About: We share our home with a 15 years young, grumpy old-man Chihuahua, a 7-year old Chihuahua mix, and a new Husky-mix puppy. Dogs provide us with so much love and kindness on a daily basis, that's why I believe we should offer that same kindness back to them! Rochelle has been caring for dogs for well over a decade, from totally healthy to those needing special care (medicine, slower walks, special feeding requirements). In general, our pups get along great with low-energy dogs and low-energy dogs are ideal clients! Though, the puppy can also help us with higher energy pups. Rochelle works from home full time. We REQUIRE a meet and greet prior to booking new clients, no exceptions. Due to medical concerns, Rochelle is only able to care for small to medium size dogs. Willing to consider dogs who are larger in size only if they have completed intensive behavioral training (such as therapy dog training or hunting dog training) in which your dog will respond to commands 100% of the time. About: Since a young age I've loved and cared for animals big and small. I grew up on a hobby farm with animals ranging from horses and chickens to dogs and cats. As an adult, I have had three dogs of my own (Rescued Aussie's & a Pommie) and a special needs cat who I had to administer sub-cutaneous fluids to on a weekly basis. About: I’ve been in love with dogs since I can remember, and my favorite type of work/volunteering has always involved them. When I was 15 I started dog sitting for my family friend, I watched and walked little Johnny twice a week for almost 2 years while his mom was out doing errands. After that, I started volunteering at the LoveJoy Foundation, an animal rescue in California. I walked dogs, cleaned crates, and even helped with vaccinations once a week at adoption events! My time at LoveJoy was one of the most rewarding experiences ever, and it taught me how to work with different types of dogs and different behaviors, including neurodivergent and disabled pups. I have a family dog of my own, sweet Montana, who will always be my best friend no matter how far apart we are. Montana is a bit older now, so we mostly enjoy hanging out on the couch together, but in his prior years I loved taking him on hikes, to the dog beach, and really anywhere that I went. I also have a crested gecko named Axel! I’m currently a junior at CU Boulder, so I do have school during the week but only for about 2-3 hours each day, most of the time I’m home to care for a pup! I absolutely love being outside here in Boulder, it’s too beautiful not to be, so walks and adventures are plentiful! I have a large house for your pup to roam around, but if it’s preferred that he stays in a crate during the day I can accommodate that too! My yard isn’t fenced, but we would have a lot of outside time at the park and on walks exploring all corners of Boulder. I do have experience dog sitting in client’s homes, I know that some dogs are probably more comfortable staying in their own home!

We had never left our dog with anyone other than family prior to moving to the area, but Joanne put all of our worries at ease. He has stayed with her for two extended stays now and he absolutely loves it (and so do we!). She is very communicative and sends pictures regularly. The dogs clearly have an amazing time while they’re there with days full of pets and activities. We will be planning to leave our dog with Joanne many times in the future, and recommend anyone else looking for reliable dog care to do the same!”
