“Everything about Koda’s stay with Corinne was perfect. She accommodated us stopping by a couple times to pick up Koda for hikes (since dogs weren’t allowed at our condo). She even offered to pick him up once to let us avoid the construction traffic back to her house. She did a great job feeding Koda his antibiotics and eye drops too. Corinne was very capable with our independent Great Pyrenees and he clearly loved staying with Corinne and her son. About: I never truly appreciated the love and curiosity of a cat until I adopted mine from the shelter I volunteered at for 3 years. I was in charge of the cat rooms and would have to clean their cages daily, change food and water, administer meds when necessary, and show all my love and affection to those that wanted it (you know how some cats can be haha). My cat (Tyson) has now officially "adopted" my parents so I do not have any pets at the moment other than 2 dogs I share with my partner who live with him. I have multiple references from here in CO, MI, NJ, and The Netherlands, if needed.

Within 2 minutes, Atticus was leaning up against Savannah and having her pet, hug, and play with him. He really looks forward to her visits. Savannah is also great for the humans too. She communicates clearly and promptly. She has been and continues to save my butt visiting Atticus and feeding lunches while I'm at work during the week. About: I grew up caring for animals on our farm and have always had a deep love for them. My own fur baby Moge passed away a few years ago. He was such a sweet nugget who gave me plenty of experience. I understand how to read animal’s behavior and listen for cues of distress/anxiety. I have experience with dogs of different sizes and breeds. I will treat your fur baby as if they were my own and will respect boundaries and rules that you have in place for their training and schedule. I currently have a flexible schedule and I am able to accommodate many different requests including weekday and weekend house sitting or over night stays. Safety first, during walks I prefer dogs to be on harnesses so as to limit the potential for injuries due to sudden jerks. I know first hand how some pups can get scared of oncoming traffic or excited by other wildlife, your pet’s health is my top concern. Walking should help their health not hurt it. I always allow pets to warm up to me when doing drop in visits and do my best to minimize stress during the visit. An owner’s absence can be confusing and stressful for the pet, it’s important they feel loved and safe. I will do everything I can to adhere to the boundaries you have in place with your pet such as jumping, treats, boundary areas in the home, ect. We can discuss these in detail prior to booking.

About: My family has rescued dogs since I was born! Breeds I've had or pet sitted for include Beagles, Bassets, Border Collies, Golden Retrievers, Cocker Spaniels, Weiners, Presa Canarios, Pit Bulls, Yorkies, Bernese Mountain Dogs, mixed breeds, dozens of cats and even a Vietnamese Pig! I adopted a Tabby cat from the shelter I volunteered at for 3 years (however, he has now "adopted" my parents and lives a very spoiled life in MI). Working at the shelter taught me how to be extra patient with certain breeds who came from unfortunate situations and/or environments. I cleaned their cages, took them for walks, administered meds, and showed them as much love as possible if they allowed it. I am a very affectionate person, love fur cuddles, and am not afraid to get dirty (I've had puppies and senior dogs) and have a natural ability to connect with animals. I am also very aware that some pets just need their personal space and have different needs, just like people (only better). I am an avid hiker and yogi and love including pets in any related activity I can so that they get to exercise and/or relax with me. I also am respectful that not all animals are created the same and am completely fine with just feeding them, walking them, and letting them have their own space if that's their preference. I work from home except for one day a week and do not have any dependents, so I have a pretty flexible schedule and lifestyle. I occasionally work a few hours on weekends at a food truck but can either bring your pet with me or they can hang for a few hours at my place. I also have reliable transportation (good 'ol Jeep) that can fit multiple pets of all shapes and sizes :-) I have an open floor plan apartment with a 110' ft. balcony overlooking Mt. Massive and live within one mile of two dog parks and within close distance to a safe, walkable downtown area. I also have a partner who owns property with a fenced yard and we share two rescue dogs (husky mix and shepherd mix) but they live with him. I have a pretty open floor plan and not a lot of "stuff," and am always aware of what items are around to put away so that the pet cannot get into anything. I have one set of stairs that go up to the apartment, and can also keep extra blankies, toys, and owner approved treats (if allowed) to make sure that the pet feels as safe and comfortable as possible.

I have administered medications/observed certain pets as well that needed a little extra attention. Dogs understand me and I understand them, similar to whisperer status. I’ve been known to greet dogs before I acknowledge its human(s) but I know none of you blame me for that! I’m an all around animal person who also has experience with caring for exotic reptiles, amphibians, birds and aquatic animals. I have had dogs of all sizes and age throughout my life and also currently have dogs and cats of my own. “Everything about Koda’s stay with Corinne was perfect. She accommodated us stopping by a couple times to pick up Koda for hikes (since dogs weren’t allowed at our condo). She even offered to pick him up once to let us avoid the construction traffic back to her house. She did a great job feeding Koda his antibiotics and eye drops too. Corinne was very capable with our independent Great Pyrenees and he clearly loved staying with Corinne and her son.
