About: I have taken care of cats since I was about 10 years old. I had two cats at the time and I was in charge of feeding and changing their litter at least twice a day. Once I lived on my own I got my own cat, Felix, then a few years later another cat, Grizwold. Having a nice clean area for the cats has always been a priority for me. About: I have 8+ years dog-sitting experience with dogs of many different sizes and temperaments. Personally I have a 85 pound German Shepherd mix, Turbo, a 40 pound labradoodle, Maple, and an 80 pound Rottie/GSD mix named Tater. I thoroughly enjoy playing with them everyday and have learned many training techniques from raising them. I have a great deal of experience caring for a highly allergic and anxious dog. I understand the helplessness that can often come with trying to find a treatment that works. If your dog has allergies/skin issues, or any other special needs, I'm more than happy to help. Rest assured your dog will be given the love and attention they need to feel comfortable in my home. We do have 1 cat (named Sesame) who would prefer to be left alone. If your dog is very reactive around cats this will not be a good fit. I am a stay- at- home mom and my husband works from home, so we can offer a great amount of flexibility with drop-off and pick-up times. Your dog will be supervised 24/7 when in my care. I have a large (2.3 acre), fully-fenced backyard for optimal play! I have three friendly dogs who would love to show your dog all the best sniff spots. We also love going on walks, playing fetch, taking naps, and playing "find it." I've taken a dog CPR class to better understand the warning signs of a dog in distress, and what actions to take in an emergency. About: Hello! My name is Fidencio, (my family calls me John, and you can too). I am 32 years old and have a long history of caring for dogs in my family. In 2005, my Father rescued a puppy from war torn Iraq. He fell in love with Target, our Iraqi dog, while he was deployed there. I remember my dad calling my mom, begging her to please find a way to get Target home, to California, over 7000 miles away. We went to work as a family finding any possible way to get our small puppy back home. Long story short, because we love animals, we got Target shipped to LAX. Target was what we considered an animal refugee. I remember going on the drive to LAX as a 5th grader to go pick up Target, when I first saw him he was scared, being shipped across the globe and being separated from his owner on the journey. But as soon as we got in the car we broke the crate open, we instantly all fell in love. Dedication to protecting a caring for animals is something that runs deep for me. When house sitting in a client’s home, I focus on keeping the pet’s care exactly how they are used to it. Staying in the pet’s familiar environment often helps them feel more relaxed while their owner is away. I pay close attention to each pet’s behavior and body language to make sure they are comfortable and happy. If a dog is more energetic, I make sure they get enough activity. If they are older or more relaxed, I adjust the care to be calm and patient. Communication is very important to me while caring for pets. About: I've lived with dogs my whole life growing up around multiple and even aiding in the birth of a 12 puppy litter into my own family. Which some of those puppies have stayed with us ever since. As well as caring for older dogs as they get into their later years and pass on. I love all kinds of pets either way, from giant wolf dogs my grandfather used to have- to our very own English and French bulldogs that need just as much care as they give in love! I have not has as much experience with cats, but I'm always willing to spend some time with them. Any pet is like part of the family, and they always deserve that love! I currently have a part time job with a changing schedule- however if I am booked at least 2 weeks in advance, I can make sure that I have certain days and times available. A heads up is all I need! I care for pets in others homes just as they would. About: Being the mother of my own fur-child in the past, I know how much your pets mean to your family. “Amanada is AMAZING!! I could write a whole essay on how great and loving this family is, but for the sake of the review, I'll keep it short! One of our pups ruptured her CCL a week before our trip, and this was one of those trips that wasn't going to be cancelled or moved. Amanda was able to easily accommodate the updated meds and keep us updated on how Emma seemed to be doing with her injury. Her background as a vet tech helped put our minds at ease and Emma and Otto were in some of the most capable hands during our trip. Our whole family loved the photos and videos provided and Emma and Otto had a blast and made themselves totally comfortable with Amanda and her sweet family.
