“This was our first time using Rover & our puppy’s first boarding experience. Mark was fantastic. Our puppy came home very happy and I think he made a new best friend “Reggie.” We will definitely use Mark again in the future.”

“Cassandra did an amazing job caring for our 4 year old English bulldog for 8 days. Our bulldog is quite stubborn with several medical conditions and she administered all medications and went above and beyond so we can travel without him for the first time in 4 years. Cassandra sent us daily updates and was very quick to respond to us and helped put our minds at ease while away.”

“Wonderful experience boarding our dog! Kristen allowed us to do a meet and greet with her cat before booking, to ensure that her home was a good fit. Despite being Christmas week, Kristen was super accommodating and made us feel comfortable leaving our dog with her. She was great at communicating and took amazing care of Raya! ❤️”

“Danielle and her husband were absolutely amazing while watching our little guy (Jaxson) for a quick getaway this week. We were given constant updates/pictures, and he clearly made himself right at home and was as comfortable as can be. Jax became quick friends with their pets, and was moping around when we got home because he clearly misses them! Could not recommend enough!”

About: I've been taking care of animals, including horses, since elementary school. I’ve had 3 cats, 4 horses, and 2 dogs throughout my life. I recently lost my dog to cancer, and I’m sure my kitty misses having his best friend around. So if your dog is cat-friendly, I would love to watch them! I currently work from home. Watching a dog for a day, multiple days or scheduling a break to come walk your dog would not be a problem. I’m located close to downtown Wallingford and there are great places to walk (especially with a dog!). I know how to care for all ages of dogs, including the elderly and I have experience giving medications. Requested information about your pet Please let me know the schedule of your fur baby - what time they get walked, what time they are fed, etc. I would like to have your fur baby keep to their schedule as much as possible. Also let me know any little tricks or specifics for your dogs, how long they like to walk, if they like to go out immediately after eating, etc. Please let me know the demeanor of your dog as well - are they aggressive? Get a long with other dogs/cats? Anything else! I want to make sure they receive the best care! :) Since I work from home, I am able to schedule breaks to take dogs out and go on longer walks (even hikes!). I can board in my house weekdays and weekends. I have a cat who misses his doggy sister, so he does well with dogs, but he rules the roost! I can crate dogs if needed. I also try to keep my house as non-toxic as possible (chemicals, cleaning supplies, etc) for the health of my pets.
About: Hello Rover customers, I have taken care of pets since I was a child and have taken care of my family’s fur babies since my kids were small. I am currently left with my senior cat at home but would love to take great care of your beloved fur babies. I am currently self employed and work part time during the weekdays. I have a very flexible schedule and can accommodate as needed with enough notice! I have a fenced in yard for my animals if needed but I am very careful in customer’s homes and make sure to not leave without checking my surroundings first so no animals gets out the door.
About: I worked for The FurKid company in New York City. There, I walked dogs, as well as provided overnight care for dogs and cats, which includes administering medication to the animals. I'm a teacher, so I am mostly available outside of the 7:30PM to 3:30PM window. I pour a lot of love into the animals I care for, no matter how much time I have with them! I have no pets of my own, so will be able to put all of my energy into yours! I unfortunately don't have a yard, but there is plenty of green space and a dog park in my apartment complex.

“Tarah was sooo amazing with my cat, Mao Mao! My husband and I went away for 2 weeks on our honeymoon, which is the longest we've been away before so I was worried leaving her that long. But Tarah eased every single worry I had! She gave amazing updates and pictures of Mao Mao while we were gone, made sure her litter boxes were clean, her food bowl was filled, and that she got lots of love and pets while we were away! She was so responsive and easy to get ahold of and really went above and beyond for us! I would 100% book with Tarah again for any trip we take in the future!”

“Kate is an outstanding pet sitter. She did such an excellent job looking after our cats, When we returned the cats were calm and relaxed. I know they had been well looked after. Kate communicated with us every day sending photos of our cats. We will definitely use her again!”

“Katie checked in on both our cats for a week. She did a wonderful job with them. She was very responsive and took great care of our boys. We really appreciated having that peace of mind.”

“Julie took excellent care of our cat while we were away. She was very communicative, sent pictures at each check-in, and spent real time playing with him during her visits. We will absolutely be hiring her again in the future!”

“Hailey was perfect with our two shy cats. She had them wrapped around her fingers after the first visit. We were shocked to receive photos of them being chatty with her and wanting all the pets. She went above and beyond what we requested. She will take care of your pets and treat your home as if her own. We will absolutely be rebooking with Hailey.”

“Christine was from the start very thorough, detail oriented and very caring. This was our first experience with her and she did not disappoint. Christine is a very kind and thoughtful person and it showed in her daily reports and photos she sent. She cared for our kitties for 10 days and they are not used to being alone for that long. Christine took extra care to be sure they knew she was there to help them without overwhelming them. We felt very comfortable that they were going to be in good hands and we know they were. Thank you Christine! Will definitely be booking with you again.”

About: Hi there! I am a current post-grad student, who studied Neuroscience and Pre-Med at Boston College. I have a great love for animals and have had both dogs and cats since I was born. I currently have 1 dog and 2 cats of which I am a part-time caretaker (when I’m home in NY)! I would love to help walk your furry friends! I will be home from graduate school from 5/8-5/20 and am open to whatever you need. Please reach out if I can be of assistance! I know how important pets are to their owners and ensure you can trust me. I have two cats of my own at home and unfortunately will not be able to bring other animals into my home at this time.
About: Hi there! I’m Emily, and I’ve been caring for pets for over 10 years. What started as helping friends and neighbors has grown almost entirely through word of mouth, and I’m incredibly grateful for the trust my clients continue to place in me. Many of the families I work with have been with me for years and regularly recommend me to others. I currently split my time betweenpet sitting and working as a Client Service Coordinator at a veterinary hospital, where I spend my day supporting pets and the people who love them. That experience has made me comfortable caring for pets of different ages, personalities, and routines while reinforcing the importance of clear communication and dependable care. I’ve cared for dogs, cats, rabbits, and other small pets. I know every animal is different. Whether your pet is full of energy, a little shy, or happiest sticking to a familiar routine, I take the time to get to know what makes them feel safe and comfortable. Before every new booking, I like to schedule a meet and greet so we can go over your pet’s routine, answer any questions, and make sure everyone feels comfortable. While you’re away, you can expect regular updates, photos, and the peace of mind that your pet is being cared for as if they were my own. Pet care is something I intentionally build into my weekly schedule. I currently work part-time at a veterinary hospital, and with advance notice I’m able to arrange my schedule around bookings to give your pets the time and attention they deserve, making it a priority to keep their routine as consistent as possible. My goal is for your pets to feel comfortable, cared for, and stress-free while you’re away. I believe the best care starts with keeping your pet’s routine as consistent as possible. Before every new booking, I like to schedule a meet and greet so we can go over feeding schedules, walks, medications, favorite activities, and anything else that helps your pet feel comfortable. While you’re away, I’ll make sure your pet gets plenty of attention, exercise, enrichment, and affection based on their individual needs. I’ll also treat your home with the same respect I would my own; keeping things clean, secure, and following any instructions you’ve provided. You’ll receive regular updates and photos, so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and well cared for.

“Adele was an absolute pleasure to work with! She was punctual, dependable, communicative & provides great updates and pictures during the visit! Would definitely recommend if you are searching for a great petsitter!!!”

About: Hi, I’m Luz 🤍 I’m a proud dog mom to two fur babies: my sweet 4-year-old Cavapoo and my playful 1-year-old Toy Poodle. They are my world, and that love naturally extends to every dog I welcome into my home. I do things a little differently here. I keep my clientele small and intentional. I believe every dog deserves focused, genuine care, not just a place to sleep. The families I work with aren’t just clients, they become part of my family. That’s the kind of relationship I’m here to build. What your pup can look forward to 🐾 From the moment they arrive, they’re surrounded by love. My two boys are friendly, social companions who make every stay feel comfortable and fun. We have a private fenced dog park right at our building, so there’s plenty of space to run, play, and be a dog, every single day. I’m also an active walker, averaging 50+ miles a month, so your pup will always be well exercised and happy. When it’s time for a little pampering, I offer a full dog wash including shampoo/ whitening shampoo, CHI detangling spray, brushing, blow dry, and a finishing perfume so they go home looking and smelling their best. 🛁✨ (Dog wash is available as an add-on for an additional fee.) Pet laundry is included by request. Their blankets, beds, and favorite things go home as fresh as they do. Throughout every stay, you’ll receive real-time photos and updates! Peace of mind matters just as much as the care itself. Services offered: 🐶 Dog Boarding 🐶 Dog Walking 🛁 Dog Wash (add-on) 🧺 Pet Laundry (included by request) 📍 Meriden, CT | Meet & greets are available by request for shorter stays. M&G’s are required before booking for longer stays to ensure a healthy and playful environment. ⚠️ NO CATS — no exceptions. My eldest is not cat-friendly and the safety of every animal in my home always comes first. I’d love to meet your pup and earn your trust. Feel free to message me anytime. 💌 I’m home full-time with a completely flexible schedule, which means your dog is never left alone or waiting on attention. Whether it’s a long afternoon walk, an evening stroll, or a cozy night in, I’m always present and available. I genuinely love being home with my babies, so boarding fits perfectly into my lifestyle. Your pup isn’t coming to a business, they’re coming to a home where someone is there, all day, every day. 🤍 The safety of every dog in my care is something I take seriously and never compromise on. “We took Frances to daycare as a first step before considering boarding. From the very beginning, Raeven was very kind and welcoming. It was our first time using this service, and it couldn’t have gone better. Now we feel at ease knowing that our pup will stay in a place we trust.”

About: I have over 20 years of professional experience in animal care, including work in shelters, veterinary settings, daycare, grooming, and private pet sitting. I’ve cared for dogs, cats, and small animals in a variety of environments and understand how to keep pets safe, calm, and comfortable. My background includes administering medications, monitoring for signs of illness, conducting behavior assessments, supporting adoptions, and working closely with veterinarians and animal welfare teams. I’ve also provided private dog walking and in-home pet sitting since 2015. In my home, dogs receive attentive, calm care in a safe environment. I’m especially experienced with small, senior, and sensitive dogs, and I’m comfortable administering medications and helping nervous or shy pets feel secure. For dogs who enjoy it, I love taking them on long walks and nature hikes to provide both physical exercise and mental enrichment. As a long-time dog owner myself, I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet. I provide thoughtful, individualized care, clear communication, and regular updates so you can feel confident while you’re away. I currently have a flexible schedule and am available for drop-in visits, dog walking, and boarding. I’m able to provide morning, midday, and evening care, including weekends. Because I spend most of my time at home caring for my own small dogs, I’m able to give visiting pets consistent attention, regular walks, and a calm, predictable routine. My home is calm, clean, and set up with pets’ safety and comfort in mind. I have extensive experience safely managing multiple animals and carefully supervising introductions when needed. Dogs can be separated into different areas of the home if necessary, and I am able to crate dogs safely if that is part of their normal routine. I follow each owner’s instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medications, and exercise needs. My goal is to provide a secure, low-stress environment where pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for.
About: I rescued my own dog from a shelter, and she required a lot of special training and patience. I worked with her on socialization, leash walking, and reducing pulling and barking around other dogs, and I have successfully helped her improve in all of these areas. Since she was a puppy when I adopted her, I also have experience with the patience, consistency, and care that younger dogs require. In addition, I care for a senior dog, so I am experienced in recognizing when a dog has reached their physical limit during walks and understanding how to adjust care based on their needs. Having experience with both younger and older dogs, as well as both large and small breeds, has taught me how to handle dogs of different sizes, temperaments, and training levels with confidence and care. I am currently in school but there are only three days a week I am completely booked with classes. My Mondays and Fridays and weekends are completely open and would love to spend my free time around more dogs! I provide a safe, clean, and calm environment for pets while they are in my care. Since I live in an apartment, I make sure the space is pet-friendly, secure, and free of anything that could be harmful to animals. I pay close attention to each pet’s routine, including feeding schedules, bathroom breaks, exercise, and any special instructions from the owner. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their space and follow all care instructions closely to help pets feel comfortable in their familiar environment. I prioritize safety during walks, monitor pets closely around other animals, and make sure they receive plenty of attention, patience, and affection. I also provide updates and communication so owners feel reassured while their pets are in my care.

My goal is to make sure both you and your pet feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. I am open to working with you to make a schedule that works for both your dog's needs and my work schedule. I work Monday-Friday, with a flexible hour break for going to check on your pet midday if needed. My weekends would be planned to meet the needs of your pet, so you could enjoy your time away with our worry! I’m currently open to caring for pets in both my home and your home. My house is dog-friendly, with an unfenced backyard, and I always prioritize safety and supervision when outside. I do my best to keep each pet comfortable by maintaining their usual routines as closely as possible, while also offering opportunities for enrichment based on their personality and comfort level-whether that’s a walk, hike, visit to a family member’s home, or simply relaxing in a calm environment. I’m very mindful of each pet’s needs and cues, and I’m just as happy giving them space if that’s what helps them feel most at ease. When staying in a client’s home, I’m always respectful of your space and preferences, aiming to keep your pet’s routine consistent while caring for your home with the same level of attention and respect.

About: I've owned dogs all my life and have dog sat in some capacity for family and friends for the last 10 years. I love dogs and treat each like my own. I'm reliable, flexible, and ready to work on short notice during summer. I'm willing to stay and house sit if my schedule permits. I love going for walks and hikes with pups and am not afraid to roll around on the floor for some playtime. I understand how important your pets are and will treat them as you would! I am willing to administer medicine if necessary and am flexible to other needs of your pet. Look forward to meeting you furry baby(ies)! I am a full time teacher. During the week I can let animals out early mornings and then am usually out of work by 3. My weekends are usually free. I will abide by house rules for your pet at home. If you use gates or electric collars please let me know. Happy to bring them on walks if needed.

“Elizabeth has provided the best dog boarding service for my baby boy. I am not exaggerating either. I showed a lot of concern at first, due to a prior bad experience. In return, she was extremely understanding, kind and supportive. She has very welcoming energy and a very sweet personality. Also, her pup Ohana was cute and made the whole process easier. I would absolutely book Elizabeth again for more services in the future!!! Thank you! 10/10 🙂”
