“Left my dog feeling stressed because this was his first overnight away from home! He truly could not have been in better hands! I received pictures during his stay and this was so comforting. Thank you, Lynne!”
“Julia was fantastic! She was so sweet with our pups and provided regular updates and pictures. She was very communicative and flexible with our touch and go scheduling. Highly recommend!”

“Raffelina is an excellent" puppy sitter". She took care of our 15 year old and our 1 year old. She took great care of our older dog who can't hear or see and I believe she was very caring and loving toward her. The same with our little puppy who demands a lot of attention too. Communication with us was exceptional. We received both texts and pictures. I highly recommend Raffelina to care for any pets.”
“Sarah was conscientious, loving, and relaxed with our baby during the weekend stay in Salida. We felt confident and at peace while she cared for and entertained our dog. If you are visiting Salida, and can’t have your pet at the place you are staying, Sarah’s service is the perfect solution! Her communication, updates, genuine love and playful joy for her furry clients, were all so appreciated! Thank you!!!”

“Melissa was wonderful caring for our puppy Ollie. Ollie settled in quickly at Melissa’s house and loved being with her! Melissa sent us pictures of Ollie and kept us informed of how Ollie was doing. You can tell that Melissa loves dogs and Ollie adored her too. We felt comfortable leaving Ollie with Melissa while we were on a trip. Would highly recommend Melissa! Thank you Melissa!!!”

About: I have had dogs since I was a kid and I couldn’t imagine life without them! I have helped family members, friends and neighbors care for their dogs over the years. I enjoy walking and playing with our dog and will include your sweet baby in our family walks and play! My backyard is safe and secure and has plenty of room for dogs to play and run! I have a doggie door and have found that dogs figure out how to use it with ease, if they don’t have one at their home. My grandchildren are here periodically and are also dog lovers! I’m currently working part time, 3 days per week, 4 hours per day. My dog and I walk about 3 miles, most days. The rest of the day is spent with her following me around and helping me with my chores, even help me go potty!!! I have a fully fenced yard with room to play. I currently have 1 dog, she’s a silver lab and is about 9 years old. She’s a good girl, most of the time! My dog gets dog treats on our walks and throughout the day. She currently eats twice per day, 6 am and 5:30 pm. We are able to adjust schedules for your dog, if necessary.
About: Not only have I had many fur babies over the years, I have a very special place in my heart for them. Throughout the years, I have also cared for other people's fur babies. I currently work full time with set hours. I can easily accommodate to morning and evenings schedules, including weekends. There isn't much in a schedule I couldn't accommodate. I have a privacy fencedbyard with lots of room to run. It is a very safe area to have dogs in and close proximity to the library for walking.
About: Our family had dogs since I was a young boy; I've had many since then. I've also trained them. We also had fish, hamsters, birds, reptiles and lizards as pets. Some 15 years ago, one of my dogs went blind... I cared for him for 10 yrs after that until he passed away. He never left my side. A few years ago, I got another dog but she died of cancer last year. At the moment, I don't have a dog (she died) but I have 5 cats. I do rather well with both and my cats are quite used to dogs. I used to live on a ranch where we raised Arabians; I was responsible for feeding & caring as many as 18 horses. When I was younger, I rode often and played polo. My father passed 10 yrs ago and his wife sold our ranch. I am available to feed horses provided that I'm paid the time it takes to travel back and forth. I am available for cat/dog sitting & feeding. If you need dog boarding, please let me know if you pet gets along with cats. I work from home, so I am a home quite a bit. I also have a flexible schedule, and this can be accomodated to work around certain issues or conflicts. Please contact me with any questions, concerns, or comments. I have a large (unfenced) yard, but I am willing to take your pet on walks in my neighborhood, as needed. I live one block away from a park. I am home quite often, so your pet will rarely be left alone. I am available for drop-ins, visits, or even overnights.

About: Currently, only taking overnight guests (boarding in my home) on a case-by-case basis. Please ask. I have a rescue puppy who so far, gets along great with every dog she meets. I have been around pets all my life. I've looked after my own and friends' and family's animals specifically cats and dogs. I will give lots of time, personalized attention, walks and love to your pet while you are away. I offer in-home pet sitting in my home in town, or in your home depending on your location. This personalized and individualized care compared to boarding or kenneling seems to be preferable for happy pets and owners. I'm fully retired and while I enjoy the outdoors -- hiking and walking, camping and fishing, I also have plenty of time to devote to caring for pets whose owners are busy or away. My yard is fully fenced and conveniently located in the town of Westcliffe. If boarding, your pet would be allowed to treat our home like its own. If in your home (within a reasonable distance), scheduled visits will meet your specific requirements such as play time, short walks and feeding schedules.

“Paige was great. I was in Salida working at an event and she picked up and dropped off my dog, she was very punctual. Our two dogs got on well. My dog went on long hikes and was happy and tired when I got her back. Would definitely recommend Paige for anyone needing a sitter or dog walker.”

About: Bailey Barker and i walk most every day in the forests next to wilderness mountain area safely with little or no vehicle interface. We have numerous 2 to 5 mile loops, with little or no vehicle interface possible. We live on our land now in a RV while building our home next to a huge green belt with a constantly running noisy stream that leads into the wilderness, i envision one many two long term dogs staying with us, while their owners are traveling internationally. In my life time i have trekked through 2000 miles of the Colorado Wilderness with the first Bailey Barker and my four pack goats...We walk 2 times a day on one of our many beautiful mountain trails, during the heat of the day I am building my house and the dogs are hanging out in the shade somewhere next to a beautiful cool, double entendre, stream... I have to care for my aloof special needs sub Standard Poodle, so i have some unused quality time to share with a paying customer my wonderful natural world... I am just finishing the fence around my beautiful property. This will give me the out side security with my fence and the containment my customer's best friends need for their safety, and my and theirs sanity, i have made to the 21 st Century...
“Julia was great with both dogs! This was a last minute request and Julia was more than happy to accept both doggies! We appreciated her accepting a 3-month old puppy and know there can be challenges with a puppy. She also took both dogs on a walk and snuggled and loved on them! We will use Julia again (in fact, tomorrow for Jasper).”

“Aimee is great with my nervous dogs, communicates well, and adapts to the unexpected. My female, Snowflake, sits down when she wants to return home, which she did to Aimee earlier in the walk than usual. Aimee just walked her home and past in another direction to get the walk in.”
“Jamie is the best! We come up to Tahoe regularly and every time she is up for walking our pup without question. Even made arrangements for a walk within 2 hours, saving the day for us while we were on the slopes. She lets the pup run free which tires her out and we all know that a tired pup is a good pup :)”
