About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life and took the responsibility of taking care of and training our family dogs. They all turned out great with my first dog becoming a therapy dog helping children. Can’t imagine a world without a dog by your side! I currently work part-time and many situations able to bring a boarding dog with me; as I work with mostly older folks who would love the sweetness of a dog visit; considered therapy. About: I have over 30 years experience with dogs working with my mother who bred Golden Retrievers since 1990 at Maplenook Goldens. I've also worked through my college years with over 5 families pet and house sitting and loved it! Also worked with Ledgewood Kennels and taken obedience and breed handling classes at Southlands in Rhinebeck NY. I would love to have a part time job and working and training dogs is my dream job. About: I've taken care of dogs for the past 8 years. We (my husband and I) have rescued and adopted 3 dogs all within the past 5 years. We live on a large piece of land and have plenty of room to play fetch and go on walks. We even have a stream for a little dip or sip. We are patient and love to play over here. I believe cuddles and attention are extremely important! I work from home so I am around a lot and am always with the dogs, they are never alone. I am able to take them out regularly for walks and to play. We tend to go outside quite a bit on a nice day. I have a large property away from the road. We have a gate and a meadow nestled back in the woods where there are no cars in sight. We have a small fenced in area if that is what a particular dog needs to spend some time outside.

Over the last 12 years I’ve gone to school and graduated as a Veterinary Assistant/Veterinary Technician, currently in school for my B.A in Veterinary Technology. Taking care of animals is truly my passion whether it be in my hospital, at home or for family and friends, all pets truly get treated as if they were my own. It truly gives me joy knowing I’ve made a small difference. With all that has been stated above I do have a full time job as a ER/ICU Veterinary Nurse. “Janice was the absolute best when we left our mini dachshund Bean with her for a few days over the Christmas holiday. Bean is kind of nervous at times and requires a lot of human love and care which Janice and family provided in abundance. Usually Bean gives me the cold shoulder when I leave him overnight but he was not mad at all when I picked him up. The property is beautiful and Janice was extremely responsive including sending pictures! Would absolutely recommend Janice for anyone needing someone to care for their dogs. About: I’ve been dog sitting for people my whole life. From shitzu’s, to lab mixes. I also have two rescues of my own who I’ve worked very hard with to make comfortable and feel loved after there trauma. I am currently a full time teacher so I’m available mostly weekends. Come summer time, other than a part time job I’ll be available often. I have two high energy dogs who love to play. We do not have a fenced in yard, but it is large with woods all around. We also have a lead set up for dogs who are a flight risk.
