About: I have been caring for dogs since I was a kid. I started volunteering at the San Diego Humane Society in 2014 as a medical kennel assistant and there I learned how to care for both cats and dogs after their spay and neuter surgery. I then started working for Helen Woodward animal hospital as a vet assistant and did various things like draw blood, give vaccines, assist the vet in various procedures and much more. Just recently I worked with the San Diego Humane Society as a foster specialist and worked a long side many pets of all kinds. I walked many, interacted with many and learned various cues of body language. Im currently working full time and my availability at this moment is open weekdays after 6 and before 9am and weekends are pretty open. About: Hello! I'm Charlie I've been working for over 12 years taking care of children and on occasion, pets. I'm hoping to add more animals to my life as I am going through nursing school, the stress relief and excuse to get outside that furry friends offer is immeasurable! I try and follow a furry friend's routine as closely as possible and if I can't on a day, I make sure that they always get enough potty breaks and adjust walks accordingly. I do tend to take the longest walks in the AM (30-45 min) + before bed (30-1 hr) with shorter 15-30 min "potty" walks during the day . I take into account their needs (feeding/medication/b&b evacuation times) & normal excursion times and my schedule and plan the week out in advance. Written instructions help me with daily tasks or pet personality quirks if they are more set in their ways. I'm happy to water plants, gather mail, take out trash and am comfortable communicating with vendors (repairment, pest control etc) if they need to visit when you are away. I treat the home better than I treat my own and aim to maintain (or exceed) the level of cleanliness that existed when I arrived. I'm not shy when it comes to vacuuming, laundering linens & pet bedding as needed while I am staying.

About: I love all animals even though some of them you can only admire from afar. At a young age there were birds, fishes and reptiles in my home. I shared care for hamsters and cats. About eight years ago I adopted my current dog, Nellie. She’s a 19 years old with a puppy spirit so I’m pretty good with aging and playful dogs. I’ve taken care of friends and families dogs and cats. I am experienced caring for special needs cats as I kept her comfortable as long as possible and I’m familiar with administering meds and other sick fur baby needs. I work and live centrally in Talmadge and near Adams Ave and can be available within 15 mins drive to most residences in metro San Diego. Your furry friend will not be alone as my husband works from home, but I would like to let any future clients know this information*** Once a week I may go out on a date with my husband, so I really appreciate it when pets are okay by themselves for 2-3 hours. I am currently not boarding dogs for more than 7 days. I have a fenced front yard now! I walk pets regularly and will also play fetch in front yard. If you prefer that I don’t walk them, please let me know. It would also be helpful to know if your pet lunges after things during walks.
