About: We absolutely love animals, and want to share our home and fenced yard with your pooch. We understand what it’s like to leave your dog with someone else while you’re away; we will treat your dog like a member of our family. I (Diana) grew up on a farm with lots of different animals and dogs, and understand how each one has their own fantastic personality. Just let me know what they need, and I can do it. We’ve had puppies, older dogs, big dogs, small dogs, and everything in between! My tween/teen kids are kind and fun with animals, and will provide even more love and attention for your dog while they stay with us. Thank you for trusting us with your favorite furry buddy! We primarily work from home so we can spend a lot of quality time with your dog. We have a Newfoundland-poodle mix of our own, so our daily routine is already focused on dog care (feeding, walking, letting outside, etc). Just let me know what your dog needs! We also have goats, chickens, outdoor cats, and a couple of feral peacocks that hang around the property. It’s a pet paradise. 😊 We have a large fenced yard and a big goofball named Hoagie to keep your doggy company. We will love and care for your dog as if he/she was our own, because that’s what we would expect for Hoagie while we’re away. We have extra pet beds, food and water dishes, etc. Our yard is perfect for a game of fetch, a sunbathing session, playtime with Hoagie, or just a great sniff. We’re happy to have your dog sleep in one of our bedrooms, take them for walks, and give them all the love.

This was my first time leaving Rocky due to a last minute family emergency and it was a great success :) we came by for a meet and greet prior to drop off and it felt great to be so confident Rocky would be in great hands. He had so much fun, lots of activities and play time. Tasha was communicative and sent lots of adorable pictures and videos. Rocky is not great with recall so Tasha’s husband made a zip line so Rocky could easily explore as much of their property as possible! They really went above and beyond in so many ways. Thank you so much will definitely reach out to Tasha again if Rocky needs a sitter in the area!”

I run a 501(c)(3) dog rescue, regularly transport dogs, care for puppies, seniors, and special-needs dogs, administer medications, work on basic training, leash manners, and provide structured, loving care tailored to each pet’s needs. I'm recently retired from a long career as a professional equestrian and horse trainer, and I'm excited to begin this journey of offering pet care services to the community! I have experience with all types and ages of pets ... from very young to very senior. I have experience administering medications, giving injections, and basic first aid. My lifestyle is active, and I'm happy to provide whatever exercise that your pet needs, whether that is a long trail hike, or simply walks around the neighborhood. And lots of love and snuggles of course :) I also have extensive horse experience, and limited experience with other livestock, and I'm happy to provide services for those animals as well. I currently work from home and have an extremely flexible schedule, which allows me to work around whatever your pet care needs are. I have a reliable 4 wheel drive vehicle, so I can get to some of the further out Nevada County destinations no problem. I pride myself on being punctual, organized and reliable, and you can rest assured that your pet(s) and home will receive attentive and loving care. I am happy to take care of any additional tasks that you might need around your home while you're away (checking mail, taking out trash, watering plants/garden, etc. )
