About: I have provided care to all types of dogs for over 25 years. I also have quite a bit of care to elderly dogs especially those that need medications or assistance. I love walking dogs. I retired 4 yours ago. I am very flexible on scheduling . Generally I am available on holidays and off hours. I will try fit your needs. I have a house on a quiet, safe cul-de-sac street. I do not have a fence around my yard but I do have a nice yard with a large screened lanai and pool. I will always accompany your dogs on leach when they go outside my home. If your dog is comfortable, I will take the dogs to the Hounds of Henry dog park which is within walking distance of my home in Punta Gorda. If you do not have a fenced yard I will always accompany your dogs when they go outside your home. I will care for your dogs as if they are mine.

About: I only take in one pet (and siblings) at a time. I think it's less traumatic for the pets if there are not other animals around when they are separated from their family. I do everything that I can to make the experience fun and loving. I love both cats and dogs for different reasons. I’ve had pets my entire life until recently. Since most of my pets died of old age, I am experienced with geriatric pets and their special needs as well. I follow your instructions on pet-care. I've watched many dogs and cats in different homes with completely different schedules and rules. I am an early bird so if you have dogs, I like to walk early before it gets too hot. But again, if your dog is used to sleeping in, I can work with his schedule. I do this for fun as well as extra income. I only take up to two pets at a time and they must be siblings. I may take in a third depending on circumstances. Just ask! I am mostly home with the pets. I even have my groceries delivered! I go the gym most mornings for about 1.5 hours. I started pet-sitting to fill the void after my last pet died. I’ve been pet and house sitting professionally around the world since 2016. I board dogs or cats in my home in Port Charlotte. I love to travel and am open to pet sitting in your home anywhere in the world, as long as it's somewhere I'm interested in. I am always interested in Eagle Rock/Glassell Park, CA, as that's where my son lives. I am an early riser so I like to walk the dogs as the sun is rising and then again at dusk. I have a large fenced-in yard so the dogs have a lot of freedom, but I don't leave them alone outside. I am working on house projects so I am almost always around. I am accepting up to two sibling dogs/cats for boarding in my home. I prefer crate-trained dogs as they feel more secure in their crates and it's less traumatic for them to be left at a stranger's house. I am flexible on this depending on the age of your dogs. Most of the time, they are free. I am finding that most dogs just follow me around since I am actively working on the house. The house is fairly new to me so there are many projects to be done!

“Dana accepted our request within a week of the stay, so we were so thankful she could fit us in last minute. Our cat is very nervous around new people and hides the first couple days but Dana let us know that she came out to eat and sit near her which doesn’t happen everytime. We felt a good energy the moment we met Dana and felt comfortable leaving our baby there with her. She sent us photos and words each day of the stay, I wouldn’t hesitate to reach out again if needed. “Shawna saved the day for us by being able to take our pup over Thanksgiving week. Great communication and very flexible for drop off/pickup times. Shawna sent lots of photos and videos often and sent updates. Our lab had lots of room to roam and was able to socialize with her dog. We felt our dog was very safe, well loved and taken care of throughout his stay. He was exhausted when we picked him up and super happy! Thanks so much, Shawna + family!!”

She gave her attention, cuddled with her and let her try some of her dogs food toppers, which Verrin LOVED! She even taught her a new trick! You can tell that Adani loves dogs and has a wealth of knowledge to care for them. We will definitely be using Adani again if she is available when we need a sitter for our girl.”

About: Your dog will enjoy every minute of their vacation at our home!!!! We always enjoy meeting new friends and introducing them to our chocolate labs. I am retired and would love to spend my days with your fur babies. I love animals and especially dogs. My heart aches that they live such a short life. I have a fenced in yard with a doggie door going out into our backyard. Our 2 chocolate labs would love to entertain your baby!!! I can also crate your dog if you prefer. We live on a quiet culdesac which is ideal for dog walking.
