My Safe-Graduation Setup: To protect my own small, senior dog and two cats, I utilize a careful, low-stress transition plan for all incoming guests: The Baseline Suite: Initial visits and early boarding periods take place in my secure, comfortable, and fully supervised basement area. I hang out right alongside your dog to bond with them and evaluate their unique personality. On-Leash Graduation: Once your dog is fully relaxed and comfortable with me, we graduate to controlled, on-leash introductions in our secure outdoor space. Secure Play Yard: Your pup will have access to a dedicated, secure potty area (which is currently expanding into a fully enclosed backyard) for safe sniffing and play. Strict Safety Limits for Peace of Mind: Small Intake Limit- I strictly cap my home at a maximum of 3 guest dogs at any one time. Your pup will never be overwhelmed by a large pack. Size Restrictions: I exclusively accept small and medium dogs to ensure a safe, harmonious energy level for everyone. Cat-Friendly Guests Only: For the safety of my household cats, I only accept dogs with a proven history of calm behavior around felines.If you are looking for a true "home away from home" where your dog is treated like family and never left alone, I would love to meet you! I work for myself out of my home so I have flexible availability. Limited availability Saturday mornings. Otherwise, though, I am free to hang out with your pup! I have a fenced potty area and plenty of space in my neighborhood for as many walks as is necessary! “Nacho is a very selective Chihuahua who immediately adored Nicole. He exhibited none of the signs of anxiety he generally does when he meets someone new (or even someone he has met several times). He accepted Nicole as one of his special people and behaved as well (if not better!) for her than he does at home. Nicole sent us photos of Nacho napping, taking walks and looking completely adorable while he was in her care; we could see how content he was and were able to have peace of mind while we were traveling.
