“Jen and her family were a delight to work with! They integrated our dog right into their family activities and he was happy and well-rested when I picked him up. I’d hire her again in a heartbeat!”

“Jana and Colten were amazing! They watched my 5-month old puppy, Ajax, for 2 nights while I took a last minute business trip. They took him to the local dog park and I can tell he got plenty of exercise and attention and I felt really relieved with him in their care! Very good and quick communication also. 10/10”

“Tania and her daughter took great care of Bandit for a full week. We received frequent notes and pictures. He had a lot of walks. He loved playing with their dogs and was treated like part of the family.”

“Erin and her family were fantastic sitters for my dog Pika! Erin sends lots of photos and has 2 very friendly dogs that made Pika feel right at home. Especially in a pinch when we had last minute plans around Christmas. Highly recommend, thank you so much Erin!”

“We’ve had wonderful experiences boarding our dog with Katie and Ryan. They are communicative, kind and willing to accommodate our dog’s medication schedule. We received regular updates and photos, and it’s clear our dog was happy and well-cared for in their care. Highly recommend!”

“Kaylie and Axel were so incredibly kind to our beagle, Beau! We received daily updates and pictures. He was well cared for and they went above and beyond to take him on extra walks and adventures.”

“John is an excellent dog sitter. Super communicative and he was so kind and caring with my dog. He was very diligent about getting my dog out for his walks and sent tons of pictures as well. Highly recommend and I will definitely be using John as a sitter again in the future.”

“Kristin and her family took great care of Olive! They provided updates and sent cute photos of Olive during her stay. We would definitely book them again if we need a Rover in the Vail area.”

“Karen was an absolute lifesaver for us! We had friends visiting with their kids, and managing two dogs on top of everything would have been a lot, so having Bondi stay with her for a few days made all the difference. Karen kept us completely at ease by posting frequent updates and sharing lots of photos. From every picture, it was clear that Bondi was having the best time and getting so much love and attention. It really meant a lot to see how happy and comfortable he was while we were away. We’re so grateful for the care she gave Bondi and wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again. I highly recommend Karen to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, attentive, and genuinely caring to look after their pup!”

“Marina did an amazing job taking care of our sheepdog, Leo. He was exercised on trails (his favorite place to be) every day. She kept us updated with pictures and videos. She was accommodating to all of his funny sheepdog quirks. Leo would highly recommend Marina (and her husband Tom)!”

“My pup was happy and well loved when we picked him up! The picture updates were highlights of our days away. He was a bit dustier at pickup than when we used the local boarding facility, but totally worth it for his happiness! 10/10 would use again. In fact, just requested a rebook for next month.”

Every day she took Bea to the lake to play fetch, which was the highlight of her day, and it was clear she received so much love, attention, and exercise. We came home to a happy, well-cared-for pup and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We would gladly book Monica again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for outstanding care.”

About: Life is better with dogs and I often say we don’t deserve them! I’ve grown up with dogs and currently have 4 adorable miniature dachshunds. I wanted 2 more but my partner threw down the hammer on me saying no. I’ve used Rover in the past and had some really amazing experiences and one, not so great experience, so I understand the value in finding the right person to stay, play and take care of your loved ones. I’ve always valued my caretaker sending plenty of photos and videos while I’m away, so I always said if I did this for others, I would do the same! Trust and reliability are the most important things I’ve always looked for in having someone stay in my home with my pets while I’m away, and that’s what you get from me! I am currently retired and am fully available day and night! My partner and our 4 dogs stay at our house in Denver full time, and I stay at my house here in the Vail Valley, so there are no conflicts with my schedule. I would be the only person taking care of your pets! Pets are children. Always have been and always will be in my book. I love to play with, walk and snuggle them. I like to give them the same unconditional love they give us.

I have experience with puppies, high-energy dogs, and older pets that need a gentler approach. I’m also very aware of behavior, routines, and making sure your pet stays on their normal schedule. Living an active lifestyle, I’m great for dogs that need exercise, but I’m just as happy taking it slow with more relaxed pets. Communication is important to me, so I’ll always keep you updated with photos and check-ins. I have extra time on my hands as I work on my own schedule. Can easily take off time from my daily activities to accommodate. I prioritize safety, trust, and a calm environment for every pet I care for. About: Greetings! Caring for animals is second nature to me. I grew up in Southern Minnesota on a hobby ranch that nurtured my deep love for animals. As I got older, I found myself in similar situations- constantly surrounded by animals of all kinds and more often than not, finding myself more at peace when surrounded by them. From cities and slopes in CO to the vast landscapes and ranches in WY, I've always worked with and looked after animals of all kinds. Your critters are in good hands with me! Besides my love for animals, I am trustworthy and genuine. I served as a Mental Health Child Counselor, Preschool Teacher, Autism Specialist, and Career Nanny for over 10 years. I own two nanny and babysitting agencies where i work from home. My passions in life include teaching mindfulness and meditation, traveling, and seeing live music. Pet Care fits into my life very easily and fluidly because I work from home, build my own schedule, and can adapt to the needs of each day. All in all, I'm a good listener and will follow the needs and requests of my clients. I am very hands-on and love to be present and engaging depending on need. The more love I can give the better. Your home will be cared for like it was my own.

About: Dogs Rule!! The End. I think most dog and animal lovers can agree. Currently I live and work from my home in Eagle, Colorado. I live on a quiet street in a great part of Town. Living right next to a park and the Eagle River allows access to trails everywhere right out my door. Having a four legged adventure partner is a wonderful way to enjoy so many things this area has to offer. Being a long time dog owner I can't imagine my life without a dog in it. Recently my dog Sonny passed away. He was a small Pomeranian who thought he was the size of a Bear! Having such a small dog with a big attitude helped me to learn how to manage a pack of dogs of all sizes. Sonny's best friend was a very hefty Pit mix named T-bone. Quite the odd couple. My house has always been a dog friendly place. Now I am dogless and looking to love others dogs. I left my day job in academia to pursue another passion. Being creative! I now own and operate a custom picture framing business. I work from home and love the flexibility I have to set my own schedule. When your dog is with me they will be my side kick through the day. Whether it is hanging with me in the workshop, or adventuring with me when we all need a break. It is easy to have impromptu backyard adventures around here.
About: I have been a dog mom for the last seventeen years, but my last fur-baby crossed the rainbow bridge this year, so I have some free time to help others care for their babies. I have a full-time 8a-4p M-F career that allows me the freedom to housesit on weekends and do nightly checkins after 5p (morning stops available if Eagle/Gypsum local). I have a fenced in backyard and a cozy bed to sleep in (or crate if needed) for any seeking a pet retreat for a weekend. My roommate had a small chihuahua mix and house cat, but they can be separated. If house sitting, I am able to come over and love on your fur-children if you need a weekend getaway. I’m also available to stay overnight in your home if that would help ease the pets anxiety and stress.

About: Located in Vail for the time being. In the past, I have been a full time foster to over 50 dogs! Most were pairs of puppies under a year old (occasionally 3 at a time). I also have experience providing care for a dog after a major back procedure. Additionally, I have taken care of dogs as small as a chihuahua and as big as an Alaskan malamute. I am willing to take high-energy breeds of dogs on long walks to get their exercise in and even to local dog parks for socializing! I have a very flexible schedule and I am willing to accommodate any needs of the owners. Please message me with any further questions! :-) I currently work Sunday through Wednesday, 9-5. On my days off I like to ski, but am willing to occasionally take a day off the hill to play with pups! I can provide a loving and safe environment for your dog as needed. I do not have any other pets and will devote most of my day to hanging with your pooch when they are in my care.

With over 15 years of hands-on experience as a veterinary technician and 30+ years of caring for pets of all ages, I understand what it takes to keep animals happy, healthy, and comfortable. I’m currently pursuing my Master’s in Public Health, which has kept me from having a pet of my own right now—but I truly miss the daily joy of animal companionship. That’s why I look forward to spending quality time with your pets, giving them the same love, patience, and care I’d give my own. I currently work for myself as a private academic tutor and have flexibility. I try to update availability as often as possible however, I do have clients outside of this application that reach out last minute. I currently reside in Wildwood located in Avon. I have a small backyard and a deck for outside time in addition to close proximity to trails for longer walks.

About: I have been around dogs my entire life! I have grown up with dogs and very familiar with most breeds. I know how to communicate with them and easily figure out if anything is wrong. I absolutely love animals and would love to be a dog trainer one day. I have open availability andI pay close attention when I am responsible for watching an animal or child. I pet sit all the time for friends (puppies, elderly, overnight, or just stopping by). If I could have my career focused on dogs, I would be ecstatic! I'm trustworthy and knowledgable. Walking and playing with dogs would be an easy task for me because I would have fun with the task since I am an active person.
“Alex was just fantastic with both our energetic and playful dogs (Belgian Malinous and Aussie Shepherd). She provided us with exactly the dog care we needed during our vacation. They were well-cared for, taken out to the beach and in a great mood when we got back. We'd gladly hire her again. Thank you, Alex!!”

About: From draft horses to Labradors I have always loved taking care of animals. Growing up in North West Iowa our family has had 5 generations of working Labrador retrievers spanning from the early 1970's. Without a doubt, dogs are our favorite family tradition. I own an equine property in a beautiful part of Colorado. My day starts early taking care of the animals. From horses to goats they all require my constant care. Every day is an adventure out on the ranch. Your dog will have a country experience that most humans would envy! Your pup will be my side kick and get to make new friends!
“Jana & Colten were amazing! We were in vail skiing for the day, she picked Levi up at the beginning of the day and dropped him off once we were done skiing. She was a great communicator and sent lots of adorable photos throughout the day. They got him out for lots of exercise so he was nice and exhausted once we got home. I had never left my dog with a stranger before but he took to her so well and jumped right into her car, I was shocked! Colten and Jana are such a sweet kind caring couple I knew he was in great hands! We will be using them every time we come up skiing! Thank you!!”

About: I love to walk and spend time with pets, they are the best companions. Going for walks with my pet is a joy. I love to play with them and making shure that they have all their needs met. I start my day walking with my pet. When I am home I like to play with them in my fenced back yard. At the end of the day we always go for another walk to the park. I take the pets outside as soon as we wake up. I make sure that they always have access to food and water. Then we go for a nice walk and play.
“Marina was fantastic! We were in Vail for a wedding as we passed through to our final destination. We left Lucky with Marina for an entire day and he was played with, walked, feed and cuddled. Marina sent me pictures and a video and Lucky was content and happy. Would highly recommend Marina to sit your dog!”

“Taylor was the perfect sitter! She was so easy to communicate with. We will definitely use her again when we are back in town. She made everything so easy and smooth. Highly recommend!”

“Kristen, Scott, and their son were wonderful with our pups while my husband and I skied for the day. They sent lots of photos, took them on a walk in the snow, and loved playing with their pup Nittany.”

“Olivia was awesome! She seemed very considerate and loving of our little old special needs boy. It was great to be able to work and play at our conference knowing he was in good hands”

“Natasha was great! She was flexible even offered many suggestions for things for the humans to do in the area while she watched our pup. Cadence was so excited to see her again and she did a wonderful job handling her. Would absolutely recommend and would book her again if we come back to the Rocky’s!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since a very young age and I’ve always had one or multiple in my family!! Now I have my puppy named Figgy and we’re both ready to make some new friends and create fun memories with them!! Coming the off season I have a lot more free time, I’m always off in the mornings and my boyfriend is always home in the afternoon so it works out perfectly for having a happy and always accompanied pet :) I try to be as careful as I can to follow a pets routine wether that be in my house or theirs. I think it’s all built from respect and trust.
“Ryan was wonderful with our 1 year old dog. He was attentive, easy to communicate with, and made our dog feel right at home. Moreover, he would send us pictures and videos throughout the day to let us know that our dog was doing well in his new surroundings. Lastly, he has a very sweet dog that our dog loved and seemed to bond with almost instantly. Would definitely book with Ryan again!”

About: I have a lifelong love for animals and hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats at every stage of life. I’ve owned two dogs, both rescues that I fostered and then adopted. One was a German Shepherd mix who lived a full, happy life to the age of 12, and the other is a mixed-breed terrier who is still thriving with me at nearly 9 years old. My experience includes caring for puppies and kittens, as well as senior pets who need extra patience and attention. I’m also comfortable supporting animals with medical needs, including managing conditions like diabetes. I understand how important it is to provide not just basic care, but also love, consistency, and a calm, attentive presence. I work from home, which allows me to provide consistent attention and care throughout the day. I’m able to maintain flexible scheduling, regular check-ins, and plenty of companionship for pets who prefer not to be alone for long periods. I live just a couple of hundred yards from a hiking trail, so daily walks and outdoor time are a natural part of my routine. With my own small terrier, I’m already out walking and hiking regularly, and I love including other dogs in those adventures when appropriate. Your pet’s safety is always my top priority. While I do have an unfenced yard, I will always be present and closely supervise any outdoor time. Off-leash potty breaks will only be done with your permission and for pets who are comfortable and reliable in that setting. For added safety, all walks beyond the yard, whether around the neighborhood or on nearby hiking trails will always be done on leash unless permissions provided for off-leash exercise by owner. I stay attentive, aware of surroundings, and committed to keeping your pet secure, comfortable, and well cared for at all times.
About: Working with animals has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. I am currently working as a vet assistant and have been for the past 6 years! Working as a vet assistant, my roles include drawing blood, administering vaccines/injections/medications, assisting the doctor in surgeries, taking care of animals recovering from surgery or in critical care, and much much more. I work with more than 20 different patients a day so I have seen many different animal behaviors, situations, and cases. And I love every single patient. For any senior pets or special need pets, I can administer any medications, give injections, administer fluids, etc. Using my medical experience I will be aware if your pet is not feeling okay while you’re away. I will make sure your pet is loved, kissed, and played with so it will feel like you never left. I can also provide other services such as nail trims, anal glands, baths. I have a genuine love for animals and would love to expand my love for them by taking care of your fur babies. I would love to create a relationship that your pet is familiar with while you’re away. I am available during the afternoon, noon or mid-day, and weekends. I can accommodate times if needed for your pet, just let me know please. I have a fenced yard and a very friendly dog but can separate if needed since I do have 2 floors. Or can even crate them if that’s where they’re comfortable.
“Monica was very warm and welcoming. Dropped off the pup so I could spend a day at the hot springs. She was eager to hang out with new people and seemed very relaxed when I picked her up. Would definitely book again!”

“Christian was such a great communicator! He was so helpful for us when we needed a sitter last minute. He took our dog for a 3 mile walk when we were gone and she had such a great day. Would highly recommend!”

I have a job that affords the ability to take a dog walk or stop over for a quick feeding at any time of day or night I only frequent parks and areas that are safe so me and your dog will be as well. I would only walk your dog by itself or with his siblings. Also I would not go to off-leash dog parks unless specifically requested.
About: I’ve lived and cared for animals since I was 8 years old, starting with dogs and rats, to even birds and cats! Im a huge animal lover and super patient with my fur babies. I’m working a part-time job about 4 days a week so I‘ve had a lot of free-time for doggie walks and pet sits! It is best to reach me by my phone number or through the app so we can figure out a time that works between us. I have an apartment in Avon Colorado with an outdoor area for walks and a balcony to rest on. It’s spacious inside for a large bed and toys as well!

“Abby took great care of my puppy, Scout! She was super flexible with her schedule and kept me updated with pictures and info about the walks! I would highly recommend her!”

About: I’ve cared for dogs all my life, worked with all breeds, volunteered with dog non-profits, and I am the preferred dogsitter of my friends as well. I have experience with many breeds ranging from border collies to chihuahuas! I currently work from home, with additional part time work on some weekends in town. My schedule is typically flexible for walks, boards, pickups and drop offs, or whatever is needed. I have a non-fenced yard so the pet would be under direct supervision while staying with me, and I am at home most days so they would never stray too far!
About: Hi, I'm Keith, a 34-year-old Cornell graduate that grew up in a family of animal lovers! My Dad worked in the animal health industry his whole life and he instilled in us the love of taking care of dogs and all animals since I was a little boy growing up on our farm. My first dog was an older border collie named Amy I got as a five-year-old and I've been raising them ever since. The dog that shines brightest in my memory is Snowy, our family dog from when I was 11-23 years old (the white lab/retriever looking mix in the pics). We used to race hundreds of miles up and down our half-mile long driveway in Upstate NY as Snowy could run 30-32mph in his prime! We truly grew up together and after university, Snowy and I moved across the country to the mountains of Colorado where he enjoyed his namesake fully until he passed away several years ago. The joy that he brought to my family, friends, strangers and patients while volunteering in the hospital is something I'll never forget. I'm passionate about helping ease the difficulties of pet ownership for others so that they too can hopefully have the bond that Snowy and I will always have. In the last 10+ years, I've traveled long term through 80ish countries and thus have decided to wait until I lead a more consistent lifestyle to bring a new puppy into my life. However, I have been very fortunate to have the opportunity to house and pet sit for a number of friends and strangers around the world. If you have a 4-legged friend that needs a new buddy, I'm your man! I am very flexible so don't be afraid to reach out if you need someone anytime at the last minute. Most of my pet and house sitting has not come to me through Rover otherwise I'd easily have 75+ references here but happy to provide other references from Airbnb where I'm a 11-time Superhost etc. I have no set schedule. I am completely free to plan my days around your dogs. I usually make up my plans the day of. Whatever you wish is my command as it is easy for me to adopt whatever rules you prefer so your pets can have familiar consistency. I have no other responsibilities. “Jana and Colten were amazing! They watched my 5-month old puppy, Ajax, for 2 nights while I took a last minute business trip. They took him to the local dog park and I can tell he got plenty of exercise and attention and I felt really relieved with him in their care! Very good and quick communication also. 10/10”

“John is an excellent dog sitter. Super communicative and he was so kind and caring with my dog. He was very diligent about getting my dog out for his walks and sent tons of pictures as well. Highly recommend and I will definitely be using John as a sitter again in the future.”

“Monica was absolutely exceptional! She took such wonderful care of our dog, Bea, and treated her like one of her own.
“I'd be happy to help! Here's a friendlier version of the I booked this place last minute and the host was amazing! They were really communicative and sweet. My dog Harley loved his stay, and the location was super convenient for getting to and from the mountain. We even got to explore some fresh powder while I was snowboarding. It was a great experience overall!”

About: I work very part-time and not during the summer at all. I take the girls every morning on a long walk, hike or to the river to play. They come everywhere with us in the car and to the kids outings. ideally the dog we are hosting loves to hike off leash and come for car rides. Dogs must love kids (three boys ages 8, 10 and 12) and our two sweet, docile female dogs. Our dogs are never home alone more than an hour a day and roam the house when so. We also foster regularly for a local rescue but I wouldn’t overlap our foster dogs with a client. I don’t work during the summer and the rest of the year it’s very part time. We walk or hike every morning. On days that aren’t too hot the girls come with me in the car for errands and to take my kids to their activities. We have an unfenced yard and a deck. Our girls just lay in the sun but I also have a tie out if your dog isn’t perfectly trustworthy. Dogs are allowed to roam the house and sleep on any bed :) If they like their crate i’m happy to set that up for them.
