“I was so glad to have found Mary Ann on Rover to watch our dog Piper for 2 weeks while we were on vacation. On our initial visit with Mary Ann, I knew this was a great fit for Piper. She is such a sweet, caring, knowledgeable woman that I knew would take wonderful care of my dog. This was the first time using Rover as I was not comfortable leaving her in a kennel again for this long as my dog gets very anxious and sad when we are away and my usual in house dog sitter was with us on vacation. Mary Ann lives just 10 minutes from my house with a lovely fenced in side yard for her to go to the bathroom outside and just run around not being on a leash, which is just like home. Also being able to jump on the furniture and the beds was a plus too, again just like home. And she did not have any issues getting too anxious which is what I was hoping for. About: I have grown up with pets in my house all my life! Whether it be cats, dogs, chickens, goats, you name it! We rescued all of our fur babies so I have seen and experienced a lot in the animal world. I am currently a full time college student and I work part time. I can drop in before school, before I go to work, and when I am out of work! I can also do other times as long as we stay in communication. As I will be doing drop in and walks I will keep your animals leashed at all times unless specified differently so there are no escapees. About: I enjoy the outdoors and taking a walk. Your dog will have lots of play time, as well as fun, treats, food and water. I just like having a dog around to keep each other company so they are not home alone for long time period, you know getting into mischief we can do that together and have more fun haha. I currently do not have any dogs but will get one when the time is right. I have enjoyed and attended dog shows showing for obedience and agility(Dalmatians). I also attended and passed the canine good citizenship test with my first dog. My second dog was adopted and we did agility and was a lot of fun. A dog is a companion in which you meet other dog friendly people. I'm currently working full time but would have time to care for your fur kid/s before and after work, get mail, water plants, check house. I do not have a fenced yard so would take your fur kids out on a leash at your home or if fenced and you chose for them to be loose at your home.

About: Hi y'all! I am an all around animal lover. My girls and I take any dogs that we are watching on walks with us every night, we have lots of fun. Pets are allowed on the furniture, unless you state explicitly state you don't want them to be. I prefer not to kennel overnight, but there are always exceptions to the rule! I am able to help with puppies and older pups alike; age is not an issue. Please ask any questions you may have for me, thank you so much we can’t wait to meet you! I am currently working part time but I am always available for nightly drop ins or for any early morning stops on my way in. I am always respectful of your safety protocols, gates are always double and triple checked, doors are always checked to be shut correctly. Food and water levels are consistently monitored. This is my passion, and if I could do this for free everyday, I would. I have plenty of time to put towards the care of animals. I have a detailed schedule that I follow, and everything is organized and on track. I understand that while caring for animals, extreme care must be taken. I have been called over-protective when it comes to my own pets. But it is for their own protection. Unfortunately, they lack the legal rights that humans have. I am very careful when other animals are around (especially leash-less wildcards coming in hot towards myself and the dog I'm walking ) therefore, it is my choice to not allow strangers to pet any animal I am caring for. Similar to working dogs. There are too many negative examples of pets becoming unfairly removed from their homes because of some untrue accusation. An example is this: You've definitely seen dogs " smiling" to their owners. Some dogs just learn that behavior, and it is far from aggressive behaviour in their minds. Now say someone asks to pet your dog on a walk. The dog smiles, and it is misinterpreted as aggression, person is scared, maybe they act in a way that is embarrassing once they realize they aren't in danger. Maybe they create a scenario in their minds where they were bitten and then they want the " violent" dog put down. and then that is where the mess begins. Safety first!
