I confess, I’m also the lady that will remember your dog’s name, age and origins, but perhaps not always your name. Although I have the confidence and experience to befriend your big dogs, that shouldn’t suggest that I don’t love our smaller friends, as well. Big and small, I love them all❣️ I’ve been responsible for animals most of my life. Chiefly, I’ve had the privilege to care and own big dogs. Growing up, we had a Sheppard-Mastiff mix, and that’s when my love for big dogs began. In our house, we had a macaw, cockatoo, kākāriki, ring-necked parakeet, and a cockatiel, tropical/ saltwater fish, dogs, and cats. I continue to be a proud breed ambassador and have owned 4 Rottweilers over the years. I’ve been gainfully employed as a civil servant for 25 years. After my last Rottweiler passed away, I wanted to care for a dog again, but haven’t adopted quite yet. I enjoy hiking, outdoor activities, walking and traveling, and of course dogs! I’ve had the privilege to care for our misunderstood and sometimes reactive dog friends, as well. All dogs deserve love. I follow all your instructions for feeding, medication, routines, and house rules. I keep things tidy, secure doors and windows, and ensure your pet stays safe and comfortable in their familiar environment. I'm happy to bring in mail, water plants, or adjust lighting to give your home a lived-in feel while you're away. Communication is key, so I provide regular updates and am always available if questions come up. My goal is to make the transition seamless for both you and your pet.
About: I love taking dogs for walks around the neighborhood. Have an adventurous dog (or dogs) with a lot of energy? Perhaps I can take your dog on a nearby hike. (I’ve even taken a friend and her dog on a kayaking excursion!) I’ve been walking family dogs since I was young, including Golden Retrievers, Cockapoos, and Terriers. I have befriended several friends’ Pitbulls and Rottweilers. My husband and I have rescued an older cat who didn’t like anyone, but he has since really warmed up to us. (It’s because my cat doesn’t feel like being an Adventure Cat that’s causing me to look for neighborhood dogs who I can get to know and spend some time with.) I always bring doggy essentials, including doggy bags, water bowl, and a large bottle of water. If you want me to bring my own leash I can. If you want me to bring extra toys -like tennis balls - I can. Whatever your pet(s) needs or prefers. I’m happy to take photos during the walk and to follow whatever instructions you provide to promote the health of your dog(s). I currently work 5 days a week from 10:00am to 7:00pm. I can provide services either before or after work (on work days) or anytime on my days off. I will be splitting my time between Napa and Santa Rosa, so I prefer to book services in advance to ensure I am available at the time and place you need. All pets are family. I will treat your dog with love, respect, patience, friendship, care, and safety. I’m happy to follow your personalized instructions to meet your pet’s unique needs.

About: My family has always had pets my whole life, including a dog for 14 years and 3 cats. I was always dealt the task of taking care of them so I am very familiar with pet sitting. I was very good/reliable so this job seemed like a natural choice for me. I am currently working at a gym, but only 17 hours a week so this will be more of my main priority. Other than the part time job I am free! I have a fenced yard with a lot of room to play, as well as a safe and comfortable neighborhood street for walks.
