About: We nicknamed our home The Dachs Inn - a weenie wonderland! We’ve cared for Dachshunds for 15 years and specialize in meeting the unique needs of this breed, including dog ramps on our furniture and deck. Our home features a dog door with all-day access to a giant backyard for potty breaks, play time, sunbathing and squirrels!!! Plush dog beds are placed through the home and a giant sectional provides the perfect spot for cuddle time. Daily walks are provided, we even have a dog stroller for senior dogs or those dachshunds suffering from IVDD. I work remotely from home full time and, along with my retired husband, provide hourly drop-in care, play dates, overnight and extended boarding in our home. Additionally, I provide home visits and walking services to families located on the west side of Colorado Springs. Other locations throughout Colorado are considered on case-by-case request for extended care in your home (5 or more days). I have three dachshunds, ages 15, 10, and under 1 year. My dog-friendly home has a fenced back yard, we feed all visiting dogs separately, and can provide daily pictures of your baby’s activities. I can also provide regular weigh-ins, medications, and teeth brushing. I am very active and love going on long walks/hikes (up to three miles) upon request. While I prefer to host only smaller dogs in our home, I am open to all breeds for care at your home - including drop-ins, walks, and house sitting. I kindly ask that all dogs are current on all vaccinations, including kennel cough. For medical emergencies, we are established at Westside Animal Hospital, The Animal Clinic of Woodland Park, and the Emergency Pet Center.

About: All of my experience has been from personal pets and pets of family/friends. My current dog, a 4 year old Samoyed named Nimbus, trained at Under the Sun and is very accepting of other dogs. I also have a three year old toddler who is great with animals. I am a stay at home parent and so I would always be here with your pet. I like to play in the backyard with the dogs and if you are comfortable with it, I could take your dog on leashed hikes. My dog has free reign of the house and yours would as well. If I did need to run a quick errand, then your dog would be welcome to join or nap with Nimbus! I am a stay at home parent for our toddler and so I would always be around. We’re have a 4 year old Samoyed who loves other dogs and would be thrilled to have a playmate. if your dog enjoys activities, then they would be welcome to come with us on quick errands and or leashed hikes. I would, of course choose activities based on your preferences. I just want to stress that your dog would be treated like part of our family! I know that I want our dog to be comfortable and happy when I’m not with him and I would make sure that yours is as well. My main focus for care is just spending time with them and making sure they are happy! I have a four year old Samoyed who loves playing in our fenced and secure backyard and going for hikes. If your dog enjoys those activities, we would love for them to join! If your dog is older and needs a more relaxed environment then we are happy to just spend time at home with them! I do have a toddler that is not yet in daycare and so visiting dogs that are comfortable around kids would bee important from our end. We spend many days at dog parks and so our daughter is comfortable and good with other dogs and cats.

About: I have been working with all different types of dogs my whole life. Ive owened Great Danes to Chihuahuas. Recently have been walking and sitting dogs for friends. Dogs have an energy that you don't get from working with any other animal or human. I have found working with dogs makes it more fun to "work". I currently am unable to own my own dog, but am very excited to be able to help other owners out. I also enjoy getting outside and being active. If your dog likes to jog, I don't have a problem doing so. Fetch or the dog parks are also fun alternatives, if I know owners are ok with it. I’m currently working overnight shift (9:45pm-6:15am)Sat-Wed, but have plenty of time during the day to take care of your pets needs. I currently don’t have any pets, so I’d love to be able to dote on yours while you’re away. I prefer to sit in the home of the animal that is needing the care, as I feel that makes for an easier transition for the pet.

I prefer to meet before booking but I understand emergencies come up. I am completely comfortable coming to your home and walking your kiddo or staying overnight while you are away. I have a St Bernard (4 yrs old), a tabby cat (14 yrs old), a Sphynx cat (1 yr old), and our newest addition is a Border Collie (6 months old). About: I have taken care of Friends, Family and others people's pets for years now. I have experience and love animals!! I walk, feed, adminster medication, bathe, and keep company. About: I personally have 5 dogs of my own (ages 10-5, various sizes 90-18lbs) and have two cats as well. (Ages 10 & 1). I have experience with puppies, kittens and elder pets as well. I have worked as veterinary assistant for over 6 years now, and am comfortable with most things involving pet care. I'm currently free most days after dealing with some health issues, but am ready to get back out there. So my schedule currently is wide open. I am more than comfortable walking any size or age dog. I'm pretty confident in my experience with dogs to understand them and what needs they may have.
