About: Hello animal enthusiasts! My name is Katie and I have worked with animals in a multitude of settings. Jane Goodall (Primatologist) was always an idol of mine. As I grew up in a household loving my dogs, cats, and birds I envisioned working in Africa with chimpanzees. While my vision didn't manifest exactly the way I had fathomed, I still ended up working with baboons in Africa (2017). Along the way, I was an outdoor educator for several years working with all sorts of reptiles, amphibians, birds, mammals, and invertebrates. As a science teacher (8 years), I kept corals and saved many animals in the outdoor environment near our school (from squirrels to birds and much more). My husband and I have just moved from Chicago, IL to Florida. We have a love for adventure and curiosity for the great outdoors. We are happily married with our Cockatiel (Sunny) and Umbrella Cockatoo (Jack). I can't wait to meet you and love your pets for eternity! Along with my elementary education degree, I studied zoology. Your pets will never be unsupervised when they are in our pool area. I have a very large screened in lani that the dogs can run and play in. I do have a small fenced area for little dogs. I do not leave the dogs outside unattended due to risk of over heating, escaping, cane toads, poisonous snakes and fire ants. I walk the dogs as many times as they need to, to go potty. I've been told by multiple pet parents that other sitters just put their dogs out in a yard unsupervised and their dogs were attacked by other dogs. I'm always supervising your dogs.
About: I’ve helped with taking care of animals ever since i was little. That along with volunteering at the Humane Society since 2017 has helped instill a strong and deep understanding on how to properly handle and care for them ! It is very therapeutic & fun for me to help take care of such sweet fur babies ! (Disclaimer : I charge cheaper rates if not paid through app!) I have a very flexible schedule due to taking an online course for the time being . My current availability is generally Mondays-Fri for anytime. Possibly Weekends depending on location. About: I will take your dog or dogs on long walks and let them explore their environment. I am available after 3 and depending on where you are, I can do mornings as well. I will not leave any mess behind for your neighbors to see. I will make sure your dog gets good exercise on each and every walk.
