About: First things first- I’ve never been a cat owner. But due to moving a lot as a teenager, I’ve spent years in a household where my adult roommate had two cats (with very dichotomous personalities, at that). The boy was amiable, and eager for attention. The girl preferred to approach rather than be approached, and understandably feisty when someone didn’t know that. I loved those cats so much before I had to move again (about two years later), giving them food and water and cuddles alongside my mother and sister when our roommate went on longer trips. It was through living there that I especially learned to care for two pets that were of the same species, and yet so different in terms of how they received affection and respect.
