“Karen was an absolute lifesaver for us! We had friends visiting with their kids, and managing two dogs on top of everything would have been a lot, so having Bondi stay with her for a few days made all the difference. Karen kept us completely at ease by posting frequent updates and sharing lots of photos. From every picture, it was clear that Bondi was having the best time and getting so much love and attention. It really meant a lot to see how happy and comfortable he was while we were away. We’re so grateful for the care she gave Bondi and wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again. I highly recommend Karen to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, attentive, and genuinely caring to look after their pup!”

“Ken was even better than I could have hoped for. He took Nerf on a lot of walks, to meet and play with other dogs, and went above and beyond to give Nerf a great weekend.”

“Our pup loved staying at Jana &Colten’s place! I really appreciated that halfway through the day, she sent me pictures of him and updated me that he was doing well. He is on a shy side, so I appreciated Jana’s gentle energy when we dropped him off :) we would definitely rebook, and I think our dog enjoyed his time with them.”

“I can’t say enough about the wonderful experience we had with Tia and her family. First experience with Rover - and it was great. Our Rocky became a member of the family- took hikes - snuggled at night and when i picked him up - i could see he was well-loved. Thank you Tia!!”

I'm highly attentive to each dogs individual needs, whether it's exercise, companionship or simply a calm space to relax. Having hosted many dogs in my home and being a former dog owner looking for care over the years, I understand how important it is for both pets and owners to feel confident and comfortable. “Jen and her family were a delight to work with! They integrated our dog right into their family activities and he was happy and well-rested when I picked him up. I’d hire her again in a heartbeat!”

“John is an excellent dog sitter. Super communicative and he was so kind and caring with my dog. He was very diligent about getting my dog out for his walks and sent tons of pictures as well. Highly recommend and I will definitely be using John as a sitter again in the future.”

“We needed someone to keep our dog for the night while we went to a concert in Vail. Lola was so happy at Erin’s with both of her pups, lots of walks, a big fenced yard, and another rover pup to play with. We are so thankful and would absolutely use Erin to watch Lola again in the future.”

“Jenna took such good care of my dog, taking him on a great hike for the day I needed her to watch him (even with a short notice of needing her sitting help) Very happy and would recommend!”

“Marina did an amazing job taking care of our sheepdog, Leo. He was exercised on trails (his favorite place to be) every day. She kept us updated with pictures and videos. She was accommodating to all of his funny sheepdog quirks. Leo would highly recommend Marina (and her husband Tom)!”

“I'd be happy to help! Here's a friendlier version of the I booked this place last minute and the host was amazing! They were really communicative and sweet. My dog Harley loved his stay, and the location was super convenient for getting to and from the mountain. We even got to explore some fresh powder while I was snowboarding. It was a great experience overall!”

About: I work very part-time and not during the summer at all. I take the girls every morning on a long walk, hike or to the river to play. They come everywhere with us in the car and to the kids outings. ideally the dog we are hosting loves to hike off leash and come for car rides. Dogs must love kids (three boys ages 8, 10 and 12) and our two sweet, docile female dogs. Our dogs are never home alone more than an hour a day and roam the house when so. We also foster regularly for a local rescue but I wouldn’t overlap our foster dogs with a client. I don’t work during the summer and the rest of the year it’s very part time. We walk or hike every morning. On days that aren’t too hot the girls come with me in the car for errands and to take my kids to their activities. We have an unfenced yard and a deck. Our girls just lay in the sun but I also have a tie out if your dog isn’t perfectly trustworthy. Dogs are allowed to roam the house and sleep on any bed :) If they like their crate i’m happy to set that up for them.
“Thank you Brad, you saved the day with our last minute booking! I know the Doobs had fun when he sleeps the whole day after his stay! It was a pleasure meeting you, will use you again in the future and do highly recommend you to other river users! Next time I promise to give you more of a heads up! Thanks again!”

About: I've grown up around dogs and had my own for almost 10 years. Just because he is gone, doesn't mean I can't help others when they need it. I'm one of those people that walk into a dog park and get surrounded by the pack. I adore them! As of right now, I have all the time in the world to care for and look after all the fuzzy critters. I appreciate all animals, no matter what the species. I currently live in West Vail, not far from the dog park so lots of playtime throughout the day. I love hiking and long walks to clear the mind.

About: Greetings! Caring for animals is second nature to me. I grew up in Southern Minnesota on a hobby ranch that nurtured my deep love for animals. As I got older, I found myself in similar situations- constantly surrounded by animals of all kinds and more often than not, finding myself more at peace when surrounded by them. From cities and slopes in CO to the vast landscapes and ranches in WY, I've always worked with and looked after animals of all kinds. Your critters are in good hands with me! Besides my love for animals, I am trustworthy and genuine. I served as a Mental Health Child Counselor, Preschool Teacher, Autism Specialist, and Career Nanny for over 10 years. I own two nanny and babysitting agencies where i work from home. My passions in life include teaching mindfulness and meditation, traveling, and seeing live music. Pet Care fits into my life very easily and fluidly because I work from home, build my own schedule, and can adapt to the needs of each day. All in all, I'm a good listener and will follow the needs and requests of my clients. I am very hands-on and love to be present and engaging depending on need. The more love I can give the better. Your home will be cared for like it was my own.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs and pets for over 12 years and truly enjoy spending time with animals of all kinds. I’m reliable, attentive, and treat every pet like my own. Whether it’s walks, feeding, playtime, or just keeping them company, I make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for. I have experience with puppies, high-energy dogs, and older pets that need a gentler approach. I’m also very aware of behavior, routines, and making sure your pet stays on their normal schedule. Living an active lifestyle, I’m great for dogs that need exercise, but I’m just as happy taking it slow with more relaxed pets. Communication is important to me, so I’ll always keep you updated with photos and check-ins. I have extra time on my hands as I work on my own schedule. Can easily take off time from my daily activities to accommodate. I prioritize safety, trust, and a calm environment for every pet I care for. I follow each pet’s routine closely, including feeding schedules, exercise, and any specific instructions you provide. I always keep a clean and secure space, making sure pets are supervised and comfortable at all times. In a client’s home, I’m respectful of your space and keep everything just as I found it. I pay close attention to behavior and energy levels to ensure your pet is happy and stress-free. I also provide regular updates and photos so you feel confident and at ease while you’re away.

About: I have been around dogs my entire life! I have grown up with dogs and very familiar with most breeds. I know how to communicate with them and easily figure out if anything is wrong. I absolutely love animals and would love to be a dog trainer one day. I have open availability andI pay close attention when I am responsible for watching an animal or child. I pet sit all the time for friends (puppies, elderly, overnight, or just stopping by). If I could have my career focused on dogs, I would be ecstatic! I'm trustworthy and knowledgable. Walking and playing with dogs would be an easy task for me because I would have fun with the task since I am an active person.
“Alex was just fantastic with both our energetic and playful dogs (Belgian Malinous and Aussie Shepherd). She provided us with exactly the dog care we needed during our vacation. They were well-cared for, taken out to the beach and in a great mood when we got back. We'd gladly hire her again. Thank you, Alex!!”

“Keith helped out with a midday drop-in visit to keep my blind senior pup happy. A challenge for some to take Beacon for a walk, Keith got him down several flights of stairs and out for a walk. I appreciated the thorough notes and pixs.”
“If I could give Devon more than 5, it would need to be 20. Caring, attentive, respectful, clean, tidy, and most importantly loves our 2 cats. They are high maintenance DSH orange tabbies that beg for attention, and they got it for the 10 days we were out of the country. And, when Devon's partner, Taylor, visited, the love and attention our "boys" received went non-linear. Pictures and videos every day. The house was left clean and organized, the sheets were washed and the bed changed, attention was paid to the "rules", our "boys" were happy, and.....so were we!”

“Penelope was absolutely the best! She took great care of our dogs and cats! She communicated well, followed instructions and sent pics and videos frequently. We will definitely book her again!”

“Jana & Colten were amazing! We were in vail skiing for the day, she picked Levi up at the beginning of the day and dropped him off once we were done skiing. She was a great communicator and sent lots of adorable photos throughout the day. They got him out for lots of exercise so he was nice and exhausted once we got home. I had never left my dog with a stranger before but he took to her so well and jumped right into her car, I was shocked! Colten and Jana are such a sweet kind caring couple I knew he was in great hands! We will be using them every time we come up skiing! Thank you!!”

About: From draft horses to Labradors I have always loved taking care of animals. Growing up in North West Iowa our family has had 5 generations of working Labrador retrievers spanning from the early 1970's. Without a doubt, dogs are our favorite family tradition. I own an equine property in a beautiful part of Colorado. My day starts early taking care of the animals. From horses to goats they all require my constant care. Every day is an adventure out on the ranch. Your dog will have a country experience that most humans would envy! Your pup will be my side kick and get to make new friends!

“We can only hope to be able to utilize Annie in the future. She was fantastic in every way. Accommodating, friendly, and professional. Our pup had a dream day hiking snowy trails with her. She kept us involved throughout the day with photos and updates. She made us, as well as our dog feel comfortable instantly.”
“Kristen, Scott, and their son were wonderful with our pups while my husband and I skied for the day. They sent lots of photos, took them on a walk in the snow, and loved playing with their pup Nittany.”

About: I have a lifelong love for animals and hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats at every stage of life. I’ve owned two dogs, both rescues that I fostered and then adopted. One was a German Shepherd mix who lived a full, happy life to the age of 12, and the other is a mixed-breed terrier who is still thriving with me at nearly 9 years old. My experience includes caring for puppies and kittens, as well as senior pets who need extra patience and attention. I’m also comfortable supporting animals with medical needs, including managing conditions like diabetes. I understand how important it is to provide not just basic care, but also love, consistency, and a calm, attentive presence. I work from home, which allows me to provide consistent attention and care throughout the day. I’m able to maintain flexible scheduling, regular check-ins, and plenty of companionship for pets who prefer not to be alone for long periods. I live just a couple of hundred yards from a hiking trail, so daily walks and outdoor time are a natural part of my routine. With my own small terrier, I’m already out walking and hiking regularly, and I love including other dogs in those adventures when appropriate. Your pet’s safety is always my top priority. While I do have an unfenced yard, I will always be present and closely supervise any outdoor time. Off-leash potty breaks will only be done with your permission and for pets who are comfortable and reliable in that setting. For added safety, all walks beyond the yard, whether around the neighborhood or on nearby hiking trails will always be done on leash unless permissions provided for off-leash exercise by owner. I stay attentive, aware of surroundings, and committed to keeping your pet secure, comfortable, and well cared for at all times.

About: Helping care for pets is especially meaningful to me because my own pets are an extension of who I am. From outdoor adventures to cozy cuddles, I treat every furry friend like family and love keeping owners updated along the way. My dogs get walked twice a day and let out midday, we would rather be outside. I usually get out earlier in the morning due to the heat! I manage dogs in my home and in others’ homes with a balance of freedom, structure, and respect. In my own space, dogs have free range with a few furniture boundaries, constant access to fresh water, and regular bathroom breaks. When caring for pets in another home, I strictly follow all homeowner rules and routines to ensure pets feel comfortable and consistency is maintained.

“Annie was awesome! Even though I gave her the incorrect address, she still came and walked my pups twice and they loved it! I really appreciate her taking good care of my girls. Thank you Annie!”

About: I have had dogs ever since I could remember as a kid. I have experience sitting for small, big, old, young, and medically complex animals, also including cats and reptiles. I have administered medications/observed certain pets as well that needed a little extra attention. I really enjoy engaging your pets in the routines you have set for them and being silly with them to bring them out of their shells. I miss having my own dogs who have sadly passed from childhood and would love to spend time with them! I currently work early mornings, but can switch that around, Friday-Wednesday, usually off by 3pm. I would be able to house sit any of these days and do walks any morning and afternoon! I ensure I understand expectations from every owner on their routines and desires. I ensure I keep the place clean and give the animals the space, as well as attention, they need! I try my best to mimick what their usual routine is so when the owners get back, the transition is smooth and less anxiety stricken for both parties.

My schedule is typically flexible for walks, boards, pickups and drop offs, or whatever is needed. I have a non-fenced yard so the pet would be under direct supervision while staying with me, and I am at home most days so they would never stray too far!

About: Hi, I'm Keith, a 34-year-old Cornell graduate that grew up in a family of animal lovers! My Dad worked in the animal health industry his whole life and he instilled in us the love of taking care of dogs and all animals since I was a little boy growing up on our farm. My first dog was an older border collie named Amy I got as a five-year-old and I've been raising them ever since. The dog that shines brightest in my memory is Snowy, our family dog from when I was 11-23 years old (the white lab/retriever looking mix in the pics). We used to race hundreds of miles up and down our half-mile long driveway in Upstate NY as Snowy could run 30-32mph in his prime! We truly grew up together and after university, Snowy and I moved across the country to the mountains of Colorado where he enjoyed his namesake fully until he passed away several years ago. The joy that he brought to my family, friends, strangers and patients while volunteering in the hospital is something I'll never forget. I'm passionate about helping ease the difficulties of pet ownership for others so that they too can hopefully have the bond that Snowy and I will always have. In the last 10+ years, I've traveled long term through 80ish countries and thus have decided to wait until I lead a more consistent lifestyle to bring a new puppy into my life. However, I have been very fortunate to have the opportunity to house and pet sit for a number of friends and strangers around the world. If you have a 4-legged friend that needs a new buddy, I'm your man! I am very flexible so don't be afraid to reach out if you need someone anytime at the last minute. Most of my pet and house sitting has not come to me through Rover otherwise I'd easily have 75+ references here but happy to provide other references from Airbnb where I'm a 11-time Superhost etc. I have no set schedule. I am completely free to plan my days around your dogs. I usually make up my plans the day of. Whatever you wish is my command as it is easy for me to adopt whatever rules you prefer so your pets can have familiar consistency. I have no other responsibilities. Please see the rest of my profile and the other sections, not sure why a word limit is needed here. However they would like me to. Having cared for a variety of animals, from dogs and cats to horses, I have developed a deep understanding of their needs and behaviors. My experience spans from caring for energetic puppies to providing compassionate care for senior pets. I am comfortable administering medications, which is often required for older pets or those with health conditions. I also have experience in basic grooming services, ensuring your pet is not only well-cared for but also looks their best. One of my unique skills is working with and caring for timid dogs who need special attention and treatment. I understand that these dogs require a gentle, patient approach and I have the experience and temperament to provide the care they need. I am adept at building trust with these animals, helping them feel safe and loved even in the absence of their owners. In essence, my diverse pet care experience, coupled with my love for animals and commitment to their well-being, makes me a reliable and trustworthy choice for your pet care needs! Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily and weekly routine as I work remotely from home full time. This constant presence also allows me to quickly notice any changes in behavior or health, ensuring prompt action when necessary. In essence, my work-from-home lifestyle ensures that your pet will have a dedicated and attentive caregiver at all times. In both my home and my client's home, I prioritize safety, trust, and a nurturing environment above all else. When caring for pets in my home, I ensure that the environment is clean, safe, and pet-friendly. I remove any potential hazards and make sure that the pets have a comfortable space of their own. I respect the pet's routine and try to mimic their usual schedule as closely as possible to minimize stress. I also ensure that I have all necessary contact information and understand any specific care instructions, including dietary needs and medication schedules. When caring for pets in a client's home, I respect their space and maintain the cleanliness and order of their home. I follow the pet care instructions provided to me and ensure that the pets are comfortable and secure in their familiar environment. I also take care of any additional tasks as requested, such as watering plants or bringing in mail. In both scenarios, I believe in building trust with both the pets and their owners. I provide regular updates and photos so owners can see that their pets are safe and happy. I am always reachable and responsive, ensuring that owners can trust me with the care of their beloved pets. Overall, my goal is to provide a safe, comfortable, and loving environment for all pets in my care, regardless of whether they are in my home or their own.

“Jen and her family were a delight to work with! They integrated our dog right into their family activities and he was happy and well-rested when I picked him up. I’d hire her again in a heartbeat!”

About: Kaylie grew up in a busy, animal-filled home—surrounded by everything from dogs and cats to bunnies and guinea pigs. Axel grew up with dogs and cats of his own. While we don't have any fur babies of our own currently, we loveee animals! We've spent the last few years pet-sitting in people's homes through other platforms to get our "furry fix." We currently maintain a 5-star rating with glowing reviews from our previous house and pet sits, and we'd be more than happy to share those details with you! Your pet will have plenty of company here! Axel and I both work remotely, so someone is always home to provide attention and companionship throughout the work day. We love to stay active and naturally break up our tasks with frequent walks. Whether your dog prefers a gentle stroll or a more rigorous hike, we’re happy to tailor our activity level to their needs—including longer adventures after the work day is done. We are located right on the Eagle Valley bike path, which serves as our massive "extended backyard!" While we don't have a fenced yard, our active lifestyle means your dog will never be bored with multiple dedicated outings throughout the day tailored to their energy level.. We specialize in "on-the-go" care, taking full advantage of the nearby paths, hiking trails, and park for long walks, fetch sessions, and fresh air. Your pet will enjoy a fun stay with constant companionship and plenty of variety.

About: Recently coming off traveling the US and the way I was able to do that was pet sitting! I was able to line up dog sits and stay in areas I’ve always wanted to visit. The plus was having a dog to get to explore the outside world with. I’m moving back to Colorado and would love to keep this going by staying in new areas. Please reach out to me so I can get to know your fur babies needs! :) I currently work a 8-4 job in Edwards. I would be able to let the dog out in the am for the bathroom and when I get home I would be able to talk the dog for a long walk. There are some days I do like to go home for lunch or if I am passing by on a work route I can stop and check in - all depends on the day. Right now I would like to stick to home visits as I do have a roomate. At others homes I care for their place as I would mine. I am tidy & respectful. I like to stick to the pets routine so I would ask to leave a detailed schedule behind.
“Minda was friendly and quick to respond. Great location in Silverthorne. She watched our 2 year old golden while we went skiing on a Saturday. So helpful of a resource! Bailey had a great time with her two dogs and came back home happy and tired. We will definitely use her again!”
