“I left my 5 year old maltipoo for a 4 night stay with Clairece and I cannot say enough about her, from her *Terrific, prompt communications, to her *Friendly, kind approach, to her *Excellent, detailed check-ins throughout the day, which she initiated; complete with pictures and updates with several bery happy looking walks and even couch time. I especially appreciated *How much Clairece cared and loved on my pup! It was 4th of July weekend, so I anticipated my pup to be nervous. Chauncey can already be a bit fidgity and clingy to his person. No problems though! He obviously fell for Clairece😍, as every photo showed a big grin across his face and that told the whole story! Also, when Chauncey wasnt really eating his food because of separation from me, Clairece quickly pivoted to giving him fresh food with my approval. I could not have been happier with this whole experience. Will 100% use Clairece's services again! Im sure Chauncey cant wait to go back!”

About: I’m a proud toy poodle mom of two, so caring for small dogs is part of my everyday life. Dogs are very special to me, especially as a deaf person—I rely on body language and visual awareness, which makes me extremely observant and attentive to a dog’s needs, behavior, and safety. What sets me apart is my patience, calm energy, and strong understanding of how dogs communicate without words. I’m especially comfortable with small breeds, shy dogs, and dogs who need gentle care. About: I've taken care of dogs for family, friends, and neighbors for 4 years now. I have some experience grooming others' dogs, however mostly my own. They still loved the way their buddy came out and continue to come to me! I enjoy doing this job so I decided to make it more public. Hope I can help many other people and their babies even more! I'm currently working part-time, so my schedule is open and flexible. I don't like to leave pets alone for too long, so for no more than 4 hours. Whether it's just to give them a potty break or to give them the attention they deserve. I have a fenced yard and live in a community with a dog park. How I take care of your babies is up to you. I understand every dog is different and so if their owner! So just let me know what you do for them and I will integrate it into their daily schedule. During the summer, the dogs will be kept inside an air conditioned home. Preferably when no one is home then they will be in a crate, however if they are guaranteed not to chew on personal items or pee inside, then they can roam inside freely. During winter, dogs can be kept outside, but it really depends on the owner's preferences.

About: I worked as a professional dog walker and sitter in San Francisco in 2019. As a huge dog lover, this was a dream come true! I worked for a local company, Citizen Hound, and fell in love with every aspect of the job (and every pup!). I was responsible for two packs of 6-8 dogs who I would pick up/drop off and take for one hour walks every day. Typically these walks would be off leash, at the beach or a park, so I went through extensive training to receive my walking permit. Having grown up with dogs of my own, I understand that dogs are owner's babies, making sure to treat each dog as if they were my own! I sat many of the dogs in my packs as well as other dogs in the company that year. I have been volunteering at animal shelters for the past 7 years and therefore have experience walking a variety of dogs. I have sat blind and sick dogs, so I am comfortable with medications as well as other special needs (eye drops, IBS, separation anxiety, etc). When sitting, I love to take dogs on hikes or even to the dog park, with owners permission, to make sure they are getting exercise. I always update owners frequently and send lot of pictures! I miss all of the dogs from my packs and am looking to create new connections with both dogs and owners here in Sacramento. I would prefer to have regular clients, however I am also open to one time walks/sits. “I cannot emphasize enough how great Jeannine was. My girlfriend and I left our pup with her for what was supposed to only be a one day while we toured the Sequoia National forest. But after letting her know we had a vehicle emergency, she offered to look after our dog for the night and even a whole second day and night while we stayed at a hotel and got a rental car sorted out. She kept us updated with plenty of pictures as well, while also making sure Ryder got plenty of exercise, food and sleep. She is an excellent sitter and I would rebook her anytime!”

I often love to learn about animal behavior, watching The Dog Whisperer and Jackson Galaxy's show about cat behavior. I love all dogs and cats because they’re so sweet and caring and give unconditional love.
