About: I've owned dogs all my life and have dog sat in some capacity for family and friends for the last 10 years. I love dogs and treat each like my own. I'm reliable, flexible, and ready to work on short notice during summer. I'm willing to stay and house sit if my schedule permits. I love going for walks and hikes with pups and am not afraid to roll around on the floor for some playtime. I understand how important your pets are and will treat them as you would! I am willing to administer medicine if necessary and am flexible to other needs of your pet. Look forward to meeting you furry baby(ies)! I am a full time teacher. During the week I can let animals out early mornings and then am usually out of work by 3. My weekends are usually free. I will abide by house rules for your pet at home. If you use gates or electric collars please let me know. Happy to bring them on walks if needed.

However, after having unsuccessful stays at a couple of boarding facilities over the years, I decided to try this route. I couldn't have been more pleased with the care that was afforded to Eli. Mark allowed me to bring Eli to his home prior to my actual booking so that Eli could get acquainted with the family and other pets. Once I saw the positive interaction between all of the pets, and Eli's level of comfort, I was sold. Mark even sent me a message while I was away sharing how well Eli was doing throughout his stay. “This is our second time with Julie caring for our cat Pixie and will not be our last. She is prompt about getting to our house to feed Pixie and does not simply feed her and rush out the door when she is done. Pixie is an extreme affection sponge and we love that Julie sticks around and cuddles with our little one while we are away. I always feel so guilty when we are gone for more than a day, but knowing Julie is going to be sitting with Pixie and giving her the attention she craves really helps me relax. Julie is also so sweet with Pixie. Pix has a habit of getting under foot and can be very chatty. Julie has the patience of a saint navigating the one cat obstacle course to get through our kitchen while prepping her meals. We are thrilled to have come across Julie on Rover and already have discussed with her our next booking, which will be sudden and unpredictable as we go into the hospital to have our first child. She is so open to when we said "yeah, it will be sometime between this date and this date and could be 2-5 days long and will be a very last second booking". Not only did she respond immediately, but she told us no problem, she will be around and to let her know. Shes the best and we so highly recommend her to take care of the fur babies!”

About: I've been taking care of animals, including horses, since elementary school. I’ve had 3 cats, 4 horses, and 2 dogs throughout my life. I recently lost my dog to cancer, and I’m sure my kitty misses having his best friend around. So if your dog is cat-friendly, I would love to watch them! I currently work from home. Watching a dog for a day, multiple days or scheduling a break to come walk your dog would not be a problem. I’m located close to downtown Wallingford and there are great places to walk (especially with a dog!). I know how to care for all ages of dogs, including the elderly and I have experience giving medications. Requested information about your pet Please let me know the schedule of your fur baby - what time they get walked, what time they are fed, etc. I would like to have your fur baby keep to their schedule as much as possible. Also let me know any little tricks or specifics for your dogs, how long they like to walk, if they like to go out immediately after eating, etc. Please let me know the demeanor of your dog as well - are they aggressive? Get a long with other dogs/cats? Anything else! I want to make sure they receive the best care! :) Since I work from home, I am able to schedule breaks to take dogs out and go on longer walks (even hikes!). I can board in my house weekdays and weekends. I have a cat who misses his doggy sister, so he does well with dogs, but he rules the roost! I can crate dogs if needed. I also try to keep my house as non-toxic as possible (chemicals, cleaning supplies, etc) for the health of my pets.

About: I grew up surrounded by many cats. A lot of them were strays that found their way into our backyard, and we ended up caring for them and keeping them. Cats are very special to me because they have always been my favorite animals. If you trust me with your cat, I’ll treat them like they’re my own (even if they spend the entire visit pretending I don’t exist). I’ll make sure they have fresh food and water, keep the litter box clean, and give them all the attention they’re willing to accept—whether that’s chasing toys, getting chin scratches, or simply being their personal butler from a respectful distance. About: I am a veterinary nurse as well as a certified dog trainer. I love animals of all shapes and sizes and will treat your pup as one of my own! I work from home. I do virtual dog training sessions and only work one day out of the house, so very easy for me to take care of your pup in between sessions. About: I rescued my own dog from a shelter, and she required a lot of special training and patience. I worked with her on socialization, leash walking, and reducing pulling and barking around other dogs, and I have successfully helped her improve in all of these areas. Since she was a puppy when I adopted her, I also have experience with the patience, consistency, and care that younger dogs require. In addition, I care for a senior dog, so I am experienced in recognizing when a dog has reached their physical limit during walks and understanding how to adjust care based on their needs. Having experience with both younger and older dogs, as well as both large and small breeds, has taught me how to handle dogs of different sizes, temperaments, and training levels with confidence and care. I am currently in school but there are only three days a week I am completely booked with classes. My Mondays and Fridays and weekends are completely open and would love to spend my free time around more dogs! I provide a safe, clean, and calm environment for pets while they are in my care. Since I live in an apartment, I make sure the space is pet-friendly, secure, and free of anything that could be harmful to animals. I pay close attention to each pet’s routine, including feeding schedules, bathroom breaks, exercise, and any special instructions from the owner. About: I've had pets since a young age from lizards, cats, dogs, hamsters, fish, turtles, guinea pigs and birds. I have a small dog of my own so I know I can give your pets lots the love and attention too whether they have fur, scales, or feathers! I work from home so all pets get get a lot of attention during the day. For dogs staying in my home, they get 3 walks a day in the morning, during my lunch break, and in the evening. So, it's safe to say that your pet will be receiving love and attention from all different angles. We're also homebodies, so there's always someone home to keep your pet company. I also have two daughters (ages 13 and 11) that are extremely helpful and loving with animals. It simply comes natural to them. So, they'll certainly spend all of their time interacting with your pets in a gentle, trusting manner. Long story short, your pet will be the center of attention. I have 3 cats in my home that are indifferent to most dogs, and tend to go about their business. We have a spacious home for your pets to roam around in, including a finished downstairs and an unoccupied bedroom if they need some time to themselves. I also have a fenced in backyard for your dogs to get some fresh air and play fetch. My neighborhood is also very dog-friendly, with so many families walking their dogs on a daily/nightly basis. So, if your dog is social they'll have a friend to walk with. It's a nice little tucked away neighborhood with minimal traffic flow, making for a peaceful atmosphere.

About: I've grown up around animals my whole life, including huskies, and I spent most of my life horseback riding. I currently have a young husky named Mako, so I have daily experience with exercise, training, grooming, and keeping dogs on a consistent routine. Mako and I are home from Berklee College of Music for the summer, so we’ve been spending lots of time outside! We regularly go hiking and swimming, and at home he has access to several acres of land where he can safely explore on a supervised 100-foot lead, well away from the road. I do most of Mako's grooming myself, including bathing and brushing to prevent matting, and I'm happy to do the same for dogs in my care if requested. I have experience with reactive and aggressive dogs and can safely separate dogs if needed without making them feel left out. Mako is very friendly and loves meeting new dogs, but I pay close attention to make sure he’s not overwhelming anyone with his puppy energy. I keep a consistent schedule and will treat your dog like one of my own. There's also a vet right around the corner in case of an emergency, giving you extra peace of mind while your pet is in my care. Im back home from college right now and can give 24/7 care. I am a musician but I don't have the sleep schedule of one! Mako and I wake up at 9am and sleep by 12 at the latest. Feeding times are consistent and we spend more of the day outdoors than in. I love to write and practice outside so I will hangout on the porch or in the yard even if I'm home for the day. Mako lets me know if he needs a AC break, but he also has his favorite shady trees and kitty pool to hangout at. At my mom's farm house we have many acres of yard off of a low traffic street. It is not fenced in so I have a 100ft lead tied in the center that I clip Mako to. My mom left a patch of the yard un-mowed so the wildflowers would grow, and Mako loves to explore in the tall grass. I tick check him regularly but haven't found anything yet. I always keep him in my line of sight when I let him out on the lead. The house has lots of space and it's easy to seperate dogs if needed. I also have a large crate that Mako used to use. I uphold some basic training manners such as no table scraps, calmly walking out the front door next to or behind me, no chewing everything, etc. Im happy to take requests if there's training manners you don't want your dog to get rusty on while away. Im not certified but I know how to perform CPR and first aid on dogs. There is a vet clinic right around the corner and I can get them there within minutes incase of emergency.
About: Hi everyone. I am new to Rover as a sitter but I’ve taken care of different types of dog breeds for 5 years! Dogs are considered to be humans best friends and I treat them like they’re mine! I provide comfort and care and help each dog with anything they may need, ranging from love, to energy and any special need care the owner may have! I alter my care depending on each need to each individual dog! I am comfortable around all dogs. While also having a job as an engineer, I try to make time for my animals even if that means leaving work and coming home to make sure they have everything they need! I also have days off that need to be filled with more joy and more animals! With a lot of free time, I can make sure your fur baby is never alone and bored! I’m also new on rover as a sitter and I’m super excited to start meeting new pets! I have 2 mini golden doodle puppy one named Tobi and one named Rylee. About: I have been owned by cats my entire life and have taken care of dogs of all kinds for family and friends for years. I am comfortable with giving medication to cats, including insulin shots. I've had 2 diabetic cats. I am also a Reiki Level 2 practitioner and can give reiki to pets. I have always been the go to pet sitter for my family and friends when they go on vacation. I'm known as the animal whisperer and can usually win over any animal! Just a quick note that my evening visit window ends at 7pm. If you need a later time for a drop-in visit, please mention it before booking so we can confirm whether it is possible. Thanks! I am a home healthcare worker so I have a flexible schedule. I usually finish for the day between 2:30 and 3:30 and am available after that. I can be available during the work day (9-3) with advanced notice to schedule patients around pets! I can also be available some mornings earlier than 9 with advance notice. I will happily come to your home and play with and feed your cats and dogs. I will also walk your dogs and claen up after them. I am willing to give medication if necessary as well.

About: Hello Rover customers, I have taken care of pets since I was a child and have taken care of my family’s fur babies since my kids were small. I am currently left with my senior cat at home but would love to take great care of your beloved fur babies. I am currently self employed and work part time during the weekdays. I have a very flexible schedule and can accommodate as needed with enough notice! I have a fenced in yard for my animals if needed but I am very careful in customer’s homes and make sure to not leave without checking my surroundings first so no animals gets out the door.

About: I am a huge animal lover and have spent a lot of time rescuing homeless cats in my neighborhood. I have trapped 20 stray cats, vetted them, and found them homes. From this I have 7 of my own cats. I also have rescued two dogs from shelters. One is a Pitbull and the other an English Bull Dog. Growing up I always had pets around. I am a special education teacher working summer school. I have weekday availability from 1:30 PM into the evening and open weekend availability. Starting August 1st I will have daily open availability until August 24th. Beginning August 24th I will have a weeknight availability and open weekend availability. I have no problem with high energy or needy animals. I am comfortable cleaning up pet messes, playing, walking, and providing medicine if needed. I will do anything an animal needs.

However, after having unsuccessful stays at a couple of boarding facilities over the years, I decided to try this route. I couldn't have been more pleased with the care that was afforded to Eli. Mark allowed me to bring Eli to his home prior to my actual booking so that Eli could get acquainted with the family and other pets. Once I saw the positive interaction between all of the pets, and Eli's level of comfort, I was sold. Mark even sent me a message while I was away sharing how well Eli was doing throughout his stay. Needless to say, I will definitely rebook with Mark and his family in the future. They are great!”

“Davon was amazing. I outreached very impromptu and he was available for a meet and greet with Arya. ( which went well. We reviewed the basics of her care and he made sure to get a full understanding of what is needed to make Aryas stay as comfortable as possible) drop off was nice. He has spacious living accommodations. What stood out is his willingness to work with Arya being that she is a Bully. There are a many false conceptions about this breed. With his family background working with bully’s and pitbull, and his love for animals in general, I had no concerns that Arya was in good care. During her overnight visit, he provided checks up and sent pictures for reassurance. He also introduced Arya to family and friends ( which I love ) being that she is not around other dogs or people, helping her socialize. Picking Arya up was easy. All items returned and she was happy ! I previously boarded her , and when picking her up she was distant, had scratches and limped !!! All in all, 5 stars for Devon. I recommend and will use him again. 🐾💕”
