“We weren’t able to book our normal sitter for our dog reactive pup and thought we’d have to miss a family trip until we met with Chris. Chris met with us and our pup a couple times very close to the date of the trip a to make sure our dog was comfortable in the new environment with new person. Once it seemed like he was, we talked through our dogs reactivity with Chris who was very attentive and understanding. He even went out of his way to let his neighbor (who has a dog) know he’d have a reactive pup there which was very thoughtful. During the trip, Chris gave us great updates and we felt good knowing he was in good hands. If we need a sitter again for any period of time, Chris will definitely be top of mind. Thanks Chris!”

About: I grew up around dogs. At just 10 years old, my mom involved me in dog sitting for a neighbor. I worked for her until I turned 18, cleaning kennels, walking the dogs, and dog sitting when she traveled. During college and afterward, I managed a dog care and senior dog shelter, dedicating my time to caring for the dogs. After work, I would walk the shelter dogs. I have two rescue dogs of my own and simply love being around animals. I love being around animals. I am an experienced and dedicated dog owner with over 30 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of various breeds, ages, sizes, and temperaments. About me - my husband and I have owned two beautiful Vizslas over the last 17 years and recently lost our 2nd one. I love animals, have plenty of experience caring for high energy and senior dogs (we cared for our dogs with arthritis, Cushing's Disease, muscle atrophy). I love walking, hiking and spending time with animals. I have a large 1 acre property and spacious home. No other pets, just me and my husband. I am perfectly happy caring for one pet at a time if you prefer your pet to be the only pet with me. I have also cared for friends' pets for a long time as well but am adding my services here to the Rover community. Thank you! I work from home full time, so I have a lot of flexibility. I am able to take breaks often during the day for potty breaks and walks. I am home almost everyday, but I do go out on weekends for a few hours at a time. I can bring your pet along on hikes and picnics if your pet is able to join. I prefer pets that can be left at home for at least 3-4 hours at a time and unattended. If not, we can discuss. Crates may be needed if they are unable to roam around the house alone. I have a large property, but it is unfenced, it is far from the road and our area is very very quiet, almost zero cars. I can keep your pet on a leash for potty breaks if they are prone to running away. My house is spacious and has two floors with just the two of us and no other pets. The stairs and floors are covered in non-slip rugs for pets. There is a baby gate to keep your pet away from stairs if needed. There are extra rugs for the floors if needed (our senior dogs used to slip a lot). I also have a large deck that is fully enclosed - no exit route. Since I am home almost all the time, I can take your pet for a walk and let them keep me company at home on the couch too! I can also come over your home and care for your pet there as needed (depends on length of stay requested).

About: I have been taking care of a large variety of dogs for 20 years. From eight weeks old to 16 years old, from pugs to chows and pitbulls to 140 pound malamutes I have cared for them all. I can come by to walk and feed your best friends once a day or stay and cook them meals as per your request. I want to make sure you and your loved ones are as comfortable as possible while you are away. I do freelance work so I have pretty open availability. Making sure you're needs are met so you are comfortable is my top priority. If for some reason I can't meet all of your needs I will tell you before committing to something that doesn't fit my schedule or abilities. I am here for you. How I care for your pets and home is mostly dependent on your requests. I give medicine, food and exercise as requested. I can simply fill a food bowl, measure servings and even cook protein and veggies for your dogs if that is what you want. I am happy to keep you updated or send you pictures if you'd like. Walks are as far/long/plentiful as requested. I want to provide you with the comfort of knowing someone is there to care for your loved one as you would while you are away.

About: I have had a real passion for taking care of pets, especially dogs and cats, since as long as I can remember! Having one dog and cat at home my entire life has allowed me to learn about what it takes to ensure animals are feeling taken care of as well as loved! I have done tasks from walking, feeding, bathing and some grooming (brushing teeth, brushing hair, etc). I have one part time job during the week and am currently on the hunt for a second job. Due to this my schedule is pretty flexible and I can cater to your availability! I don't have any animals with me in Silverthorne currently, so I able to give all my attention to your animals! I do not have a fenced in yard to play with your animal.

About: My wife(Emerald) and I have experience as professional dog/house sitters. For two years we traveled with our own mobile dog grooming business. We are confident in our abilities to care for elderly and young dogs. We recently took care of a liter of 6 pups and momma till they were ready to be in their forever homes. We really feel in tune with the behaviors of dogs and also enjoy cats too! We love taking walks and hiking. We are available full time since we make our own schedule. Dogs are such unique creatures and we really enjoy getting to learn about them and spend time loving on them. We would love to come play, walk, feed, and care for your pet. We have spent a lot of time with multiple dogs a day so we feel very qualified to look after your special companion. We also have special leash training skills of how to walk dogs. So we will be able to be with your pets for long periods of the day. We will be with your pets in the comfort of their home and if it something you and the pets are comfortable with we can take them with us to local places.

“We weren’t able to book our normal sitter for our dog reactive pup and thought we’d have to miss a family trip until we met with Chris. Chris met with us and our pup a couple times very close to the date of the trip a to make sure our dog was comfortable in the new environment with new person. Once it seemed like he was, we talked through our dogs reactivity with Chris who was very attentive and understanding. He even went out of his way to let his neighbor (who has a dog) know he’d have a reactive pup there which was very thoughtful.
