“Lauren was awesome. My girlfriend and I were not from the area and needed extra last minute support because of a medical emergency. Lauren responded right away and came to pick up our dog from the hospital. She sent updates throughout the weekend and I know blue was in good hands. If I lived in the area I’d hire Lauren all the time.”

“Bri was Great! She did really well with Charlie and Charlie really liked her and her family. I would definitely recommend her to anybody that asked me. I really like that she sent me updates and pictures it made my away from home much more comfortable.”

About: I’ve been working with all kinds of dog breeds and temperaments for 5 years. Having been a training and using my knowledge on how to build solid foundation and structure to have trust, respect and love from the dogs that I have come to meet. I’m available the majority of the week. This gives me opportunity to have the dogs socialize in groups or on walks during the day. I can drop off or pick up at an owners home if I’m able to, but I’m also open to meet people half way if it makes things easier. Depending on the group I may have that day, I like to have them all in a play group. After I enjoy taking them on walks around the neighborhood or depending giving field trips to the park since I live close by. In the afternoon they get a nap time, usually if they get lunch I wait for them to rest before they revive their food. When nap time is over they return outside, back into play groups. Then the process repeats where they get another nap time, play time and then dinner if they receive one. I am also available to work around a specific routine or schedule may have for their own dog. My goal at the end of the day is for the dogs to receive good exercise, enriching social time and enjoy their rest period. A tired dog is a happy dog. Understanding that each dog is different and not all dogs have the same energy level, I try and give each dog the right amount attention they deserve to make them feel fulfilled and happy.
“I'm just back after 3 days away for a New Years getaway. I left my girl Mila with Kristen and her beautiful dog Aleutia. No one told me I'd miss my dog this much... But Kristen must have known, she sent me pics of Mila and updates and really put my heart at ease. Thank you Kristen, cheers, until we see you guys again.”

“Max was so thoughtful when looking after our dogs. They had a great time and all their different needs were catered for. Max kept us updated with photos and was careful to ensure all had a great stay, and we were able to relax, knowing that our dogs were in 'good hands'. We'd highly recommend using Max as our dog sitter.”

About: I used to be the president of an animal rescue called Secondhand Animals. Between running an animal rescue and owning dogs, cats, fish, turtles and hamsters all my life, I am very knowledge about animals, what they can and cannot eat, sickness, medications and what to look out for. I am completely set up for X-Large to X-small dogs, and the animals in my home are very friendly to other animals. If not we have several other rooms in the house, where we can keep a guest by themselves in order to not stress the out so much. We also just had a dog run built. I am currently working full-time, but I do go home during lunches and am home in the evenings and weekends. I also have help, if it is needed. I have a fenced in yard, and a dog run with it's own fencing. Every evening I sit out on the deck, and try to engage with my animals. I say try because they do not know what fetch is, but they understand keep-away. We also enjoy taking car rides and walks.

About: Hi there! I’m a passionate, lifelong animal lover back in Tehachapi Alpine Forest! Growing up, I gained hand-on experience with both small and big dogs, so I am entirely comfortable and confident handling pups of all shapes and sizes. Over the years, I’ve provided trusted pet sitting for friends and family, and I even turned my love for animals into a professional, paid service while stationed in Germany. At home, I’m a proud pet parent to two wonderful cats and live with and also take care of two frenchies, so I completely understand the love, patience, and attention to detail it takes to keep pets happy, safe, and comfortable. Whether your dog needs a high-energy walk, some cozy companionship, or specific routine care, I will treat them with the exact same love and devotion I give my own. With my summer entirely open and a flexible hybrid college schedule during the school year, I have the perfect routine to give your pets the dedicated time and attention they deserve. Because I’m not locked into a 9-to-5, I can easily accommodate mid-day check-ins, specific feeding routines, and consistent playtime schedules that keep your cats or dogs happy and relaxed. I go to class from 6-9pm one day every other week during the school year, and on my hybrid class days, I can study right alongside your pets, providing that constant companionship. You can rest assured that my schedule allows me to be highly reliable and completely focused on maintaining your pet's normal daily routine with an overnight stay or check ins! I provide all of my pet care services exclusively within the comfort and familiarity of the client's home, as my own household is already fully occupied by my own pets. When staying at or visiting your home, I always make sure my care to almost mirrors your pet's established daily routine, whether that means adhering to precise feeding schedules, managing litter box maintenance, or providing dedicated interactive playtime. I am able to give your pets personalized attention in the space :)

About: What sets my cat boarding apart isn’t just the peaceful mountain setting—it’s the deep understanding and love I have for cats. I’ve been a cat person my whole life (maybe it’s the Leo in me), and I absolutely adore their curiosity, independence, and playful mischief. My own two cats, Face and Lilith, are proof of the special bond I share with felines. Face, my loyal shadow, took 1.5 years of patience before he finally let me pet him. Now, he’s my best friend, exploring the woods by my side and sharing an unbreakable bond with my Kelpie, Aleutia. Lilith, my Hemingway cat with extra toes, showed up here as a tiny kitten, barely four weeks old. She’s now thriving, playful, and living her best life. Because every cat is unique, I take the time to understand their personality, communication style, and comfort level. Whether they’re social or shy, adventurous or reserved, I provide a tailored experience to ensure they feel safe and at home. For kitties who prefer a dog-free space, I have a dedicated downstairs area designed just for them. It’s a cozy, sunlit play zone with padded, cloth-covered shelves, climbing spots, and plenty of enrichment activities to keep them engaged. Cats will never be let outside unless specifically requested by their owner, ensuring their safety and comfort. Here, your cat won’t just be boarded—they’ll be understood, cared for, and given the space to feel truly at home. If you prefer I also have a whole second home that they are welcome to call their home while you are gone. I will regularly check in on them and give them lots of love and cuddles. Any special requests are heard and implimented.

Completely inclosed yard as well as a big house with lots of room to roam. I have 6 cats and 7 dogs as well as other pets that can provide your animals with company.

About: My name is Al and I don't mind spending time with any dog. Always a good time. If you select me for this job I'll do my best to make sure your dog(s) have a friendly healthy experience. I've never had a problem with dogs, even ones that bite. And I will pick up after them on walks. Whatever the situation is, it's no problem. I do really need the extra money and it would be my pleasure to build an ongoing arrangement for your convenience. I am very careful with any responsibility given to me. I will watch out for other dogs and your dogs safety, as well as anyone else and abuse. If there is any discrepancy you need to know I will tell you. If you have any questions, just ask. Thank you.

“Stephanie was amazing and we will probably have her watch our cats again! Our eldest cat, Princess, dislikes strangers and takes a long time to warm up but Stephanie got her to warm up so quickly. Both my cats were treated like Kings and Queens. She was always communicative and even watered my plants for me. 10 out of 10!”

“Lauren was an absolutely incredible. Needed a last minute doggy sitter for a few hours while in town and she responded immediately. She took great care of my dog and removed a few stickers he got during our hike. Will definitely use again.”

“Shayne is so kind and accommodating! I appreciate her willingness to work with my schedule and take the best care of my puppy. She is an absolute super star, and I love how she sends me pictures of my pup! Absolutely recommend her services :D”

“Gigi did well with Danelle and Fred. She actually gave Danelle a kiss before we left. For Gigi to do that shows me that Gigi really enjoyed being with Fred and Danelle and Jack and Betty. (Two very cute little doggies)”

About: Tucked away in the mountains, my off-grid home is more than just a boarding space—it’s a peaceful, nurturing retreat where both dogs and cats can feel safe, understood, and truly at home. I’ve spent my entire life surrounded by animals, and caring for them is second nature to me. Maybe it’s the Leo in me, but I’ve always been drawn to the independent, curious nature of cats, just as much as the loyalty and energy of dogs. I take the time to get to know each animal individually—their quirks, their comforts, and their communication style—because no two are the same. Whether they need adventure, structure, play, or just a quiet place to rest, I tailor their stay to what suits them best. My own pack includes two amazing dogs, both of whom I’ve raised since they were pups—an Australian Kelpie who thrives on activity and focus, and a Husky/Malamute mix who loves adventure just as much as I do. I also have two incredibly special cats, Face and Lilith. Face, my shadow and best friend, was once a wary barn cat who took 1.5 years to trust me. Now, he hikes with me and my dogs, showing an adaptability I’ve never seen in another cat. Lilith, my Hemingway cat, appeared as a tiny, helpless kitten in the woods and has since grown into a thriving, playful companion. Recently, I also took on the challenge of caring for and finding homes for 21 puppies all at once—an experience that reinforced my deep commitment to the well-being of every animal that comes into my care. For dogs, my home offers the perfect mix of adventure and comfort, with plenty of space to roam, explore, and play. For cats, I provide a dedicated, dog-free space downstairs, designed just for them, complete with padded, cloth-covered shelves, sunlit lounging spots, and plenty of enrichment to keep them engaged. Cats are never let outside unless specifically requested by their owner, ensuring their safety. Whether you have a dog who thrives on companionship and outdoor adventure or a cat who craves quiet comfort and personalized care, my home is a place where they will be loved, understood, and cared for like family. I do have a large fenced back yard which is behind expanded currently. Pet care isn’t just something I do—it’s fully integrated into my daily life. Living off-grid and working from home means I don’t have a traditional 9-to-5 schedule, so my time revolves around the animals in my care. From the moment I wake up, I’m tending to their needs—letting dogs out to stretch their legs in the fresh mountain air, preparing meals tailored to each pet, and making sure everyone feels comfortable and at ease. Throughout the day, I engage with them in ways that suit their personalities—whether it’s a long hike through the woods for high-energy dogs, quiet companionship for more relaxed pets, or interactive play for curious cats. Because I’m always home, no animal is ever left alone for long. I have the flexibility to adapt to their needs in real-time, whether it’s providing extra comfort for a nervous newcomer or giving an active pup the extra exercise they crave. At night, every pet settles in safely, knowing they are in a warm, loving environment. Caring for animals isn’t a job I clock in and out of—it’s simply my way of life. Exercise and outdoor time are a big part of my daily routine. I take my dog for runs or walks multiple times a day, exploring the beautiful mountain trails and giving them the movement they need. If your dog enjoys exercise and adventure, I’d be happy to include them in these outings, ensuring they get plenty of physical activity and enrichment. Whether they prefer a leisurely stroll or a high-energy run, I tailor the experience to match their needs and comfort level. If your pet has special needs—such as medication, a specific feeding routine, or any other care requirements—I’m happy to integrate that into my daily schedule. Every animal is different, and I make sure to accommodate their unique needs so they feel comfortable, safe, and well cared for during their stay.
About: I am on Kern County Sheriff's Search and Rescue Team, I am fingerprinted and background vetted. So your animals and property would be well protected. I have taken care of animals of every kind since I was a young girl. I also worked at a veterinary hospital while I was in high school, which fueled my passion for animals. Family, friends and neighbors have all relied on me to take care of their beloved pets. Whether it's dropping dogs off at my home or me staying at their house to provide a calming, reassurance to your pet while they were gone. I am currently retired. So I have plenty of time to look in on your pet, take them for walks, give them love and nuzzles. Or just come and peek in on them and make sure they have plenty of food and water and that they are okay. Some animals that I take care of do not care for people to stick around in their home. So I just check on them several times a day and make sure they're doing okay. I have a fenced yard and two friendly dogs to play with your pups and keep them active. I can easily create if need be.
“Oh my goodness! My super active puppy loved staying with Robin and his new friend Gigi! Robin made it easy to leave Chase and kept me updated throughout the day with pictures of the fun he was having. Robin will be my go to dog sitter from here on out! Chase was tuckered out from playing and happy! Thank you Robin (and Gigi)!”

About: Growing up with cats and dogs, I learned pet responsibility at a young age. I also learned that animals gave me a purpose and passion. I loved seeing our pups excitement when we arrived home, at meal/snack time or when they knew it was time for a walk. Because we are a home that rescues our furry family rather than purchase them, I know how to adjust to pups that are more timid and need time to adjust to new people. I am a homeschool Mama of 2 girls. (13 & 9) They both play soccer and go to dance once a week. We have the ability to adjust our schedule a little to accommodate your fur babies into our schedule. My oldest comes with me to most sitting jobs because animals are her passion. We both love animals and will treat your babies as if they were ours. I offer a safe and fun experience for your fur babies. From feeding, walking, jogging, ball chasing or just laying on the floor with them while they use me as a personal jungle gym. I prefer to care for your pets in your home or neighborhood.
About: You’ll get total kindness and dependability, along with happy pets when you select me. I will do everything I can to make sure your pets feel happy, safe and are well cared for. I never rush and always give pets all the time they need while I am there. Plus, I’m happy to water plants and anything else you need for free. - I’m new to Rover but have been pet sitting via neighborhood apps and ads for over 20 years. Additionally, I do as many drop-in visits as your pets need for that same basic day rate. So, if you need me to stop by three or more times, I’m happy to do that for no extra charge. It helps keep your pets in their home where they are most comfortable without interrupting their routine. While there I can open or close blinds, turn lights and TV off or on, whatever your pet needs to feel safe and comfortable while you are away. Plus, you’ll get regular updates so you know your pets are dong well while you are away. Along with caring for my pug and my cats - caring for others pets takes center stage during the day. I also enjoy getting to know pets and their owners in order to give excellent care. I understand keeping your pet safe is an incredible extension of trust. I am very careful when opening doors, am very aware of our surroundings when taking walks, and very careful doors are securely locked. Any special requests owners have, I am happy to abide. I’m safe, dependable and trustworthy- always.
About: As a dog sitter with extensive experience working with rescues, working dogs, puppies, and reactive dogs, I bring a compassionate and understanding approach to every dog I care for. My background in handling rescues has taught me the importance of patience and trust-building, while my experience with working dogs gives me insight into their high-energy needs and structure. I’ve also raised puppies, providing the guidance and training they need to grow into well-behaved companions. With reactive dogs, I prioritize creating a calm, safe environment, ensuring they feel secure and understood. This combination of skills makes me an ideal pet sitter for any situation - I'm excited to meet and care for your fur baby! I also assist a local farrier and am comfortable working with horses and pigs. I currently go to grad school online and work part time from home, so my schedule is very flexible. I am willing to work outside of the immediate Tehachapi area with gas mileage covered ($0.50 per mile). CLEAN environment to prevent illness and disasters from happening.
About: I have dealt with many different pet personalities and genuinely care about their needs. I aim to give your four-legged friends the attention they deserve. I believe that a dog should have the ability to see what outside looks like, and visit different areas such as parks. I also believe that all pets act a certain way for a reason, and shouldn't be yelled at, or treated badly if they aren't 'easy-going' or 'social'. Personally, my love for pets started when I got my first dog as five years old. Named him Rocky after the boxer, Rocky Balboa. Unfortunately, he passed away two years ago from old age. He was blind, but he still recognized my voice...which was pretty amazing. Rocky showed me that a dog could truly be a man's best friend. I pledge to give the upmost care to your best friend. I currently work from home, so I will have plenty of time to play, walk, and give your pet the love they need while you’re away. I will carefully review your instructions in order to provide the best and safest environment for your pet(s). My services will be provided at a level that gives you and your pet maximum comfort.

About: I’m a dedicated 21 year old dog lover who currently cares for two rescued female puppies. They are friendly and fixed :) Raising young shelter dogs has given me hands-on experience with puppy routines, socialization, basic training, exercise, and lots of patience. I understand the importance of consistency, positive reinforcement, and creating a safe, comfortable environment for pets. Growing up, I also owned a Chihuahua and spent time dog walking for others ever since I was a kid, which helped me learn how to work with dogs of different sizes, personalities, and energy levels. I’m comfortable with active puppies, shy dogs, and dogs that need extra attention and reassurance. What sets me apart is that I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and treat every pet as if they were my own. Whether your dog needs playtime, walks, cuddles, or simply a caring companion while you're away, I’m committed to making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I currently work part-time as a delivery driver, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to stay close to home throughout the day. Because of that, I’m able to provide frequent potty breaks, exercise, playtime, feeding, and plenty of attention. I care for my own two young dogs every day, so pet care is already a major part of my routine. When I'm not working, I spend time walking, training, playing with, and caring for them. My flexible schedule allows me to adjust my day around the needs of the pets in my care and make sure they receive the attention, supervision, and affection they deserve. Safety is my top priority when caring for pets. In my home, dogs have access to a large, securely fenced yard where they can play, exercise, and explore safely under supervision. I also have a large crate available for dogs who are crate-trained or need a quiet place to relax. If a dog needs their own space, I can separate them using a dog gate and provide a comfortable area in my home where they can rest safely. I always monitor interactions between pets and make sure each dog is comfortable and stress-free. When caring for pets in a client's home, I follow their routines as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, exercise, medications, and any special instructions. I believe consistency helps pets feel secure and comfortable while their owners are away. My goal is to provide a safe, calm, and caring environment where every pet feels at home.
