He is a rescue dog who has experienced trauma, and this was the very first time I had left him with someone since adopting him two years ago. From the moment I dropped him off, she understood exactly what he needed. Rather than pushing interaction, she gave Atlas the space and time to come to her on his own terms while he adjusted to a new environment. That patience and understanding meant so much to me. Throughout his stay, she sent frequent updates and pictures, which gave me tremendous peace of mind. She was always quick to respond whenever I reached out and made sure all of my instructions were followed carefully. If anything wasn’t clear, she asked questions rather than making assumptions. Most importantly, she treated Atlas like family. He received plenty of snuggles, attention, and playtime; including one of his favorite activities, fetch. It was obvious that she genuinely cared about his comfort and happiness. She went above and beyond to make both Atlas and me feel comfortable, and I am so grateful for the care she provided. The biggest sign of how well she cared for him came when I picked him up. Atlas was incredibly excited to see me, but after greeting me he ran back over to her for one last snuggle before we left. About: I've owned pets my whole life and spent my childhood living on a ranch with just about every farm animal you can name. Now, as an adult living a more suburban lifestyle, I'm happy to provide loving care for your dog and/or cat in a home-based, high attention environment. As a dog mom myself, I know how difficult it is to trust a stranger with your fur child and the importance of continuing the love and care your pet receives at home. I'm available for boarding on Friday, Saturday, and Sundays. My husband and I work mostly remote, so your fur baby will receive plenty of attention and companionship from both ourselves and our mini dachshund, Charlie! We have a small fenced-in backyard with concrete and turf for potty breaks. Overnight fur guests will have both indoor and outdoor access and can be crated in the downstairs living room during nighttime sleep hours. Blankets, toys, and preferred treats are welcome to help provide your pet with a sense of home.
