. I felt comfortable, but more importantly, my dog was exploring the house, the yard, getting to know Melanie and her husband. I am currently a stay-at-home mom with extra time on my hands! My day-to-day is typically staying home and playing with my current 2 dogs as well as my 3 year old daughter. I have a fenced in yard and two well-behaved Labrador’s. One of them is 8 and one is 1 so I can accommodate for whatever age your pet is! My youngest is still crate trained so I am also familiar with crate training dogs if that’s needed.
About: I’ve had dogs ever since I was 4 we recently just had to put down our 15 year old pit Bull. I have a 10 year old pit mix that I hold near my heart. I hope as you look at my profile and see me you also believe that I will treat your dog as one of my own and give them the best care while you are away. As of right now I work from home, so that means I am free all day to give your dog the love and care they deserve! I do not have a fenced in yard but i am a couple blocks down from a dog friendly park that we could walk to or even just play in the spacious back yard. I also have a friendly fur baby who would love making a new friend.
About: I've always had pets and I grew up on a dairy farm. I've bottle fed calves and lambs, raised dogs and leash trained them, cared for horses, chickens, almost always had cats, and even kept pet rats! I worked at a dog kennel and groomer at one time briefly, although the environment of a kennel leaves much to be desired as animals kept as pets are best kept in a home environment where possible. My 20 years is just an estimate of collective time with animals really, I am 33 years old. I have commitments to my church every Wednesday and Saturday evening and Sunday mornings. But during the days and even after services I can make time for potty visits or litter care etc. I am courteous of others' belongings and if I am doing a house call I will be diligent to leave things in good order, even in an improved state if possible.
