About: I strive to treat everyone's furbabies with the highest level of care as if they're my own. I've cared for every age of dog and cat for...really my whole life. I can administer medications and keep an eye on and assist more "special needs" furbabies if needed. I am a Biology major and try to learn as much as I can to care for animals the best I possibly can. I am currently working on animal first aid but I do know human FA so I can spot an emergency and care for minor wounds. I am currently working as needed at my job but, even then, my days are really open. I do have medical appointments here and there so sometimes I just need to leave the house for those but I try to return to the house expeditiously because I dont want the animals to be alone for too long. I understand not leaving dogs (especially) for too long between potty breaks so I can work around that but I try to stay at the house for 95+ percent of the time I am sitting. I purposely work around the animal's schedule so that they can be as comfortable and cared for as possible. I try to get as much information from the owner as possible so that I can make the time as similar to when the owner is around. I know changes can be stressful so avoiding any as much as possible is the best. I am known to be a cuddler but if they want their space I can definitely give it. I can give outside time to the best of my abilities and can transport in my own car with great safety if needed (e.g. if they love lake play, etc.). For younger animals, I can give regular care and make sure the space stays clean and cared for as best as possible. I understand that they need more supervision and help. I also try my best to keep an eye on outdoor heavy animals and shy animals to make sure theyre doing alright during my stay as well.

We have a nervous dog, so new places and people can make her hesitant. She immediately took to the sitter and the house. If she is uncomfortable it becomes obvious quickly, once we received a pic of her napping and comfortable we knew we made the right decision. “Like many others, I am an anxious dog mom and can be a bit nervous trusting new people to take care of my girl, Jagger. She’s a sensitive soul, and I’ve had a few bad experiences in the past. However, I’m so happy to say that Dan exceeded expectations with my pup! I took her to his home for a day of daycare, and she had the best time. Dan has a nice home and spacious backyard, which is great for my dog since she’s a big girl and enjoys sniffing, running around and basking in sun like a lizard. He has two dogs of his own, which was a huge bonus for her since she loves making new friends. She loved Dan from the moment they met and loved him just as much (maybe even more!) when I picked her up. Seeing how she acts around caretakers is a huge indicator for me about how comfortable she is and how well she’s being taken care of while I’m away. Dan gets 10/10 stars for this. Even when I came to pick her up, she was still running over the Dan for pets and lovins! She was happy to see me and ready to go home but not in a “please get me out of here” way that I’ve experienced before with other daycares and caretakers. What’s more, whenever I reached out to check on how things were going, Dan responded to me in a timely manner. It was also extremely comforting to know that Dan has such an extensive background in animal care/welfare. It reassured me that he knows what to do if something is wrong with my pup. Overall, I’m really happy with Dan and how he cared for my sweet girl! I’m so excited to have found a good fit for my dog!”

About: Im 18 years old and I’ve never lived without a dog in my house! I have a large yard with some cats and a dog in house! I currently don’t have a job so I can be as attentive as needed! I wake up pretty early so walks and potty breaks are no biggie! I have 1 cat and 1 dog who are both super duper friendly! I also have an entirely fenced yard that is decently big! I also live in a nice neighborhood that is great for walks.

About: I have cared for a dog since I was a child and always have had pets (dogs, Guinea pigs, frogs, fish, hamsters, cats, etc). I have done a lot of pet sitting and have had experience caring for a lot of animals with a lot of different personalities. I have also spent time volunteering with SPCA and Underdog in Moab. I am a park ranger and work, but have plenty of free time and would be happy to spend time caring for animals. I rarely work late into the evening.
