“Had a really good experience with Patricia while we were in out of town. She was reliable, easy to communicate with, and took great care of Bo while we were away. We appreciated the updates and knowing she was being looked after. It made traveling a lot less stressful, and we came home to a happy dog. Would definitely use her and her nice family again!”

“David’s property is big and beautiful, and full of happy dogs! David is very responsive and accommodating. We will definitely be booking dog sitting with him again. Thanks, David!!”

“We’re so happy to have found Crystal! Her home is beautiful and she has her backyard set up perfectly for dogs. She loves dogs and knows what she’s doing; her adorable Rosie dog is also an excellent hostess 😊. I had no reservations leaving our crazy pup, Abby, with her overnight. Crystal sent pictures that clearly showed Abby having a great time and not missing us one bit, exactly what you want as a dog parent.”

About: Hello animal lovers - I have benefitted from Rover for dog sitting and realize it's something I'd love to do myself. My husband (a social worker) and I are both dog lovers and have a dog (a Frenchie) as well. I work from home (I run a marketing agency I started 12 year ago) and alas much of typical day I'm on zoom, and treasure the breaks for walking and loving on the dogs. While new to Rover, if been helping out friends and neighbors with dog care and logistics and sharing the love for years I'm reliable, work from home, and would love to know how you could use some help. Currently offering to sit or board one dog at a time or arrange prescheduled walks. I'll treat them like family. Comfortable with dogs of many sizes and personalities, and happy to provide updates and photos for peace of mind. Looking forward to meeting your furry friend! Our dog Fiona, a frenchie, plays well with others and has some unique needs including no rough play + daily medicine needs so we're familiar with special rules and medical needs. We do a morning walk, a mid day walk, an "after work" walk and a before bed walk. I work from home so am genrrally around all day. While flexible, I imagine at least initially the primary offering will be to host and care for your dog at our place but am open to house sitting if there's a great fit, I work from home. I can host your dog weekdays and weekends but know on weekends we may have friends (and sometimes friends with dogs) stop by. We have a fenced in deck otherwise for excercise we take leashed walks. I currently am only offering care in my own home and plan to only host one additional dog overnight at a time. Ask me any questions you'd like.
“Debbie was fantastic, just the perfect person to watch our Labrador while we were away. She was incredibly communicative and open, she treated our dog like a member of her family and was beyond helpful in taking stress off our shoulders while we were gone and unable to take our dog. We will definitely use her again and strongly recommend to anyone who wants their dog to be in the sweetest, caring hands.”

“My cat was wonderfully well cared for during an extended holiday stay! I received pictures and updates each day and it was very obvious how at home she felt. When my cat took to a certain area in the house, Heather made it a nice comfy spot for her to relax and live her best life in a home away from home. I had a last a minute schedule change, and everything couldn't have been handled more conveniently. Wonderful experience, great communication, and a very happy cat!”

“Our dog had a great time Thank you so much!!!!! Bernadette mad us feel very comfortable Thank you for the great pictures that you send us during our trip so we can see Maybe Thank you”

“Very happy with Jennifer looking after our dog. She took great photos of him and sent us updates of his stay. We just picked him up and he's one happy and very tired dog! We will definitely have her look after him again. Highly recommend!”

About: I will spoil your dog with attention and provide you with complete peace of mind. You can rest assured that your dog is safe and happy and getting the care you specify (such as health needs or special diet) and the love your dog wants (games, walks, toys, treats, hugs, and other canine amusements). My work is part-time, online, and at my own pace, so I can easily shift my attention to your dog's needs for walks and playtime. I have a small fenced yard with artificial grass, and there is a large park at the end of the street, two or three small parks in the neighborhood, and a 2-mile trail to downtown. I have whatever a dog needs but ideally, pets should arrive with their own favorite "furniture," toys, and treats.

I am available for dog walking weekdays and some weekends. Open to special requests and needs. My home has a large doggie door which opens to large fenced in yard. Dogs come in and out as they please. Lots of play toys and special attention.
About: I've cared for dogs for friends over the years, and it's always been a rewarding experience. I'm excited to spend my summer meeting new dogs and providing them with loving, dependable care. I grew up with dogs and have experience with puppies as well—we once took in a stray who turned out to be pregnant, so I got firsthand experience helping care for a litter. Being around dogs has always been a big part of my life, and I enjoy giving them the attention, exercise, and affection they deserve. I have a pretty flexible schedule and I can work with whatever your schedule is as long as I have a heads up. I am off work all summer so I can plan around things! I can also take your dog to the groomers etc. I have a fully fenced yard where your dog can safely play, plus a nearby trail for walks and a green space just a couple of blocks away for even more outdoor time. I provide attentive, personalized care and genuinely enjoy spending time playing with dogs, taking them on walks, and making sure they feel comfortable and happy. I'm also happy to come to your home for walks or drop-in visits. Whether your pup has a specific routine, feeding schedule, medication needs, or favorite activities, I'll follow your instructions carefully to ensure they receive the same loving care they're used to. “Angelina was great! I really can not think of one thing that I was not happy with. She kept me updated on my kitty and sent pictures. I came home to an immaculate home. She even did some light grocery shopping for my return home. Wow, I thought this was so thoughtful. Thank you, Angelina, for letting me enjoy my vacation knowing that I had left everything in good hands. 👏”
“Chantel did a terrific job caring for my cats for a month. She is professional, quick to respond, and went above and beyond trying to solve a (non-pet related) house problem that came up while I was away. She’ll be my first choice for next time!”

About: I have been around animals all my life, particularly big dogs. My family has always had big dogs (Bernese Mountain dogs and labradors), but I share the love with all sizes! Helping train our family dogs has also given me confidence not only in handling animals, but also the knowledge to ensure safe engagement with them and others. No animal is "problematic" they all just require (and deserve) specific attention and patience. I personally enjoy the company of animals, so it's a win-win if I get to hang out with your pet! I'm an active person and like to invite my furry friends along for fun too. I'll run with them to get out their zoomies, play fetch for hours, or go on nice long strolls along the neighborhood. I enjoy getting outside as much as the dog does, so this is a mutually beneficial experience! I work from home, typically schedule my own meetings, and have a flexible schedule! I enjoy getting out of my house to go on walks of my own, so its even better to have some furry company! I understand that life happens and sometimes we need extra support, even last minute. So I'm here to help out with all the things life throw our way. When interacting and engaging with animals, especially new ones, patience and slowness are my virtues. I understand animals and that you're doing your best for them. Whether they just need some love while you're away, or you want me to reinforce training that you're working on, I take your needs very seriously.

About: I grew up with all sorts of animals and have always loved spending time with them. Your pets will get loads of attention from me, as I take full advantage of my time with them. You get your money's worth with me! I have helped potty train, helped teach tricks, have extensive experience pet sitting for animals with various needs and abilities, have experience sitting for elder pets and pets who need medication, and I am dedicated to catering my care to fit with your pet's personality making our time together fun and engaging. I take a positive reinforcement approach to dog training and build trust with the pets I watch. I spend a lot of time outside exploring new locations each day and our time together often ends with your pet exhausted. I have done loads of house sitting and have wonderful references. If needed I can even watch your other pets, too. I am getting my master's degree right now allowing me to take your dog out on frequent walks. When sitting for dogs that are well behaved I tend to bring them with me everywhere I can, keeping them active and engaged. Taking care of your animals is my way of getting time with them during a time in my life when I cannot have them. I love all animals and promise to care for them with all the love I would impart to my own animals. I make sure to treat your house as if it were my own. This means keeping things clean and making sure that nothing is destroyed. If something does get broken (which is uncommon) you will always know and if it was my fault I will, of course, replace it. It is not uncommon for people to ask for me to bring in their mail, water their plants, etc. and I am happy to help how I can.

About: I love all animals, especially dogs. I'm a very active person so walking a lot is no issue for me. I enjoy hiking with dogs. I’ve worked in many dog shelters taking care of dogs of all different ages. I have also been a dog walker/sitter with rover and wag for about 6 years now. With me your puppers are in good hands :) I am working on a farm from 8-4 M-Th so weekends are more ideal. I like to take pups out first thing in the morning for a little stroll and on weekends I usually spend more time relaxing at home. I’m always checking in on them and giving them love whether that looks like playing with them or giving them a cuddle. I also check the water bowl multiple times a day to make sure they are hydrated. I try to have regular feeding times as well.
About: I am an energy infrastructure development executive and entrepreneur who loves to do other work like this locally. I am an experienced, responsible, and fun family-oriented option for support, care, and love for your pets, as my 9 year old son will typically accompany me. I offer drop-in visits and walks. I have lived with and cared for cats and dogs most of my life - growing up with golden retrievers, yellow labs, a husky, German shepards, and a range of domestic short haired cats, including currently our amazing 1 year old cat named Knuckles. I enjoy meeting more great dogs and cats, and more neighbors by helping when folks are traveling, working long hours, or have other constraints. I work remotely most of the time and in an entrepreneurial environment so I inherently have flexibility in my schedule, and can fit pet care into my daily schedule I treat others homes and creatures as I would my own, and can be relied on without question. The core of everything is honesty and respect.

About: I began my seriously joyous devotion to animals at the age of 11, as an SF ZOO volunteer in the barnyard, where I learned to care for a variety of animals, from miniature horses to coyotes to parrots, and more. I have continued to attract rescuing wayward beasts of all kinds, providing them with excellent love and care. I am a natural nurturer, the animals feel at home with me wherever we are. I have worked as a cat, dog and multi-pet sitter for many years, up until now, only through personal referrals. I am a kundalini yoga teacher, craniosacral and polarity therapist. My son is grown and I have a very flexible schedule. I love to get out with the dogs for long walks and if they don’t mind the car, we might get to the beach. I love nature, the outdoors and finding out how best to care for your animal so that they don’t miss you too much. I absolutely appreciate forming long term client relationships so that you and your animals can relax and have fun. I am self-employed and can accommodate your needs. When I am hired for a pet-sit, this is my focus and priority. I can schedule all my other work around it. I have a lovely minimalist home for your pet, a small garden and plenty of leashed walking in the woods space for regular exercise. If a dog is ok with car rides, I’m happy to take them to the beach.

Your furry friends will be well-fed, cared for, and given plenty of attention, all tailored to your standards and beyond. I’m a dog person at heart, but I also love caring for cats. Many friends and clients trust me to care for their pets while they’re away, and I also offer house-sitting services, including plant care, mail collection, and general home upkeep. If boarding is needed, my cozy home in Forestville features a fenced yard, ideal for small to medium-sized dogs. I live close to a park that’s perfect for daily walks and outdoor play. Send me a message—I’d love to meet you and your beloved pets and ensure they feel safe, happy, and cared for while you’re away! Updated 1-22-2025 I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide attentive and reliable care for your pets. Most of my freelance work is done from home, so I’ll often be around to keep your pets company. When I’m out running errands or completing local handyman tasks, I ensure your pets’ needs are fully taken care of before I leave and as soon as I return. My availability includes mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends, giving me plenty of time to tailor my care to your pets’ routines. Let me know what works best for you and your furry friends! I prioritize safety and trust by closely following each pet parent's care instructions and maintaining a calm, secure environment. In clients' homes, I treat the space respectfully and ensure doors, windows, and surroundings are safe for your cat, dog, or other pets. My goal is to provide a stress-free experience, giving both pets and owners peace of mind. I make sure to follow instructions and feed them on time according to your schedule. I also often take dogs on walks and potty brakes and play fetch with them if they like that as well.

“We had our first drop in and walking visit with Michelle and nothing but high praise and tail wags for her services. She a wonderful communicator and clearly in great command in being able to entertain and walk our two our two fur babies. 2 dogs, higher costs- but piece of mind in knowing that an experienced caring person will be here. We look forward to seeing her again for walks, drops in and some future planned over night house visits. Eileen F”

“Kaiel took my sweet but reactive pup out for a walk and fed her dinner while I was out of town. Kaiel was super responsive to all my messages, came over for a meet and great ahead of time, was really great with my pup, and sent lot of photos and a nice message after the walk. I highly recommend!”

“Sophia has done a great job walking my dog so far! She asked lots of questions at our initial meeting, which showed how committed she was to taking good care of him. She has accommodated our requested schedule even when it's a tight fit for her.”

“Debbie was fantastic, just the perfect person to watch our Labrador while we were away. She was incredibly communicative and open, she treated our dog like a member of her family and was beyond helpful in taking stress off our shoulders while we were gone and unable to take our dog. “Melissa was so thoughtful and kind to both Daisy and I. It was our first time leaving Daisy since we adopted her. Melissa took the time to let us visit her home for a meet-and -greet and sniffs of her property a few days before Daisy’s stay. Melissa was so thoughtful and attentive to Daisy’s needs. I have no doubt that Daisy is in good hands with Melissa .”

Dogs come in and out as they please. Lots of play toys and special attention.
“With only a couple of days notice I asked Stefanie if she’d watch our shy little dog overnight who also needed to receive a couple of oral medications. Stefanie responded quickly to my request. Drop off and pick was easy and I received texts with updates & pictures showing our dog enjoying her stay. Our dog came home happy and healthy. Thank you Stefanie!”

“I was warried leaving my shy dog but Lynette's experience was so valuable. She shared how Moorea felt comfortable after we left text and sent photos throughout the day. She knew exactly what to do with a shy dog and this saves so much time. It was a great experience and will be booking our vacation soon. My dog loves big dog and her dog Tori was so well behaved and sweet around Moorea.”

About: Hey, I’m Chappy! Christopher is my legal name… I specialize in walking / caring for large dogs and working breeds, but am happy to work with all breeds and sizes. I have worked with high-energy, reactive, less than sociable dogs too, giving them the physical and metal fulfillment they need. I personally have two larger dogs, Count (German Shepherd Husky mix, 110lbs) and Bentley (German Shepherd Dutch Shepherd mix, 80lbs). I’ve also worked with a range of breeds from pugs to golden retrievers to Alsatian shepherds to American bull dogs. I’m a freelance, work from home marketer, so I’m pretty much always at home and available to take care of dogs, or am able to come to you and take your pup out. We live on roughly 8 acres in Sonoma County, so there is plenty of room at our home for dogs to run and explore. I have two friendly German Shepherd mix dogs that love having friends over. We also have a secure deck that the dogs loving sunbathing on and watching the world go by. I can crate your dog, if need be (we have a crate / room for crates), along with the ability to keep dogs separate if need be. Should your dog use a e-collar of any sort, I’m trained in properly using them, as both of my dogs are trained to them. If your dog loves to hike, we regularly go for hikes on the trails around Sonoma County, or to Dillon Beach to run around off leash.
“Earl was great to work with! He is easy going and great with animals. He was flexible with drop off and pick up times. I would definitely recommend this provider and we will surely be using him again in the future.”

“Lexi and her family treated our dog as their own, and they truly understand what it means to care for a dog. There was never a worry that Moose wouldn’t get adequate stimulation with the many walks and backyard time spent with this family. The most noticeable difference between Lexi and other sitters was Moose’s energy when we picked him up. He wasn’t full of anxious energy and he seemed like our normal pup. This gives us the peace of mind and then some for any future stays he has with this household.”

“Veronica is the best!! She took the best care of our 2 doggies and they loved her! She was super active with them and they enjoyed all the adventures. She kept us updated everyday with pictures and videos. Highly recommend her!”

“My dog Beau had a great time staying with Jill. She is very warm and loving and took great care of my beloved fur baby. I loved receiving photos during his stay and they have a super safe setup. I could tell Beau was super happy being there which means a lot when you’re away. Would definitely book again!”

“Shelia took such great care of Leif with a last minute booking. She sent photos so I knew he was happy and cozy. She even took time to brush him and play with toys, and recommended senior supplements she used for her dogs. Looking forward to boarding with her again in the next couple weeks!”
