About: I've lived with dogs my entire life, from dachshund to german shepherds. My husband and I have a 10-year old border collie mix and a 3-year old pointer mix. They both are friendly and playful but never overwhelming. I work from home and my husband and I have flexible schedules, which allow us to always have someone at the house during the week as well as on weekends We own our house and have 6 acres. We have a yard in front and in the back of the house, as well as some woods. Our dogs run free on the property but since we do not have a fenced yard, I’d prefer using a harness and a leash for new dogs. But we have a lot of opportunities to get our 10,000 steps in !

About: I’ve loved animals since I was young, always being known to be the person who asks “Can I pet your dog?”. Having grown up living with and partially helping to train my grandparent’s standard poodle puppy at age 9, I knew then that I wanted animals in my life forever. Through the years I’ve done fundraisers for local shelters, looked after and groomed family dogs, given pet care advice, and for the last four years have worked professionally as a kennel attendant. My job has always been a joy to me, and despite its stresses I always tell people that caring for animals is the best job I could ever ask for. I’ve been able to meet and work with pets of all different breeds, sizes, temperaments, and abilities; from blind/deaf dogs, senior dogs, aggressive dogs, puppies/kittens, diabetic dogs and cats, and so many more. Each of them provides an invaluable experiences that teaches me patience, compassion, and communication. I’m now the proud owner of a 11 month old cat, Balrog, and of a 13 year old chihuahua, Mia. Though I am a full time student and a part time kennel attendant, I am able to be more flexible with my schedule over summer break. “Steve and his wife made us feel very comfortable about taking good care of our boys. We just moved to CT and they made us feel good about leaving our dogs with them. I needed to stop by their house a couple times before we left our dogs there and they totally accommodated and understand how I felt. I would recommend them to anyone because they truly cared for our dogs like we care for them!”
