“tl;dr: if you have an anxious dog that is fearful of new people, trust Jamie to take care of your dog! We have a 10 month old puppy who is very anxious around new people and can growl. At the vet, he has gotten muzzled and needs to be sedated for regular visits. Elaine’s pet resort failed our dog within 1 hour of his meet and greet and we had to pick him up because he was “growling and aggressive.” We know that our dog is not aggressive and that he just needed someone who loves dogs and took the time to bond with him and wasn’t unnecessarily fearful of him. Jamie was that person! She is phenomenal! Our dog stayed with Jamie for 10 consecutive days with no problem! Jamie took photos during the entire stay and kept us informed. When his paws started bleeding, she even put little booties on his feet so that he could keep playing outside. Based on the photos she sent and how he acted upon pick-up, I know that our dog had a great time and truly ended up bonding and loving Jamie. Jamie really does have a gift with dogs! It was also great that she had lots of other dogs around for ours to play with and get his energy out. Thank you Jamie!”

About: I have always wanted to be able to be around animals and help others with their own pets, over the years I’ve learned different ways of caring for different animals, and different and new tricks to help animals learn new skills and live a happy and comfortable life! I enjoy being able to meet new breeds and ages of dogs, and I also enjoy finding new ways to work with them just as much! With Rover I hope to give out a helping hand to someone who wants to give the most to their pet but might not have all the time in the world to, because I would want someone to offer the same help to me if I was in need of it! About: I've had pets (of many varieties) all of my life. My high school included classes in animal care, my first job was at a pet store, I spent several years fostering dogs and cats for a local shelter, and I've cared for friends and neighbors pets while they were on vacation. “Christy and Michael were great with Cody, and I would happily book with them again. I appreciated that their first message was asking about Cody’s vaccination records, which immediately showed they care about the safety of the pets they watch. Communication was excellent from the start, and the detailed arrival instructions they sent before drop-off made finding their property easy. Their home sits on a beautiful piece of land with farm animals and plenty of space. The last part of the drive is a dirt road and a little bumpy, but completely manageable and worth it. Christy was friendly and welcoming when we arrived, and Cody seemed comfortable and well cared for. Pickup was smooth, and he was relaxed in their home with the other dogs and kittens. Overall, a very positive experience and I would trust them with Cody again.”

About: Hi, I have grown up and taken care of dogs and many other animals , my entire life. My Mom and Dad had a lab who had 14 pups and I grew up with 2 of those puppies, Rowdy and TyTy. After Rowdy passed, at 14 years , we got the first of 2 Rottweilers, Cody Bear and then Brigadier, a 155 lb. teddy bear. Brig thought he was a lap dog, had to finally get him his own love seat! About: Growing up I had always had either a dog or cat at home. I always had a strong connection to animals, especially with rescues, that most people didn't understand. Anytime I saw a stray I would try to bring it home or a least give him or her love. When it comes to the love of pets, I have very few boundaries. About: I have grown upwith pets and have had pets all of my married life. I know how much it means to have someone lovingly care for my pets and to update me on how they are doing when i am away. I am retired and work part time seasonaly as a gardner. I also volunteer weekly at our local SPCA walking and playing with dogs. I walk daily with my own dog and have one cat. We have almost an acre of fenced yard for our dog. Nice dog beds and a seasonal stream. I walk my dog twice a day. I think it is very important for animals to get out and enjoy their surroundings.

We live on a quiet street in a great part of town. We treat all dogs like they are our own. We have experience in puppy training, elder dog care, and injured dogs care. Your baby will be loved and cared for, walked regularly, and hopefully returned nice and worn out from all the play :) Most activities we do as a family are usually dog friendly because we just can’t handle leaving our pups behind! We currently work from home and NEVER leave our pups for more than just few hours (one of ours is afraid of the dark). We are an active family so walks and play are a must. We have a secure fenced yard for lots of roaming around. We can crate dogs who feel more safe/secure in that environment, but we prefer they have the run of the house if they wish. We recognize a new environment can be overwhelming for your pup so we will do everything to reduce that anxiety for your baby :)
