This was a last minute booking in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, as we kept having to plan and replan how long we were going to stay away from our home in North Carolina, and with what family member. We had to extend, then shorten, and it all worked out in the end. Shanisa communicated well through the beginning of Casper's stay while they were figuring each other out, and then sent cute photos and updates throughout his stay. She took him to the dog park to run and socialize, which kept him happy. Casper was well-cared-for and relaxed when we finally came to get him and head home. I will definitely contact Shanisa again whenever we are in Wilmington!”

About: I got my first dog when I was 18 years old. She was the sweetest pup I have ever met! Since then dogs have become an irreplaceable part of my life. I have cared for puppies, senior dogs & few dogs with behavioral needs. I have fostered dogs through the years and learnt how meaningful this experience can be. A small heads up is always appreciated. I live in an apartment complex which is 5 mins away from 2 dog parks. I'll take your dog for daily exercise and morning, afternoon and evening. I live in a neighborhood which has lots of space to walk for regular/short walks. I have a 7 year old mild tempered female dog who will provide excellent care and comfort while you are away. I can easily crate your dog if needed, I have a large crate.

About: I’m a devout animal lover with two dogs of my own and one cat. Caring for animals is truly one of my favorite joys in life! My ultimate goal is to give your dog a home away from home when they’re in my care. My senior dog recently passed from a rare lung cancer so I’m experienced in delivering oral medication, round the clock care and attention, and moving at their pace. Your baby will be well taken care of. I work remote so I am able to give your dog lots of love and attention throughout the day. Your dog will be able to take potty breaks every two hours in the fenced-in yard and spend time outside. We typically go for walks in the early morning and late evening. My Rover calendar is updated daily so that I can support any urgent needs, when available. Boarding & Daycare: My ultimate goal is to give your dog a home away from home! I only board one dog at a time so that I can give them adequate, individualized attention all throughout the day. You will not find a sitter in Wilmington that is as attentive as I am. My pets are kept separate during boarding. Your dog will have access to the entire first floor and the fenced in-backyard. I have a dedicated bedroom for boarding where I can sleep with dogs who may have separation anxiety to ensure they are comfortable. Drop-in visits & Walks: I‘ll take my time getting to know your dog and make sure they’re comfortable with me being there. I like to sit with them for a few minutes before and after each walk to feel out their energy levels. On walks, I recognize that this is their social time so I go at their pace and let them get plenty of sniff time. I am very respectful of your home and will follow your instructions closely.

About: I have had my Siberian Husky American Foxhound since 2019! She is my entire world and is like my child. I love getting to take care of her when I am not teaching little ones at school! I love dogs and everyone in my life has dogs. This includes another American Foxhound mix, a Pitbull mix, and a Labordoodle which I spend extended time with each. About: I started dog and cat sitting this summer using TrustedHousesitters and so far have really enjoyed getting to take care of people’s pets! During the school year, I foster cats for a local foster agency (Project Meow). “Shanisa was so good to Casper during a very strange time for our family! This was a last minute booking in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, as we kept having to plan and replan how long we were going to stay away from our home in North Carolina, and with what family member. We had to extend, then shorten, and it all worked out in the end. Shanisa communicated well through the beginning of Casper's stay while they were figuring each other out, and then sent cute photos and updates throughout his stay. She took him to the dog park to run and socialize, which kept him happy. Casper was well-cared-for and relaxed when we finally came to get him and head home. I will definitely contact Shanisa again whenever we are in Wilmington!”

About: I have a house where I can provide individual or group care for dogs. I co-own a dog named French Fry, who has been a significant part of my training experience. I am available for boarding on weekends, starting Saturday morning and continuing until either Monday or Tuesday evening. Additionally, I have availability during certain holiday periods. I have a partially fenced-in yard and a metal crate available for dogs if needed. I follow any instructions that pet owners provide. I have a peace and calm environment for dog care.

“Needed a sitter last minute for my Saint Bernard Charlie for the week. Steffani and Josh were able to watch him with little notice. Within in the first couple minutes of meeting them during the meet and greet , I was very comfortable leaving Charlie with them. You can tell they genuinely care for animals. And Charlie was just as comfortable around them as well. All week they sent me videos and pictures and kept me updated. I was able to enjoy my vacation because I knew he was in good hands. They treated him like he was their own. They will be my go to sitters for any future needs and I would definitely recommend them to anyone.”
