Katherine took all the necessary steps to get me and my fiance comfortable with leaving our dog with her. She recommended a meet and greet initially. After that went without any issues we booked her for 2 nights. We received messages and photos of our dog throughout the day. “We have a long history of pet sitters and house sitters, both in and out of the Rover family. We've been happy with almost all of them. But until Katherine, we've never had that "ahh we found the perfect one" look pass between my husband and myself. You are inviting a person to enter your most private space (she stays at our home), and giving them your precious family member who can't talk to us to tell us how things are going. It's a nerve-racking thing, at least for me. There are many reviews of Katherine, so I won't go into the same details. I'm glad I hadn't read all of them, because I was surprised this last time with the gifts she left--same as the others described. I'll just say she has a competence about her combined with a huge heart and a lot of patience. Our rescue dog is very shy, still traumatized from early abuse, and doesn't make it easy for anyone to care for her besides us. Katherine is calm and knowledgeable. She acts like she has nothing better to do all day than wait for our dog to approach her on her own time. About: I’m a dog mom of two chihuahuas, although I love cats as well! I’ve had my first fur baby since I was 11, the other for a little over a year ago. I love taking them on adventures, pampering them, & of course giving them all the love! I can assure you, your fur babies are safe with me. I work weekends to make ends meet for school! In the past I have volunteered at Animal Haven Shelter in NYC and have volunteered at Humane Society in Delray Beach, FL. Most recently, in my volunteer position at animal haven I was responsible for walking dogs of all ages and sizes as well as feeding and socializing them. I have done homestays for friends as well as family and clients here on Rover. I’m used to being in new environments frequently and will adapt to whatever routine you have set for your fur babies. I have 2 portions to my property . One side is fenced on a hillside with a small astro-turfed area for potty breaks. The other side is open with a small water fall and full Astro turf. This gives dogs lots of time outside. I will also keep your dog in the kitchen, where I spend the majority of my time cooking and teaching my daughter kindergarten + computer work at the kitchen table. Your pup will also enjoy the walks around the neighborhood, which includes a lot of trees and nature.

About: I have had dogs of my own my entire life, and have always had one in my 36 years of life. I love and care for all dogs. Your dog will be loved and well taken care of not only by me but my whole family. I have 2 goldendoodles that I got as puppies and potty trained them as well as taught them basic commands. I do not allow pets outside, even my fenced yard, without me outside with them. We never have visitors so an opened gate will never be a problem, because our gates are always shut. Your animals will be loved as if it were one of our own. If an overnight stay and they are used to sleeping with a human, myself or my child will be more than happy to comfort them throughout the night. They will be so spoiled, loved, and extremely well taken care of. I work less than part-time from home. I am always available and can fit in your pets needs at any time. Your pet will fit right into my daily life. I have a fenced in yard, and your animal will not be allowed outside at any time alone, I will always be with them for potty time. I have 2 goldendoodles of my own, who are extremetly shy and skittish of people, but love other dogs. I can crate your animal if you prefer, but they are also free to roam around and be loved on. If your pets prefer not to be around other pets, I can block off part of my home so my dogs are separated from yours.

I am a ‘Stay at Home’ Mom, currently homeschooling my 6 year old daughter through a fantastic charter school. I make my own schedule and can easily accommodate your pet’s schedule into my own. My daughter is very well-behaved, with an easy going disposition, which makes animals love her. My husband also loves all animals, but will not be care-taking for your animals, as he is works full time. I will be the full-time caretaker of your beloved fur-friends. I have 2 portions to my property . One side is fenced on a hillside with a small astro-turfed area for potty breaks. The other side is open with a small water fall and full Astro turf. This gives dogs lots of time outside. I will also keep your dog in the kitchen, where I spend the majority of my time cooking and teaching my daughter kindergarten + computer work at the kitchen table. Your pup will also enjoy the walks around the neighborhood, which includes a lot of trees and nature.

I promise no potty breaks will be missed and your baby gets all the love and cuddles they can handle. 😊 We have dogs, cats and pot belly pigs for your pet to play with in our fenced yard but we also have big crates for separation if needed. “Karina was great. We got updates on all of our dog Calvin's walks, and pictures were great to have too. Calvin has a new friend and Karina definitely spoiled him with longer walks and attention. Calvin can be a bit anxious but took to Karina right away. It was comforting to know that we could count on her to take Calvin out at the prescribed times and didn't have to worry. This was Calvin's first time with a dog walker (he used to go to a pet boarding facility) and we felt he would be more comfortable staying in his own home - with Karina's help, that turned out to be just the right thing to do! In the future, we'll definitely use Karina whenever she's available!”
