Both are known to struggle with other dogs, including each other. I was honestly preparing for this to simply be a safe, calm stay...what we got was something truly incredible. From the very beginning, Mark asked all the right questions about behavior, needs, routines and safety. It was clear he understood these were not "easy" dogs and approach their care with thoughtfulness, patience and professionalism. About: I have experience with dogs and cats, young and old, easy and "difficult". I am very adept at walking and caring for reactive dogs who can have a hard time with other dogs and/or humans, and do my best to avoid any situations that can trigger reactive behaviors. I'm also happy to help keep up any training routines, I'm pretty proficient in general dog training, but I know it always comes down to the individual dogs for what works best. I often have people remark about their pets who usually don't warm up to new people immediately taking a liking to me! About: I've had large dogs since 1997. Currently I have 2 amazing dogs. A 3 legged great burnese, and a 1.2yr old burnese Mt. Dog. They are sweet and wonderful dogs with great manners and are super dog friendly. I also have 2 cats. Rick and Morty. They are a pair. Also very sweet and affectionate once they know you. They are indoor/outdoor 24/7 but avoid dogs. The love of my furry friends reflects who I am. I have 5 acres. This allows my dogs to mostly roam free as they stay close to home. It gives other dogs the opportunity to have a place to run around and play with other good dogs. There are also multiple leads amongst the property, as well as a gated and covered outside area if your pet isn't used to either of those situations. I spend almost all of my days working from home. So other than the occasional errand, I'm home. Otherwise, I exist for you and yours. My pets have water and food at all times. It's under a covered area so they are able to stay in the shade if they like. Otherwise my dogs are free to roam as they generally stay on the property. My property is not fenced. However with this undertaking dogs can be placed in the covered area when needed. They can be leaded if that's what you want. As well they are welcome in the house at any time. Your pets are free to relax anywhere they like. My dogs are very sweet and friendly. My 3 legged dog is not one to get to excited as he only has 3 legs. For the right dogs, my property is a paradise.

About: Hi, I’m Virgo (formerly Jeremy)! I’ve been dog sitting my friends’ dogs for about 10yrs, and working for a dog trainer for about 2yrs. (My parents tell me I’ve loved dogs my whole life, but I can only partly confirm.) A few things I like about dog sitting is discovering their personalities and learning how to interprete and anticipate their needs. I’m not intimidated by high-energy/high-intelligence dogs either! I also have two large cat cages in my home where each of my cats sleep, but if needed, they can sleep in the same cage and the other one can be used to provide your pet some privacy, with their own food and water dishes. I have many many many interactive cat toys so even while i'm working, they can play with the toys that are attached to my desk and walls, along with scratching posts.

About: Since I was old enough to pull myself up by the hindquarters of the family dog, I have shared a special connection with animals. Well versed in the needs of our furry friends, no pet is too much for my care. Experienced in special need care for animals - including but not limited to insulin administration. I also have formal training as an assistant vet tech and have volunteered at the ASPCA for years. Since I am currently self-employed with reliable transportation, my schedule is extremely flexible. I have two dogs and two cats that I care for daily, but they are low maintenance and do not require much time. Boarding will be done on 5.5 acres in Freshwater, set back in the woods with plenty of land for your fur-baby to roam free. We have gated, open top areas as well as a temperature controlled garage set up if your pet needs isolation or time away from the other animals. When walking, during drop-in visits, or on overnight stays in your home, I will adhere to all requests and ensure your furbaby enjoys themselves in your absence!

About: I own a 7 acre property that is a short drive up Fickle Hill Rd in Arcata! It includes a private trail with access to the community forest and a very large fenced in yard. I have a 1 year old female German Shepherd (Sabine) who is very well trained and LOVES to play with other dogs. I’ve been working with animals my entire life but started officially dog sitting and walking about 10 years ago! I’ve worked with dogs of all sizes and personalities and feel comfortable and confident in my care abilities. Locally I have done in home care both long term and short term. Now that I have this large property I would like to do more of a doggy day care! I am capable of providing training, grooming, as well as daily exercise and enrichment activities! I am free Monday - Thursday every week as I work from home as a ceramic artist. On the weekends (Friday - Sunday) I work as a waitress. I offer care from my home where I have a very large fenced in yard with plenty of space to run around and enjoy the outdoors. As well as a large dog friendly home for those rainy days. All plants and trees on the property are dog safe! I also have a private trail that is connected to the community forest trails where I take Sabine (my dog) for daily walks. Sabine also loves the beach so we do take weekly trips out to the dunes in Samoa! I’m a dog lover and feel that I am very attuned to understanding the way they communicate. About: I’m a Lauren Wendt’s wife and will be available to work with her clients when she is away for field work. Her clients can expect the same level of care and comfort with me. I am only available to sub for her. I mostly work from home, and when covering for Lauren I will be available all day, except during times when I can coaching at the university (Monday evenings and Saturday afternoons). Our home is very large, with multiple rooms and kennels to give dogs private safe spaces as well as communal time. We also have. Very large fenced yard, and dogs will be supervised in the yard.
About: I have always been an animal lover. Since my teenage years we had dogs and cats in the house. Over the last 17 years I have lived with and cared for 2 dogs and two cats. Sadly 3 of them have passed on at this point, and It's just myself and my 12 yr old husky mix Suki now. I am only employed on a very part time basis, so I have a fairly open and flexible schedule for dog walking, home visits and boarding on most weekdays, and some weekends. I have a fenced back yard perfect for pets to hang out in, and there is also a covered area in the back yard if the weather is rainy. About: I've cared for my friend's corgi and my sister's boss's Doberman pintcher. I don't have a ton of other experience with dogs and their care, however I am comfortable and grew with many family friend's dog(s). I can give them walks and pick up their poop, play time, feedings, giving pills (if needed), and lots and lots of attention. I can give them cuddles, company, and someone who they feel comfortable with. I am someone who you and your dog(s)can trust. I'm currently looking for local work so I can care for your per daily. I can do mornings, noon, afternoon and evenings. On Saturday from 11:30 am to 3:30 pm, I am committed to volunteer work. That will be the only time I am not available, unless there is an emergency. I can take your dog(s) for walks and pick up their poop as well as providing them with their scheduled feeding and give pills, if necessary. I will provide them play time and company or cuddles. Cats will get similar care, except for walks unless they are harness and leash trained.

I am very good at matching the energy level of any animal and I have a special passion for exotic animals (but of course I love dogs and cats too!). I am experienced in giving medication and I do not shy away from cleaning up any and all messes that they may make. I am currently a student at Cal Poly Humboldt and I have a lot of breaks in my class schedule. For house sitting, I would only be out of the house for 2-4 hours at a time for classes on weekdays and would be able to stay all day on weekends. My schedule is also perfect for drop ins and potty breaks. I feel that I am a very easy person to work with and I will follow any and all guidelines or rules that you present to me. I will also help with house cleaning if you would like that, in addition to cleaning up after your pet(s).
About: Animals have always brought me a lot of joy. I grew up with and have taken care of dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, birds, horses, reptiles, and amphibians, so I am well acquainted with many types of creatures! So unfortunately, I cannot board any pets at my home. I have a remote job, so am flexible with home stays, walks, feeding schedules, and anything else to keep your friend happy. I always first consider the pets' and my safety. In my own home, I have spent the last 4 years helping my cat overcome her traumatic past through patience and routine. I give her lots of treats and mental stimulation, such as finding new items for her to bat around and sit on. We also have chickens, which have a fully fenced backyard so they can roam. I also love spoiling them with watermelon, apples, and mealworms!

About: I have experience working at a vet office, and worked dogsitting overnights and drop ins throughout my college career. About: I have always loved working around pets. I used to work at the pets hotel doggie day camp in Pet Smart. Having a dog of my own, I know what it takes to properly care for them , clean up after them, and take them outside when needed. What sets me apart is I would go the extra mile if needed of course to really ensure that the dogs I am taking care feel comfortable around me and they are excited when I come to the door to take them out for a walk. I am completely available during the week and weekend, full unbridled availability. walking pets would be great for my exercise along with the physical health of the dog of course (or cat). I had a cat and a dog that I regularly care for daily, I have a set time for feeding the dog and cat at 5PM every day, and of course breakfast at 8 AM before that, and I would make sure to have my dog go out back when needed and to clean up after him, and we also have his usually vet appointments as well. For my cat, we fed him three times a day like my dog and clean his litter box and refill it twice a day.
