“Davon was amazing. I outreached very impromptu and he was available for a meet and greet with Arya. ( which went well. We reviewed the basics of her care and he made sure to get a full understanding of what is needed to make Aryas stay as comfortable as possible) drop off was nice. He has spacious living accommodations. What stood out is his willingness to work with Arya being that she is a Bully. There are a many false conceptions about this breed. With his family background working with bully’s and pitbull, and his love for animals in general, I had no concerns that Arya was in good care. During her overnight visit, he provided checks up and sent pictures for reassurance. He also introduced Arya to family and friends ( which I love ) being that she is not around other dogs or people, helping her socialize. Picking Arya up was easy. All items returned and she was happy ! I previously boarded her , and when picking her up she was distant, had scratches and limped !!! All in all, 5 stars for Devon. I recommend and will use him again. 🐾💕”

About: I grew up surrounded by many cats. A lot of them were strays that found their way into our backyard, and we ended up caring for them and keeping them. Cats are very special to me because they have always been my favorite animals. If you trust me with your cat, I’ll treat them like they’re my own (even if they spend the entire visit pretending I don’t exist). I’ll make sure they have fresh food and water, keep the litter box clean, and give them all the attention they’re willing to accept—whether that’s chasing toys, getting chin scratches, or simply being their personal butler from a respectful distance. I’ll keep an eye on how they’re doing, make sure they’re happy and healthy, and follow any special instructions you leave. If your cat decides it’s zoomie time, I’ll happily supervise. If they’re more of a professional napper, I’ll respect their busy schedule. You’ll get plenty of updates and cute photos so you can see what your furry little boss has been up to while you’re away. About: I've been taking care of animals, including horses, since elementary school. I’ve had 3 cats, 4 horses, and 2 dogs throughout my life. I recently lost my dog to cancer, and I’m sure my kitty misses having his best friend around. So if your dog is cat-friendly, I would love to watch them! I currently work from home. Watching a dog for a day, multiple days or scheduling a break to come walk your dog would not be a problem. I’m located close to downtown Wallingford and there are great places to walk (especially with a dog!). I know how to care for all ages of dogs, including the elderly and I have experience giving medications. Requested information about your pet Please let me know the schedule of your fur baby - what time they get walked, what time they are fed, etc. I would like to have your fur baby keep to their schedule as much as possible. Also let me know any little tricks or specifics for your dogs, how long they like to walk, if they like to go out immediately after eating, etc. Please let me know the demeanor of your dog as well - are they aggressive? Get a long with other dogs/cats? Anything else! I want to make sure they receive the best care! :) Since I work from home, I am able to schedule breaks to take dogs out and go on longer walks (even hikes!). I can board in my house weekdays and weekends. I have a cat who misses his doggy sister, so he does well with dogs, but he rules the roost! I can crate dogs if needed. I also try to keep my house as non-toxic as possible (chemicals, cleaning supplies, etc) for the health of my pets.

About: I have taken care of many types of dogs along the years, from the chill Sharpay mix to the emotional Frenchie and the chocolate lab. I love them all! I just moved out and miss my fur babies so much and would love to spread some love to the pets of the neighborhood. I also would love to get a pet of my own soon and don’t want to get rusty! I work full time but I am available after 5:30pm most days! I’m also openly available on weekends especially for standing appointments! I’m a big schedule girl so if I have it on the calendar it’s happening! I will meet your pet where they are in the home and not try to force them out of their comfort zone! It’s their house and I’m the visitor! “Kristen was great with our 3 month old puppy. She was flexible, sent us plenty of pictures, and responded quickly. It was a serene getaway for him and he looked very comfortable in her home. She took him on walks and he walked really well with her. On the second day drop off Kameron was wagging his tail as we walked inside and went straight for a prized green toy he loved. About: I am a veterinary nurse as well as a certified dog trainer. I love animals of all shapes and sizes and will treat your pup as one of my own! I work from home. I do virtual dog training sessions and only work one day out of the house, so very easy for me to take care of your pup in between sessions. About: Hi everyone. I am new to Rover as a sitter but I’ve taken care of different types of dog breeds for 5 years! Dogs are considered to be humans best friends and I treat them like they’re mine! I provide comfort and care and help each dog with anything they may need, ranging from love, to energy and any special need care the owner may have! Showing love for all animals is something my wife and I wanted to display to our children, and based on the compassion we see them we must have done something right. So, it's safe to say that your pet will be receiving love and attention from all different angles. And my family and I like to be active with the animals we watch - walks, outside play and quality time will always be provided. My wife and I work from home, so our schedules are very flexible. We're also homebodies, so there's always someone home to keep your pet company. I also have two daughters (ages 13 and 11) that are extremely helpful and loving with animals. It simply comes natural to them. So, they'll certainly spend all of their time interacting with your pets in a gentle, trusting manner. Long story short, your pet will be the center of attention. I have 3 cats in my home that are indifferent to most dogs, and tend to go about their business. We have a spacious home for your pets to roam around in, including a finished downstairs and an unoccupied bedroom if they need some time to themselves. I also have a fenced in backyard for your dogs to get some fresh air and play fetch. My neighborhood is also very dog-friendly, with so many families walking their dogs on a daily/nightly basis. So, if your dog is social they'll have a friend to walk with. It's a nice little tucked away neighborhood with minimal traffic flow, making for a peaceful atmosphere.

About: I rescued my own dog from a shelter, and she required a lot of special training and patience. I worked with her on socialization, leash walking, and reducing pulling and barking around other dogs, and I have successfully helped her improve in all of these areas. Since she was a puppy when I adopted her, I also have experience with the patience, consistency, and care that younger dogs require. In addition, I care for a senior dog, so I am experienced in recognizing when a dog has reached their physical limit during walks and understanding how to adjust care based on their needs. I am currently in school but there are only three days a week I am completely booked with classes. About: With over 18 years of experience caring for dogs, cats, and even guinea pigs, animals have always been the center of my life. I am a certified dog trainer through ABC (Animal Behavior College), where I completed coursework and hands-on mentorship training. My first Jack Russell, full of energy and determination, inspired me to become a trainer and deepened my passion for understanding animal behavior. Today, I share my home with a younger, playful pack, including another Jack Russell, and I’ve learned the importance of balancing order, safety, and discipline with letting dogs simply enjoy being dogs. I believe younger dogs benefit from observation, gentle guidance, and time to grow before intense training, so my focus is always on safe, positive, and enriching experiences. I use equipment designed for safety — such as secure belt leashes — to make sure dogs are comfortable and protected on walks. Whether it’s puppies, seniors, or high-maintenance small breeds, I have the hands-on experience to give each pet the right level of care and attention. My senior dog, who recently passed after nearly 17 years by my side, required 24/7 care during her final year. That experience taught me patience, vigilance, and the deep responsibility of caring for animals at every stage of life. Our home is designed with pets in mind — safe, welcoming, and filled with love. With a friendly resident pack, dogs here need to enjoy the company of other dogs to feel at home. Small dogs are my specialty, but I welcome pups of all kinds and treat every animal as if they were my own. The only challenge you might face? Your dog may not want to go home. My partner and I both work from home, so we’re with our dogs throughout the day. The lower level is the cat zone, and the cats also enjoy access to one of the fenced yards. All pets have free range within their spaces and spend the day with me or my partner, so they are always supervised and cared for. We don’t crate any of our own pets — they are all very friendly and used to being around both cats and dogs. I’m a very hands-on, “helicopter” type fur mom — safety, love, and care are always my top priorities. I make sure pets are mentally stimulated, and I’m always checking for ticks or any health concerns. I shared my life with two beloved dogs for nearly 17 and 15 years, and losing them a few years ago was heartbreaking. They traveled everywhere with me and showed me the depth of the bond we share with animals. Caring for pets is my greatest passion, and I feel honored every day to be in their company. About: I am a veterinary nurse as well as a certified dog trainer. I love animals of all shapes and sizes and will treat your pup as one of my own! I work from home. I do virtual dog training sessions and only work one day out of the house, so very easy for me to take care of your pup in between sessions. We have a fenced in yard with plenty of toys as well as going for daily walks in our very safe neighborhood. I also have two very friendly medium size pups who love to play.

About: I am a huge animal lover and have spent a lot of time rescuing homeless cats in my neighborhood. I have trapped 20 stray cats, vetted them, and found them homes. From this I have 7 of my own cats. I also have rescued two dogs from shelters. One is a Pitbull and the other an English Bull Dog. Growing up I always had pets around. As a Special Education Teacher I am available all weekdays after 5pm and I have complete open availability on weekends and school vacations (December, April). I have no problem with high energy or needy animals. I am comfortable cleaning up pet messes, playing, walking, and providing medicine if needed. I will do anything an animal needs.

“Davon was amazing. I outreached very impromptu and he was available for a meet and greet with Arya. ( which went well. We reviewed the basics of her care and he made sure to get a full understanding of what is needed to make Aryas stay as comfortable as possible) drop off was nice. He has spacious living accommodations. What stood out is his willingness to work with Arya being that she is a Bully. There are a many false conceptions about this breed. With his family background working with bully’s and pitbull, and his love for animals in general, I had no concerns that Arya was in good care. During her overnight visit, he provided checks up and sent pictures for reassurance. He also introduced Arya to family and friends ( which I love ) being that she is not around other dogs or people, helping her socialize. Picking Arya up was easy. All items returned and she was happy ! I previously boarded her , and when picking her up she was distant, had scratches and limped !!! All in all, 5 stars for Devon. I recommend and will use him again. 🐾💕”

“This was my first time leaving Liam anywhere overnight. I was sad and hoping for the best out of this new experience for Liam. Bruce came out and was Super friendly with him and I could automatically tell he has a special relationship with pups. From booking Bruce was very thorough, making sure I packed everything needed. He also made sure I gave him instructions on Liam’s food. During the stay I received pictures and messages of Liam. It put me at ease seeing him and how much fun he was having on his walks. I picked up Liam and he Wouldn’t stop jumping on Bruce and wanting pets, that was a sure sign I made the right choice with Bruce. I couldn’t recommend him more.”

About: Hi everyone. I am new to Rover as a sitter but I’ve taken care of different types of dog breeds for 5 years! Dogs are considered to be humans best friends and I treat them like they’re mine! I provide comfort and care and help each dog with anything they may need, ranging from love, to energy and any special need care the owner may have! I alter my care depending on each need to each individual dog! I am comfortable around all dogs. While also having a job as an engineer, I try to make time for my animals even if that means leaving work and coming home to make sure they have everything they need! I also have days off that need to be filled with more joy and more animals! With a lot of free time, I can make sure your fur baby is never alone and bored! I’m also new on rover as a sitter and I’m super excited to start meeting new pets! I have 2 mini golden doodle puppy one named Tobi and one named Rylee. They are as playful and energetic as they can be. I provide them with attention and energy anytime they need/ want and they control my whole world! This would be no different than taking care of your pets too! Every pet deserves love so I will provide that level of comfortability! I adapt to your pets as if they are my own.
