About: Hi pet parents! My name is Alexis. My first experience caring for pets was a little unorthodox being that my first pet was a chicken. But since then I've owned and cared for dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens, goats, horses, snakes, and lizards. I am absolutely certain that your pet would feel at home with me. I am comfortable medicating, orally and giving injections. I have spent time in the veterinary field so I am well versed with medications and other basic treatments. I am available when you need me and I would love to be your pet's new best friend! Meet and greets are encouraged but not necessary. I work full-time but am available for drop in visits or walks before 7:30 am or after 5:30 pm Monday through Friday or any time on weekends. For any other times/requests, please feel free to send me a message and I'll do my best to accommodate you and your pet. I meet your pets on the floor, at their level, so they can build trust with me. For safety, I ensure all pets have a collar or harness with an ID tag in the event of an emergency while walking. I am very cautious to make sure all pets are on a leash and keep their distance from other dogs while walking. All pets will be fed and watered and cared for as if they were my own.

I’ve cared for dogs for over 10 years, to include caring for senior dogs through end of life care. During the day I’m a special education tutor, so have tons of patience and empathy! I’m comfortable administering medication, caring for hot spots or other treatments to vet orders, and keeping a watchful eye while you’re away! Part time tutor, part time studying for law school, so your pup will get plenty of belly scratches and one on one attention. I give pet owners updates 2-3 times a day with pictures or videos of your pet so you dont have to worry about them when you’re away. I love taking care of all animals, rowdy or calm! They will get treats as often as you tell me to give them (I know some pups are on a diet so I will wait for you to say if it’s okay to give any treats). About: Howdy! I’m a EMT student trying to incorporate my love for animals in with keeping in shape for my next career. I’ve lived and worked on farmland all my life — I’m not phased by aggressive *livestock*, much less a reactive dog! I spend a lot of my time currently training dogs for people in need, and working with shelters to help their nervous dogs develop some adoptable skills. I’ve also been volunteering with disabled animals (wildlife and domestic alike) since I was in middle school, in rehab facilities and as a home foster, and I’m very accustomed to delivering meds to all the most resistant patients. They’re a part of my daily function — they eat when I eat, I don’t go for runs without them, and if I’m going to any pet-friendly store they can behave in, they’re already in the car. My pets and any others in my care are not only my first priority in terms of safety, but in fun! My career and lifestyle has had me naturally trained in pet aggression and reactivity, including muzzles and muzzle training, crate training, heavy leash pulling etc.

I work full-time but am available for drop in visits or walks before 7:30 am or after 5:30 pm Monday through Friday or any time on weekends. I meet your pets on the floor, at their level, so they can build trust with me. For safety, I ensure all pets have a collar or harness with an ID tag in the event of an emergency while walking.
