About: I always had cats growing up and have been a dog sitter for friends/family the past eight years. I’ve had a pup of my own for four years now and can’t imagine my life without her. I treat animals like children and understand how important it is to take care of others’ pets to their standard and beyond! I am a full-time teacher leaving my availability more limited during the school year but I am extremely open during the summer (unless I’m already booked). I do need a bit of notice but am willing to work out a plan at the last minute if possible! House sitting/Drop-Ins: I will always treat your home and belongings with the utmost respect. I’m a firm believer in leaving the home as clean or even cleaner than when I entered it. I will ensure your fur baby’s daily routine is met with careful attention to detail and comfort! Boarding: I have a fenced in backyard and a fur baby of my own to help keep yours company (but let’s do a meet and greet to make sure they get along to ensure their safety)! We love going on walks around the neighborhood, playing fetch in the backyard, hanging out inside in the AC during the hotter months, and cuddling on the couch. Sally is my only dog (Beatles is my sister’s and stays with Sally during our joint vacations). Sally is crate trained for anxiety while alone, so as a safety measure, you are required to bring a crate for your dog when boarding. Dogs will only be crated when we aren’t home. My husband will also help out with your fur baby at times, so if you’d like to meet him too, just let me know! :)
“Lindsay did a great job taking care of our two pups! She is very friendly & our dogs warmed right up to her. She was also great at communicating & asking questions to make sure that she was meeting our pups needs.”

About: I’ve been a dog owner for 18+ years, with years of trusted experience from neighbors, friends, and family who rely on me for high-quality care. What sets me apart is my attention to detail and the level of care I provide. I take the time to understand your pet’s routine, personality, and specific needs—whether that’s maintaining structure, supporting anxious pets, or giving extra patience and attention. I’m calm, dependable, and highly attentive, ensuring your pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for at all times. I treat every home and pet with the utmost respect and professionalism. You can expect clear communication, regular updates, and peace of mind knowing your pet is in capable, trustworthy hands. I work from home, which allows me the flexibility to take breaks with my 4-legged companions. I have 2 dogs (Riley and Bingo). They're friendly muts who love company. We have a one acre fenced-in backyard with lots of room to roam and explore. I always supervise the dogs to make sure they take breaks from playing to rest and drink water.
“Kaylee is amazing! Our dog Lilly was well taken cared of. Kaylee followed all of our instructions and we know Lilly had fun! Thank you, Kaylee! We will definitely book with her again and recommend her to family and friends!”

“Deborah has been wonderful. This was her second time coming by my house, my cats love her, and I love the peace of mind in knowing they are cared for. One of my cats needs a pill and she handles that beautifully. She went above and beyond today and even brought in some Amazon packages that were sitting on my porch. She has been a blessing.”

“I have two very skittles orange tabbies that tend to not warm up very easily to sitters. Samantha was very patient with them and let them hide u see the bed when they needed to. She sent me lots of updates throughout the week so I could see that my boys were slowly starting to become more relaxed during the course of the week. By the final day they were not hiding at all and back to their normal selves! I was so pleased and relieved! She even vacuumed around their food bowls when she left which I hadn’t even mentioned which was very nice. I will for sure be booking with her again! Not only did she do a wonderful job but my kitties genuinely like her which is as rare as it is special! 💕😄”

About: Someone in my family always had a cat, and I always wanted to be friends because I could never have one. I learned the hard way very young that cat trust is hard earned. Once I was old enough, cats in need of homes fell into my lap and they have taught me more patience than I ever expected, especially when handling introducing new cats to established homes. From fighting flying fur bunnies, to combating the endless litter boxes, cats after surgeries and on meds, I’ve had a lot of experience helping cats feel their most comfortable.
“Kimberly has been absolutely fabulous taking care of our two cats while we were away. She played with them, took care of their food, water, and litter needs and most importantly, bonded with them. We would highly recommend Kimberly to take care of your pets, and will use her again.”

About: I stay over night for clients if needed I can also take care of other animals not just dogs and cats. I will also stay in contact with client through out the stay with their pet I am a senior at Gainesville high and have a part-time key holder position at palmetto moon I don't work everyday so free after school. I take care of Clint's pets as asked for, following all feeding and waking instructions. As well as calling Clint in the cases of an emergency

About: I moved up to Gainesville with the goal of going to vet school back in 2013. I attended UF and shortly after, started to work for an animal hospital. It was that very first hospital where my cat obsession blossomed. I strayed away from the idea of vet school and instead caught the shelter bug. My passion is to rescue cats and bring awareness to these magical creatures. I have since started my own nonprofit dedicated to that passion. I would love to make sure that while cat parents are away, their loved ones are well cared for. Call me a crazy cat lady but I wear that badge with pride 🐈⬛🐈🐾✨

About: I’ve cared for cats throughout my life and understand how important it is to respect their space and routine. I’m patient, observant, and attentive to each cat’s personality whether they’re playful, shy, or independent. I’m experienced with feeding, litter box care, playtime, and making sure your cat feels comfortable and stress free while you’re away.

“Jonathan was willing to help me out super last minute to give my Gargy a good long walk when I got called into work. He let me know when he was on the way, walking him, and heading out and left a few pictures as well! I will definitely be keeping him in mind in the future :)”

“Emily is the best ever!! I was out of town for a week and she came every day to see my two cats and she did so much for me! She fed them, played with them and helped with the litter and washing their food bowls. I couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter. She texts back right away if you need her and she will give your pets tons of attention. She is awesome!!”

About: I have been caring for the cats in the blood donor ward at the small animal hospital for three years. In fact they are one of my major jobs. Part of the job is being able to understand body language and moods, so when you are away you can be sure that your four legged child is with someone who will strive to make the separation easier.

About: I've grown up around animals my whole life. For most of my life I had a minx cat named Milo that I rescued as a baby from under an abandoned home who was a real life Garfield and just the most chonky loving boy ever. After he left us a stray (Oliver) wandered into our home as I began college and made himself welcome in our home keeping my mom company and knowing we needed the support, he decided to keep going on his journey to explore after a couple years but we have always remembered our two boys. Ive looked after plenty of my family cats from Siamese breeds to ragdolls. Some of my sons and I’s favorite activities is to visit the cats at Petco and show them love. I guess what sets me apart is my respect and fascination at getting to know each cats personality. From chunky, cuddly, food stealing Garfields like Milo to curious, green eyed, alley cats who act as if they understand what you are saying like Oliver, i believe each cat is unique and special.

Perfect for high energy dogs - Arno
“Kimberly is amazing, super sweet easy to talk to! This was my first time using Rover and I’m so thankful to have found Kimberly. My little Rosie stayed with her and loved it! Beautiful yard and home. So grateful to her for taking my girl in last minute! Would 1000% recommend.”

“Dana is a lovely human being who “gets” dogs and has made her home into a place of comfort and flexibility in response to a dog’s needs. We looked a long time for a caretaker and place that our little Velcro pandemic pup responded to positively and are so happy to have found Dana.”

About: I have been a veterinary technician/nurse for the past 13 years. My whole life is dedicated to animals and providing them compassionate care. I have worked in a general practice for the last 13 years working with companion animals (cats and dogs) but I have grown up with birds, ferrets, fish, turtles and hamsters. I also have a degree in agriculture and have cared for livestock. I truly love all animals and will always take care of each individual pet as if they were my own. I have a team of veterinary professionals that I can reach out to if there was every animal emergency or guidance needed. My goal is to make sure that while the pet parent is away, their loved ones are well cared for! Pet care is a daily staple for me: my job is very flexible and I am able to move my job around to tend to the needs of the pets I am caring for. Whether that’s me coming home on a regular basis or stopping by your home to a similar routine of your own. My goal is to achieve the same routine you would have while you’re home to give your loved ones the stable routine they’re used too! In home: I have property where I can take the dogs out on long walks and can play with them with a great deal of space. They will always have access to water and will feed them according to their set schedules. I have space for crates if your pets do better crated while inside and if I’m away. They will be smothered with cuddles and treats if I’m able to. Clients Home: I will make sure to adhere to the routine you have already established at home, whether that’s long walks or playing in the backyard. Stick to the feeding schedule and ensure they are stress free while you’re away.
“Kimberly was amazing! She took great care of my dog and sent lots of photo updates. Bruno (my dog) has a bit of separation anxiety but she was able to redirect it well by taking him on a long walk and outdoor time, his favorite things to do!”

“This is Alexander and Josephine’s second time watching Merlin and I am so appreciative of them. They allowed me to drop him off relatively early in the morning, sent plenty of photos and videos throughout the day, and made sure he was fed before I picked him up. Merlin absolutely loves staying with them, as evident by his whining and excitement when we arrived outside their home. Whenever they’re available, they are my #1 choice for watching Merlin.”

“Brenda and her mom took great care of my little boy for the day while I took care of some appointments. He had their company as well as their dog Scooby's. He came home happy and relaxed, and I'm happy to have found a great fit for daycare for my dog with isolation anxiety.”

“Paola watched my dog for two days while I was at work, and it was a great experience. On the second day I dropped Angel off, she ran to Paola and jumped up with joy, which said everything. Paola was responsive, reliable, and clearly caring. She also sent updates throughout the day, which put my mind at ease and let me know Angel was doing great.”

About: ☀️ Summer Safety Advisory ☀️ Due to Florida’s extreme heat and humidity, dogs are at serious risk of heat exhaustion and heatstroke in as little as 10–15 minutes of exertion during peak sun hours. Because of this, all walks during late spring through early fall may be shortened or adjusted for safety and replaced with enrichment-based activities, shaded sniff time, or indoor play when appropriate. Your dog’s health and comfort always come first. 🐾 Pet Care Experience I provide thoughtful, enrichment-focused care that’s tailored to each pet’s individual needs, energy level, and comfort. My goal is not just to “get through” a visit, but to make sure your pet feels safe, understood, and well cared for while you’re away. I have a background in wildlife sanctuary rehabilitation and have served as an adoptions director, which means I’ve worked hands-on with animals of all temperaments, ages, and medical needs. I’m comfortable administering medications ( just not injections), managing multi-pet households, and supporting shy, anxious, senior, or special-needs pets. My approach to pet care is informed by ongoing education in dog behavior, body language, and force-free, reward-based training. I pay close attention to stress signals, pacing, and environment, and I adjust each visit accordingly. Whether your dog needs structured activity, calm companionship, or space to decompress, I aim to meet them where they are. 🦴 Bonus Enrichment Option I also manage one of Gainesville’s top-rated private Sniffspots, The Zoomie Zone, located in Midtown. This fully private, reservation-only yard is ideal for dogs who benefit from off-leash play without the pressure of public dog parks. Many clients choose to incorporate Sniffspot visits into walks or drop-ins as a way to provide safe zoomies, sniff-based enrichment, or low-distraction decompression time. If you’re interested in adding a Sniffspot visit to your booking, feel free to ask. Returning clients can also receive discount codes for independent bookings. Whether we’re heading out for a structured walk, enjoying shaded sniff time, or keeping things low-key indoors, I focus on providing calm, attentive, and reliable care you can trust. 🗓️ Schedule and Booking Process To make sure every booking is safe, smooth, and a good fit, I require a free 15 minute meet and greet for all new clients. This takes place at the location where care will happen and helps ensure your pet’s comfort, safety, and compatibility with my services. -Exceptions Cats and puppies under 5 months do not require a meet and greet -Returning clients can fast track bookings Please schedule your meet and greet at least 72 hours before your first requested booking so we have time to coordinate properly. After your initial meet and greet, you are all set for future bookings. If you move to a new home or apartment, you are welcome to schedule another meet and greet so I can learn the new setup. 🚶♀️ Dog Walks and Drop Ins I batch dog walks and cat drop in visits into efficient routes using flexible time windows. This allows me to reduce travel time while still providing thoughtful, attentive care. Dog care windows Standard visits typically occur between 11:30 AM and 2:00 PM Morning visits may begin as early as 8:00 AM Evening visits are available for dogs who need extra flexibility Cat care Preferred visit window is 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM If medications or strict timing are required, I adjust visits to meet those needs Dogs are typically prioritized earlier in the day due to restroom needs, but all pets receive the same level of care and attention. 🐾 Premium Boarding Boarding is a high end, in home service designed for clients who want a fully hands off experience. At this time, boarding is available only to dogs who already have an established walk or drop in routine with me. This helps ensure your dog is comfortable with my home, routine, and resident pets. While boarding with me, your dog will -Live in home as part of the household -Be the only boarding guest, receiving one on one attention -Receive daily enrichment and engagement -Enjoy supervised access to my private Sniffspot for play, sniffing, and decompression -Enrichment may include -Food puzzles such as West Paw Toppl meals -Nature walks or hikes in San Felasco, weather permitting -Field trips to quiet recreational fields when no other animals are present -Most dogs return home happy, fulfilled, and ready to nap. 🚨 Behavior Expectations and Safety The safety of my personal pets is a top priority. Dogs boarding with me must be comfortable around cats and respectful toward my personal dog. If a dog shows aggression toward any resident pets, boarding may be ended immediately. In these cases, care will be converted to drop in visits at your home for feeding, potty breaks, and companionship. 🚗 Premium Pick Up and Drop Off For added convenience, I offer a luxury pet transport add on. I can personally pick up and drop off your dog along my daily walking route No handoffs needed, simply leave your dog at home This service is priced to reflect the time, travel, and personalized care involved ⛔ Important Booking Policies -One free meet and greet is included for new clients -Additional meet ups should be booked as a walk or drop in to cover time and travel -All pets must be listed on your Rover profile prior to booking -You have 48 hours after the meet and greet to confirm your booking before the time slot may be released -House Sitting and Drop In services follow a 7 day cancellation policy If you have questions or special circumstances, I’m always happy to talk things through. In my home, pets and plants are family, and every animal in my care is treated with the same level of respect and attention. I understand that each pet has their own personality and needs. Some thrive on companionship, others prefer play, structure, or quiet encouragement. My goal is to be a steady, calm presence your pet can rely on while you’re away. Whether I’m caring for your pet in your home or hosting them for a field trip at The Zoomie Zone, I focus on creating a safe, enriching, and low stress environment that supports both physical and emotional wellbeing. During each visit, you’ll receive a detailed update through the Rover Card, including notes on meals, potty breaks, mood, and anything noteworthy from our time together. Occasionally, if your pet gives me a particularly great moment, I may also send a favorite edited photo directly. Unless something truly needs your attention, I won’t interrupt your vacation, work trip, or conference. I aim to be both your pet’s advocate and your peace of mind while you’re away. Safety is always my top priority for both your pet and myself. If a pet displays aggression, severe anxiety, or behavior that creates an unsafe situation, I will still ensure their basic needs are met, including food, water, and potty breaks. However, I may shorten a visit to avoid escalating stress. This policy is in place out of care and caution for everyone involved. 🛏️ Crate and Confinement Requirement for Boarding For boarding stays, dogs must be comfortable with crate use or confinement behind a baby gate or similar barrier. This is a non-negotiable requirement. At night and during times when dogs are not being actively supervised, boarding dogs are safely confined. This allows my personal pets appropriate rest and space, and ensures all dogs remain safe when I am asleep or briefly out of the house. Crates or gated areas are used as calm, neutral spaces rather than punishment. If your dog typically uses a crate, pen, or gated area at home, please let me know their routine so I can keep things as familiar and low stress as possible. If a dog is not currently comfortable with any form of safe confinement, boarding may not be the right fit at this time. I’m always happy to discuss alternatives or help determine whether a gradual transition would be appropriate.

About: I’ve had family dogs since I was 7 years old, so I understand the daily care, attention, and responsibility that comes with having a furry family member. About: I care very much for the well being of animals and want to make sure that the pets waiting for their owners feel safe with me. After work is usually when I will be able to, my work schedule is pretty random so I would work with the pet owners depending on how long they need me for. My backyard is nice and big enough to run around, but not secure enough for me to leave the pet alone back there. My front yard is nice too but needs the front gate fixed.
“Kathryn was so helpful in dropping in to walk my fur babies on sort of a short notice. Thank you so much for walking them so I could get some important things done on this day. Definitely looking forward to having you stop in again someday!”

About: For as long as I can remember, there has always been animals in my house, but the last 13 years are where my real growth has happened for me as a pet parent and carer. In my own home, there’s always been a variety from dogs to hedgehogs to cats to lizards. I have often found myself as a haven for wayward creatures in need of respite. I have experience caring for, raising, and training puppies as well as caring for senior dogs. I work full time as a teacher but I am often around on the weekends and evenings and am happy and able to make pets a part of my routine! Any space I am in is always treated with the upmost respect— I don’t touch what isn’t mine, I don’t touch what I don’t need to. Integrity and honesty are paramount. If there is an issue with anything, I of course will be upfront about it, as that is what I would expect and want from anyone in my home. Trusting me to come into your home is a big deal, and I would never want to jeopardize your peace of mind.
About: Kim's Sit & Stay Inn No, that's not really the name...but it may as well be! FEES ARE NEGOTIABLE! PLEASE ASK IF YOU NEED!! I am happy to work with you because I would want the same for my dogs. Hey there! I'm a MASSIVE animal lover that graduated from the Zoo program at Santa Fe College, and I am currently working full time on Rover. I'm here for your last minute needs! Big pups, small pups, I love them all. My husband and daughter are very involved as well so your fur baby basically gains an extended family when they stay with us. <3 <3 <3 I have a big back yard, comfy couch, and a 17 year old teen who also loves animals- so your pup will never be lonely. I am available 24/7 via text message, and other apps. (Limited cell service though so calling is limited. ) I have 4 indoor cats as well, but they have their own space (bedroom) and prefer to hide out there if there are any 4 legged visitors. I live on 1 acre in Alachua, Florida and about half of that is fenced, so we have a fully fenced back yard with plenty of room for running and playing. I'm also close to the I-75 interstate. I take my job very seriously and understand how stressful it can be to have to leave your pets with a stranger. I always recommend a meet and greet first before booking with me, but sometimes things are last minute and that's okay too. Hope to hear from you soon, have a nice day! 👍🏻 I am home all day, as this is my primary income. My husband works during the day. I can give your pups the attention they need, or space if necessary. I have a large yard and can take them out as often as needed. I allow pets on my furniture, and all my other doors in the house stay shut at all times. All pets are fed separately from each other so there is no food aggression.

“Amber has been a great help walking and giving our Bearded collie Colin sweet attention. She is dependable, kind and Colin looks forward to her visits! Thanks to Amber I can return to work and know Colin has had high activity/loving attention! Carolyn Ascencios 😊”

About: Hi! My name is Isabel, and I am a second year veterinary student at the University of Florida. Before veterinary school, I worked as a small, equine, and exotic animal veterinary technician. I have years of hands-on experience caring for animals of all ages, sizes, and medical needs. With my veterinary background, I am comfortable caring for senior dogs, puppies, and pets with medical needs. I understand that trusting someone with your dog is a big deal, so I do my best to make you and your pet comfortable from the start. Whether your dog is high-energy or prefers the couch, I am happy to adapt to their needs and routines. I also prioritize clear communication and will keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages. I’d love the opportunity to meet you and your pets! I am currently working part-time in the mornings, so I have plenty of time to check in on your pets in the afternoons and evenings! I care for pets in their home by prioritizing consistency and individualized care. I know pets feel most secure in their familiar environment, so I do my best to maintain their normal routine (feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications, etc). I also take the time to get to know each pet’s personality and needs to make them feel most comfortable. I treat every client’s home with respect by keeping things clean, following all care instructions, and providing regular updates. With my veterinary background, I am also comfortable monitoring for any changes in behavior or wellbeing.
About: I have experience caring for both large and small dogs, including high energy breeds and multi pet households. I’m comfortable with daily walks, feeding routines, basic medication administration, and following detailed care instructions. I’ve also handled drop-in visits that include potty breaks, playtime, and light cleanup. I focus on keeping pets safe, comfortable, and on their normal routine while providing consistent communication and updates to owners. Pet care fits into my weekly routine alongside a full-time job, so I prioritize structured scheduling and reliability. I’m typically available evenings and weekends, and I plan ahead to ensure I can give each pet consistent attention, walks, and care. I also make communication a priority, so owners always feel informed and comfortable while their pets are with me. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their routine as closely as possible to keep pets comfortable and stress free. For drop-ins, I handle feeding, freshwater, potty breaks, playtime, and any needed medications alongside with basic cleanup if needed. For walks, I tailor the pace and length to each dog’s energy level and ensure they get safe, engaging exercise. I also provide updates and photos during every visit so the owners feel confident their pet is well cared for while they’re away.
About: I have 2 cats and a dog of my own, all of which I’ve adopted in the past 2 years. I grew up on a cattle farm in Wisconsin so I enjoy working with all types of animals. Since working in healthcare for the past 5 years, my love for taking care of others (including their pets) has grown immensely. I promise to care for and love your pet as my own. I currently work 2 part-time jobs but the total hours per week can range from 10-30 so I tend to have a good amount of free time. There is only about 3-5 days per month that I am unavailable the entire day. I live in a community with plenty of trails and dog runs. I am within walking distance of several parks including picnic island. I truly enjoy walking animals even in the Florida heat so I always make sure to bring plenty of water, toys, and a towel for resting. I’ve trained my cats to go on walks with me so I have also learned how to sense most pets’ needs.
