Without asking, Sara took the initiative sending updates and images of Kona throughout her stay. Sara quickly replied to my inquiries before and during Kona's stay. One of the reasons why I initially chose Sara, was the experience she listed as working in a veterinary's office and the fact that she put together a very thorough bio describing her background in working with animals. I was initially considering a kennel in Arroyo Grande but was concerned that being in a large kennel environment would be hard on a senior dog like my Kona. With Sara's veterinary experience, she felt that a quieter home environment would be easier on a senior dog, without me bringing up this concern of mine. If you are looking for good quality care for your pet, I highly recommend Sara! Kona will be returning soon to Sara's home when I travel out of state.”

“Anne is brand new to Rover, but she performed as if she has been doing it for 10 years. I was EXTREMELY pleased with her care of our Basset Hound in her home while we were away. Her home is fully secure and provides a very safe environment for a dog out of it's normal space. She walked Chester through her neighborhood and provided him plenty of opportunity for exercise as well as sent me numerous photos throughout his stay with her. Anne is pleasant, mature, and shows great judgement. Chester came home happy and content and is looking forward to the next time I need a sitter so he can go back and visit with her! Our dog is a 15 year old lab that is mostly blind, mostly deaf and has a few other “old lady” problems. Despite all this Isabelle agreed to watch Jayden for a few hours. Isabelle’s communication before and during Jayden’s stay was exceptional as she kept us updated on how Jayden was doing and sent a few pics as well. Isabelle was also very flexible when we asked if we could drop Jayden off earlier than originally planned. “All I can say is WOW! This was my first time using Rover and it was absolutely incredible. I expect this was a rare Rover experience - because we seriously could not have asked for more. My girlfriend and I were in town for a weekend getaway and wanted to check out some non dog-friendly wineries during the afternoon/evening on a Saturday. We saw Amanda's listing and crossed our fingers with our last minute Friday night booking. Amanda responded within the hour letting us know she would be happy to watch over him for the day. Her communication was professional and her availability flexible. Let me tell you... Amanda's place is an absolute wonderland for an adventure dog. She has a ton of property for your dog to run around on ... and animals galore! Our husky (Myth) got to meet horses, donkeys, ostriches, cats, chickens ... and more! This was an amazing experience for him (as a city dog that only gets to play with other dogs at the dog park). I can't imagine another scenario where he would have got to interact and play with such a diverse array of animals. Amanda clearly knows how to handle animals as well. She briefed us on her background training and handling all sorts of different animals and then backed it up with hourly videos showing us a new trick she had taught Myth - or a fun picture/video of Myth playing with one of her other animals (shoutout to her new dog Anakin who is an absolute good boy and new best friend of Myth's). She even asked us if it was okay to take Myth to the dog park. Her communication during Myth's stay helped us relax while out and about. She is clearly an animal lover to the core. If I'm being honest I'm pretty sure Myth would have been happy to stay on Amanda's ranch forever. 10/10 experience ... and her rate is super reasonable for the amazing experience your dog is going to get under her care. I have experience with dogs of all ages, from helping care for puppies from the time they’re born to senior dogs up to 15 years old. I recently graduated college with a degree in biology and a minor in chemistry, but while I was away I pet and house sat for several families and built great relationships with both the pets and their parents. Many of my clients had my personal number and would reach out whenever they needed help. I’m happy to provide references if you’d like! House Sitting: I am currently accepting house-sitting clients. I work full-time as a dental assistant Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, but I can still provide morning feedings, a midday potty break and walk during my lunch hour, and evening care. From Friday through Sunday, I am available full-time and can provide care throughout the day to best match your pet’s routine and needs. Drop-In Visits: I am currently accepting drop-in visit clients. During the week, I am available for visits before 7:30 AM, between 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM during my lunch break, and anytime after 5:00 PM. On weekends, I am available anytime. Dog Walking: I am available for dog walks anytime Friday through Sunday. Monday through Thursday, I am available for walks between 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM during my lunch break, as well as in the evenings anytime after 5. I understand how important it is to trust someone with both your pets and your home. I treat every home with the same respect and care that I would expect for my own. I am CPR and First Aid certified, reliable, and attentive to each pet’s individual needs.

She walked Chester through her neighborhood and provided him plenty of opportunity for exercise as well as sent me numerous photos throughout his stay with her.
