About: We absolutely love animals, and want to share our home and fenced yard with your pooch. I (Diana) grew up on a farm with lots of different animals and dogs, and understand how each one has their own fantastic personality. Just let me know what they need, and I can do it. We’ve had puppies, older dogs, big dogs, small dogs, and everything in between! My tween/teen kids are kind and fun with animals, and will provide even more love and attention for your dog while they stay with us. Thank you for trusting us with your favorite furry buddy! We primarily work from home so we can spend a lot of quality time with your dog. We have a Newfoundland-poodle mix of our own, so our daily routine is already focused on dog care (feeding, walking, letting outside, etc). Just let me know what your dog needs! We also have goats, chickens, outdoor cats, and a couple of feral peacocks that hang around the property. It’s a pet paradise. 😊 We have a large fenced yard and a big goofball named Hoagie to keep your doggy company. We will love and care for your dog as if he/she was our own, because that’s what we would expect for Hoagie while we’re away. We have extra pet beds, food and water dishes, etc. Our yard is perfect for a game of fetch, a sunbathing session, playtime with Hoagie, or just a great sniff. We’re happy to have your dog sleep in one of our bedrooms, take them for walks, and give them all the love.
“We have only had Mollie since last December. She is a rescue and a sweet girl. We had the opportunity to go on a trip with friends. I wasn't sure how she would do with new folks since we had not had her with other dogs or people. Our get acquainted visit was the best experience for both of us. She was glad to see me when I picked her up, which was great! She had a good time playing with other dogs and running and smelling around their fenced property. About: I currently have a 7 year old cat who is like our child. I also grew up with a cat (that was with me for 20 years!). But my real love for cats started when I started working in animals hospitals, and I discovered that I have a knack for handling the more temperamental/fractious cats. Winning over a shy/scared cat is so rewarding (and takes patience). I am able to give medications if/when needed, but mostly I just want to cuddle them 💜

About: I grew up on a large family farm with all kinds of animals. We recently had two senior Shih Tzu's that each had their own special needs. After the loss, we are ready to open our home to new pups! We love all dogs and animals of all kinds. Our property is a large 3 acres. Our large backyard is fenced. We enjoy hiking and long walks. I walk each morning and evening and have the option to take your pet out for a walk or a play on the property in both fenced and unfenced areas. I have an older dog who is very arthritic so I am used to caring for the elderly animals as well. Pets in my home have their own room if needed. I have plenty of space for crates. I have a large gated deck and live on 10 acres on a quiet road. My own pets walk daily with me along my road which works well for easy elder dog walks as it is shady even in the summer. It also can provide great training ground as there is little traffic. For the high energy babies, we can play fetch or take to the trails nearby. I have always had rescue pitties so I am comfortable with big cuddly babies. I adopted a cattle dog pup who had clinical anxiety which has taught me how to care for highly intelligent, high energy dogs as well. Treats, love, and confidence makes for a happy dog!

“Amanda was very gracious towards our very naughty puppy. Apparently, some of the nervous behaviors that we don’t see at home came out with an unholy flourish at Amanda‘s home. But I appreciate the fact that Amanda gave us a full and honest report (which is helpful for us to gauge the areas he still needs significant training) and was very kind about the negatives. The most important thing, though, was that he settled down in the car almost immediately. Our dog is a very nervous dog, so if he has had a rough time at a dog sitter, we know right away because he whines and whimpers all the way home. After leaving Amanda‘s house, he winded for about 60 seconds and then went to sleep. Hallelujah! Thank you, Amanda, for the top quality care you have given to our very low quality puppy. I am especially grateful that Amanda was willing to take the puppy at the last minute, because my husband had a hospital procedure and I had completely forgotten about making arrangements for the dog. About: In addition to caring for my own pets—including one dog and two cats—I’ve spent years caring for pets for friends, family, and neighbors. My experience includes in-home pet sitting and drop-in visits for feedings, potty breaks, walks, and plenty of attention and playtime to keep pets happy and comfortable. I work from home full time, so I’m able to have your pets hang out with me, or drop in for feedings, potty breaks, walks and attention/play time to keep your fur babies happy while you’re gone. I have a double fenced yard for potty breaks, and have two dogs (cocker spaniel & small mixed Havanese/Shitsu - both female) and a yellow tabby to keep your fur baby company. If your doggie doesn’t like/do well with cats, we have plenty of space to keep them separated- just let me know in advance. Living in the mountains, we rarely let our dogs out unattended and would extend the same precaution to your animals (unless they prefer being outside). I’m also able to take them for walks to keep them happy & exercised while you’re gone.

About: I’ve always had a passion for animals and love spending time with them. My entire life I’ve always had dogs and cats. My first best friend was a cocker spaniel named bear that spent everyday with me. Any of my friends or family will tell you that I am obsessed with dogs and animals in general. Growing up all my neighbors always had me take care of their pets when they would go out of town because they could trust me and knew I’d enjoy doing so. I have a 3 year old white German Shepard puppy that loves to play all the time and she loves other dogs. About: Hello! I’ve been loving and caring for local pets for around 25 yrs. Some pets were young pups and kittens; some were older seniors. I specialize in petsitting at my clients homes. My longest pet sitting job was 3.5 weeks while the owners were in Italy. I have many referrals. I’ve taken care of miniature horses, Friesian horses, and a pig. (We have a lot of rural homes in Auburn area). I’m retired from a construction accounting job. We’re gladly at home most days! My shedule is flexible; if you have an emergency need for pet sitting, I’m your gal. I prefer to petsit at my client’s homes. The animals rather appreciate this. I like to meet the animal(s) before sitting so when I arrive, we have a connection. I give the animals plenty of one-on-one attention. This may include doggy massage to calm them and get to know them. Lots of walks if they like that. Potty Breaks every couple of hours to begin with, as they’re sometimes nervous or have stomach upsets. I’d like to know your favorite names for them, what your routines are, rituals, their favorite things to do. I’ve also stayed with animals after their surgeries to monitor when the owner has to work.

I take jobs based on when I have time available +Depending on the home environment of the animal I can play with, spend training time and just hang in a fenced in backyard. +I also love to walk dogs. +I'm comfortable just spending time in the home with animals. +I will clean litter boxes, feed and administer medication. I can crate animals if needed. +I absolutely love to hike with dogs that have more energy and have reasonable social training. +In my own home I board small dogs and cats that are happy to hang in a studio. +There is a park down the road where I walk dogs twice a day and take outside frequently on my property. +Walk duration depends on animal.

About: We absolutely love animals, and want to share our home and fenced yard with your pooch. We have extra pet beds, food and water dishes, etc. Our yard is perfect for a game of fetch, a sunbathing session, playtime with Hoagie, or just a great sniff. We’re happy to have your dog sleep in one of our bedrooms, take them for walks, and give them all the love.

I wasn't sure how she would do with new folks since we had not had her with other dogs or people. Our get acquainted visit was the best experience for both of us.
