About: I owned two cats — a girl and a boy, although very briefly when I was 13 and it lasted a year. I loved how regal they were, and how trusting, kind, soft they were once you got to know them. At first, they were really timid beings that would run from everyone in my family, with the one and only exception being when they heard their metal food bowls clank down full. It took them about two weeks of analyzing our schedules to slowly open themselves up to us and allow us to be around them, pet them, show them love. I would give them small sniff tests here and there to test their readiness level, and they became acclimated to me quicker than anyone else for that reason. Our family had to give them back after one year because the family who gave them to us moved back here from out of state and wanted to have their cats back. Aside from owning cats, I started being around cats from when I was 10 until I turned 15 because I had friends that owned cats — an older cat (21 years old) and a kitten (8 months when I first met her). I would take care of those two cats whenever I would sleep over at their place, feed them and give them water periodically. I love being around cats!

About: Being around dogs since childhood, I'm very sensitive to their needs. As a prior dog owner myself, I've dealt with several situations, in working with dogs during rehab, caring for a dog with special needs and adapting to senior care. I have also taken care of dogs for friends and coworkers. For the time being, my services come as a package deal. Please only book if your dog is for certain comfortable with toddlers. My child has been exposed to different dogs, including larger dogs such as a lab, and he knows to be respectful and give them their space. There will be no tail pulling, taunting or any other form of bullying permitted while we are with your pet, as we are to be gentle with all animals. For shorter drop-ins or walks I can have my child secured in a hiking backpack. Currently, I/we are best available for weekend sits, though weekend or evening walks and check-ins are also available. We are also available for longer stays if your pet is used to you being at work during the week. We'd love the opportunity to get puppy love when when possible. First and foremost, I understand that every pet is different, with unique needs, temperaments and personalities. Some are just fine while their owner is away, while others may display anxious behavior during this time. It is my goal that no matter what they experience, that they be as comfortable as possible. Of course I would be mindful of what your pets are and are not allowed... in my own experience, I was never one to give my dog human treats unless it was a very special occasion, so I can be respectful and understanding of any rules specific to your preference for your dog(s). I am happy to take them outside, drive them to a nearby park if that is something you are comfortable with, I think communication when it comes to your loved one is key.

About: Grew up in New Mexico been taking care of animals my whole life, mom was a French bull dog breeder as well. I’ve been dog sitting now for two years. About: My senior dog was my very best friend and companion. I adopted him when my cousin wasn't able to care for him anymore. He passed away last May at the age of 14 after battling ongoing diseases/old age. We walked every day and he also had a big fenced garden to play in. About: In total I’ve had 5 dogs in my lifetime, dating far back to when I was a baby! Dogs of many sizes and kinds of dogs from small to big, a labrador rottweiler mix, bichon frise and the rest being rat terriers. So from about the time I was born until I was 13 (I am now 20), I owned 5 dogs :). I loved being able to walk my dogs, taking them to parks, just being in their company really. I look after my friends’ dogs on occasion as well as my relative’s when they’re busy and decided that I would love to make it into a career. I don’t have a job, and I’m a student at Southwestern, I was full time last semester but the semester ended just last week. I will be fully free for the next two weeks with the exception of Friday’s from 6pm-11pm (can be negotiated if need be!). I’m open every week day and every day of weekend, willing to work anywhere from 8am until about 5pm. I will be taking one class in the summer, ballet (dance), that begins June 15th, ends August 8th and runs Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:25am to 11:25 AM for all three days. I would not be allowed to host any pet in my house as we have two babies in the house and we’re not fully aware of their allergies yet, however, it would be best for me to do drop ins or house sitting sessions for that reason. I think doing a meet and greet beforehand would be amazing so that we could have a chance to meet each other first and maybe introduce me to your pet to see if I could be a good match to sit for them instead of blindly throwing me with them!

About: Hi my name is Alex I’m a secretary but I’m starting a Medical program this August I’m currently living in San Diego a few things about myself is that I’ve lived with animals most of my life, mostly dogs a couple of cats almost all came from shelters or rescues a few we picked up from the streets. Some of the dogs that I’ve adopted from the shelter or rescues were older around 5-6 years old. I have taken care of dogs who have needed to take daily medication and some that are skittish around people. I have also taken care of pregnant dogs and newborn puppies What I’ve come to learn from being around all these animals is that with enough patience and care there is no animal that can’t be loved. I’m currently working as a remote secretary which allows me to manage my own hours I have a car so travel is easy to arrange I usually don’t have any work on the weekend. About: Ive had pets since I was little. Dogs & cats. Ive dog sit for friends and family, made sure it was a home away from home. Have trained puppies and accommodated for senior dogs as well seeing they get arthritis and start losing senses. I am a SAHM. My kids are in school the first half of the day. About: My name is Tara, and I am a nurse by day. I have two cats that are my children, and am always looking to love on other fur babies. I am available to walk dogs, do drop in visits, house-sit animals in a client's home, and administer medications. I can clean after pets and care for puppies and kittens as well. About: Being a pet parent myself, I get that leaving them behind while still wanting to enjoy your time can be an internal conflict. Trust I will be taking all the photos and videos needed or wanted and communicating throughout the stay and outside of it to make sure you are able to enjoy your time away. About: I have grown up around dogs my entire life and genuinely love being around animals. My dog, Bearra, a Lab and German Shepherd mix, recently passed away after living an amazing 15.5 years. She was such a huge part of my life and taught me how important patience, love, exercise, and attentive care are for pets at every stage of life. As a teacher on summer break, I’m looking forward to spending more time outside doing something I truly enjoy, caring for and spending time with dogs. I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else, and I would love the opportunity to provide dependable, caring, and attentive service for both you and your dog. I am a teacher on summer break, so I currently have a very flexible schedule with my days, evenings, and weekends available for walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting.
