“Sylvia was a perfect fit for our dog. Daisy tends to be a little shy but was best friends with Sylvia within an hour.. if that. Sylvia was great at sending me pictures throughout the day of my furbaby. Daisy looked very comfortable and relaxed. When I went to pick her up, Daisy had already claimed Sylvia as her person and did not recognize me for about 15 seconds..which felt like a lifetime. About: I’ve grown up around pets since I was crawling in diapers! I cannot remember a time when we didn’t have pets. My favorite past time was when my mother and I would visit the animals shelter, which would result in bringing home a fur baby until we could find it a permanent home. My husband and I have been Active duty military for nearly 20 years. My teenagers have grown up traveling and traveling with pets. We currently have 2 medium pups, Milo and Bear, along with 2 newly adopted long hair cats, Phyllis and Everett. Don’t stress about them though. The fur adult cats own my son ;) so they hang with him in his room most of the time. Our other two pups love to play with other pups and are friendly. I am mostly available for dog walks or drop in visits and will be happy to accommodate boarding for families that need a quick trip or emergencies.

Whenever other dogs come over I let them out into the yard so they can run around and play. The yard is about half an acre and the fence is 4 and a half feet tall.

About: I have more experience with dogs, but I still have plenty of cat experience too. I did a lot of rescue work in the past which included tube feeding kittens, administering meds, and caring for very elderly cats. My own cat is a 14 1/2 rescue who was a declawed outdoor cat that no one thought I could convert into an exclusively indoor cat. But now you'd never even know he ever lived outside. I also have 3 grand kitties. Most of the cats I've had have been raised with dogs, so they are a little different. It seems that they are ever so slightly more flexible than cats raised alone or with other cats. So I have to consider my actions based on where the cat is at. If it's just sitting there and ignoring each other, that's what we'll do. If they want to cuddle and head bump, we'll do that too. I completely understand that unlike dogs, cats pretty much control the agenda.

My fiancé and I just recently moved to Delaware from Florida to help out as a caregiver for a family member. He is the primary caregiver, we both are going to school but our availability is based around our work schedules. In which my schedule is wide open! Please let me know if and how I can help you! We unfortunately cannot have any additional pups or cats at our apartment because of the sensitivity of our caregiver ship. We have medical supplies in designated areas of course but sometimes the elderly lady we take care of will drop her pills and we just don’t want to put an animal at risk by boarding them with us at the moment.

About: I have 2 dogs and a cat. My dogs are Angus (an 11 year old Bugg (pug/boston terrier mix) and Archie (a 5 year old Boston Terrier). I also have a 14 1/2 year old cat named George who I rescued about a year and a half ago. He was an outdoor cat for his entire life, but I've turned him into a spoiled indoor cat. No one thought I could do it, but here we are. I've worked with a couple of rescues over the years and have fostered many dogs and cats. In addition to fostering, my rescue work also included coordinating, conducting and meeting rescue transports, administering meds to animals that were transported into the rescue and handling adoptions and home visits, care for kittens and puppies and elderly animals. I have had at least one dog in my life for just about my entire life. Cats came later in life when I had my kids because when I was a child myself, I wasn't allowed to have a cat. Over the years, I've learned about as much about cats as I know about dogs. My animals are well loved and cared for and I am very good at building new relationships with dogs and cats - meeting them where they are and working with them based on their individual cues and needs, not human expectations. Although I have no formal training, I have years of experience that has benefited me with extremely well behaved and happy animals. Before moving to Delaware, I was the unofficial dog/cat sitter for my neighborhood. I decided then that I would like to at least start doing this professionally on a part time basis. Now that I've been here for a little more than a year, the time is right for me to start. First with daily check ins and walks. Perhaps overnights with pets in my home on on a case by case basis since I have my own fur babies here. Your pets would be in great hands with me. I work full time from home and can do occasional walks and check in's during my work day. I have more availability after work and on the weekends. I walk my own dogs in the mornings, but I can check in on yours as needed. Either a visit to feed and play for a bit or for a quick walk. About: I have had dogs since I was a baby. I have cared for dogs of every stage of life, and I’m super passionate about senior dogs and small animals. Both my dogs are friendly with ferrets and other small animals, always supervised of course. I have experience in dogs, cats, ferrets, and all rodents. No experience with reptiles but I have read a lot about the husbandry of geckos and bearded dragons. Always willing to learn to have your pet be most comfortable in our home. I currently am a stay at home mom so I have plenty of extra time for animals. We (my boyfriend and I) already dedicate a huge portion of our time to our dogs so we would love to add more to the mix lol. My daughter (5yo) also loves animals and is learning the ropes of helping take care of them. We have a very big yard, and while it’s not fenced in there is still plenty of space to run on a lead!
