About: We nicknamed our home The Dachs Inn - a weenie wonderland! We’ve cared for Dachshunds for 15 years and specialize in meeting the unique needs of this breed, including dog ramps on our furniture and deck. Our home features a dog door with all-day access to a giant backyard for potty breaks, play time, sunbathing and squirrels!!! Plush dog beds are placed through the home and a giant sectional provides the perfect spot for cuddle time. Daily walks are provided, we even have a dog stroller for senior dogs or those dachshunds suffering from IVDD. I work remotely from home full time and, along with my retired husband, provide hourly drop-in care, play dates, overnight and extended boarding in our home. Additionally, I provide home visits and walking services to families located on the west side of Colorado Springs. Other locations throughout Colorado are considered on case-by-case request for extended care in your home (5 or more days). I have three dachshunds, ages 15, 10, and under 1 year. My dog-friendly home has a fenced back yard, we feed all visiting dogs separately, and can provide daily pictures of your baby’s activities. I can also provide regular weigh-ins, medications, and teeth brushing. I am very active and love going on long walks/hikes (up to three miles) upon request. While I prefer to host only smaller dogs in our home, I am open to all breeds for care at your home - including drop-ins, walks, and house sitting. I kindly ask that all dogs are current on all vaccinations, including kennel cough. About: I have been working with all different types of dogs my whole life. Ive owened Great Danes to Chihuahuas. Recently have been walking and sitting dogs for friends. Dogs have an energy that you don't get from working with any other animal or human. I have found working with dogs makes it more fun to "work". I currently am unable to own my own dog, but am very excited to be able to help other owners out. I also enjoy getting outside and being active. If your dog likes to jog, I don't have a problem doing so. Fetch or the dog parks are also fun alternatives, if I know owners are ok with it. I’m currently working overnight shift (9:45pm-6:15am)Sat-Wed, but have plenty of time during the day to take care of your pets needs. I currently don’t have any pets, so I’d love to be able to dote on yours while you’re away. I prefer to sit in the home of the animal that is needing the care, as I feel that makes for an easier transition for the pet.

“Charlotte was very prompt in answering my request. Both Charlottr and Jessie are very down to earth and friendly. My husband and I spent 2 hours at the park with them and our dogs. It was all laughs and a good time. Our dogs got along and played together. Charlotte and Jessie were so kind to give us a treat bag and jerky for our dog when I picked her up.
