About: It was never quiet growing up with as many as four dogs in the house at a time (plus a cat, bird, hamster, turtles, geckos, and fish - and working at a local horse barn throughout high school and college). It’s not quiet now as my senior rescue dachshund loves to let you know when the mail lady has dared to leave a package on the porch. All that to say, I’m comfortable and have always been around a variety of pets. Since Dec. 2023, I’ve been a volunteer dog walker for Humane Animal Partners (HAP), in Rehoboth. There, I’ve walked countless dogs, ranging from ones who are ready to take on the world to ones who need to know you’ve got their back and need you to go slow. I have experience taking care of older dogs, my first rescue was 9 when I got him and my current rescue is 11 and a slow mover. I work from home during normal business and have some flexibility during the day depending on the day. I can do overnight stays during the work-week, but need to discuss your pet’s daytime needs to make sure it’s a good fit. I’m happy to give your dog the time and attention s/he needs to be as relaxed as possible while you’re away. About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 5 years old, usually 2 at a time, and am now a proud Dog Mom to Lola, who I bring with me when I am caring overnight for dogs. I am very good with training, and will happily follow your methods and keywords to reinforce good behavior with your dogs. I am also open to caring for cats, fish, hamsters, etc., as I have had various animals as pets over the years. For walks and house visits, my service radius is basically Long Neck, Oak Orchard, Harbeson, Angola by the Bay. For housesitting, I will travel up to 10 miles from Long Neck, and housesitting requests if my dog is permitted in your home as well, of course only when I am physically present. (She rides around in the car with me when weather permits, or stays with my roommate or parents in other cases.) I will only accept overnight assignments when I can bring my dog with me, so only work for 1 or 2 dog households. I currently work as a part-time consultant from home, and part-time as a waitress some evenings. I generally can provide potty breaks every 4 hours, as I have flexibility with my hours, but will be out of the house 3-4 times a week for up to 8 hours during the tourist season. I will care for your pets in your home, or on walks, according to your instructions. When caring for pets in your home, I am also willing to provide additional services such a light housekeeping, cooking or laundry, as time allows, sometimes for an addition fee. I was vaccinated against COVID-19, and have taken one booster. I will housesit when I will be staying overnight and can bring my dog with me as well, as she will stay with me on days I am not working.

“We’re new to the area and needed a dog sitter for our pup, Piper—and I’m so glad we found Michelle! She was super friendly right from the first message and offered to do a meet and greet, which immediately put us at ease. Piper took to her right away! During her stay, Piper had an absolute blast. Michelle went above and beyond—she even took Piper on her boat (with my ok, of course!), made her homemade treats (always double-checking ingredients with me first), and ended the stay with a fun little crabbing adventure and a relaxing bath. For a New York dog, this trip was full of firsts! It’s such a relief to find someone I can fully trust with my girl. I’ve already booked Michelle for our next vacation. 5 stars all the way! “Oh my gosh, what a wonderful experience for my dog and myself. This was the first time that my dog, Caera, spent time (3 nights) with a non-family member. From the time I made the booking, we met briefly with Neena, and throughout her booking, Neena kept the lines of communication open, via text and pics! I absolutely would re-book with Neena, as Caera seemed to enjoy her stay; and I love the fact that I have found an outstanding alternate caregiver for Caera.”
“AIKO had a little separation anxiety and was quickly loved and preoccupied and went on with his stay .. there were numerous updates and quick response to any questions that I had concerning AIKO stay !
