“This was Kat's first time sitting for our kitten Peanut, and she exceeded our expectations across the board. Communication was excellent — she shared regular updates and sent us genuinely fun photos that we loved getting throughout the trip. When we hit an unexpected schedule change, Kat was completely accommodating and made it a non-issue. The house was just as clean as we left it. She followed everything we asked, from the litter box routine to stripping the bed before we got back. Most importantly, Peanut was visibly happy and well-adjusted when we returned — you can always tell when a sitter has actually engaged with your pet, and she clearly had. “Olivia took care of my sweet 16-year-old cat for a few days while I was out of town. It was my first time leaving him with a sitter since he was diagnosed with diabetes (and stage 2 kidney disease) and I was a bit nervous at first. But Olivia came by for a meet-and-greet and put me at ease with her obvious comfort with cats, and particularly her experience taking care of diabetic cats and injecting insulin. While I was away she sent thorough updates and it was clear that my cat was well taken care of, and that his insulin and pills were being administered as expected. After my trip, I came home to a happy cat and Olivia immediately arranged to come by and drop off the keys. I will definitely try to book Olivia again the next time I need a sitter for my special-needs cat.”

About: I’ve taken care of animals since I was a baby. My family had taken in squirrels, ducks and chickens as well as having 2 cats and 1 dog. I am currently a student and I am planning on working to earn money for college. I am only taking in person classes and only work limited hours at a Pilates studio. I have a fenced yard, and a large bay trail only a few blocks away. I have 2 cats that do not bother and 2 very friendly dog.

About: I'm a communications professional for 30 years now, so it comes natural for me to share with pet owners every milestone of any day they're apart from their pets and trusting me with their care. For 20 years, I've cared for my friend's dogs, cats, and chickens in the Bay Area just for the fun of it. Now I'd like to open my experience and hope it will lead to more travel when I retire in a few year. Also, I have a veterinarian friend on speed dial. I've never had to call in an emergency. But I could! I work from home most days. I write, so I sit at my desk and I don't move much. I love having a cat on the desk or a well-exercised dog in their bed waiting for my next move. I go downtown twice a week, but I have a retired neighbor who volunteers at Animal Control and the SF Zoo who is nuts about dog-walking to fill-in for noontime walks. I like to treat all pets like they're my own, with a little extra in an auntie kind of way. I am an expert Kong-stuffer and a tug of war extremist, with a nice car that I don't mind getting hairy or muddy. Poo and litter are not things I shy away from. I love the smell of pet feet.

I was nervous having someone else than family watching the dog and after having my husband seeing the place and meeting Jay we both felt confident she would be great at watching our furry child.
