About: Hi! My name is Victoria, and I’m 27 years old. I work a hybrid remote schedule, so I’m home most of the time with my three-year-old Husky, Thorfinn. I grew up around dog rescue and was used to having 8–10 dogs in the house at a time. That experience taught me how to care for dogs with all kinds of personalities — including the stubborn, sassy, energetic, teething, and occasionally mischievous ones! I’m comfortable with dogs who need patience, consistency, and a little extra attention. My rescue experience has also given me hands-on experience with dogs who need additional care. I’ve helped care for a Rottweiler recovering from a serious hip injury, including assisting her with mobility, medications, and getting around in a wheelchair. I’ve also administered eye drops and other medications and have experience caring for dogs who may not be thrilled about their treatments. 😊 I’ve also transported rescue dogs to foster and forever homes throughout California, which gave me the opportunity to work with shelters, rescue organizations, and fosters across the state. About: I have loved animals my whole life and have had many pets; dogs, cats, horses, birds, rabbits, sheep and more. I thoroughly enjoy being with animals, loving and caring for them. Some of my first jobs were at animal clinics, where I learned a lot about caring for animals. I was in FFA as a youth, where I raised and showed sheep, and where I also learned a lot. “We came into town from the Bay Area and wanted to do some whitewater rafting that wouldn’t allow dogs. Sara was kind of enough to watch our 12 pound shih tzu. Sara asked for his vaccinations records to make sure no dog would get sick, which was very reassuring to us. We felt very comfortable leaving him there and believe he had a lot of fun at her place playing with the other dogs. Sara checked in multiple times with updates and pictures and was very accommodating when we asked to pick him up an hour later than originally discussed. About: I have cared for and loved animals since I was a little girl. I was raised in a house with dogs of all types and have continued to have them in my life. I have two rescues, a 6-lb sweet female chihuahua and a 30-lb shy male terrier mix, that love to be around other dogs but who also are submissive to and respect other dogs’ needs for their own space. Having been a zookeeper and vet tech, I have worked on training various critters, as well as cared for elderly animals that need special attention or medications. I work from home with my husband full time and we are always ready for fur baby snuggles on our couch and bed. We also live near a canal and trails, so dog walks are very frequent in our home. Because we live farther away, we are also willing to come do pickups to keep you from having to drive to us, but we understand completely wanting to see where your pups are staying. I work from home nearly full time except Tuesdays, but my husband is home full time everyday. I am an early riser and can do early walks/pickup/potty breaks. As we are working on house projects due to this being a new and first home purchase, we are home a ton on the weekends too. If I am staying at your home, I can arrange to be there constantly because my husband is home to care for my pups. I don’t have a fenced yard, but live very close to a dog park that is fenced. I also have a canal trail right off my driveway and we walk our two dogs on it all the time. My two babies are extremely sweet and friendly with other dogs. I am an extremely tidy and organized person, so whether your pup stays with me or I come to your home, I can guarantee I will always leave things as good or better than I found them. Also, if you have any last-minute travel issues, I can almost always adapt to host longer to make sure you don’t have to stress about what will happen to your pup.

“Amanda was very gracious towards our very naughty puppy. Apparently, some of the nervous behaviors that we don’t see at home came out with an unholy flourish at Amanda‘s home. But I appreciate the fact that Amanda gave us a full and honest report (which is helpful for us to gauge the areas he still needs significant training) and was very kind about the negatives. The most important thing, though, was that he settled down in the car almost immediately. Our dog is a very nervous dog, so if he has had a rough time at a dog sitter, we know right away because he whines and whimpers all the way home. After leaving Amanda‘s house, he winded for about 60 seconds and then went to sleep. Hallelujah! Thank you, Amanda, for the top quality care you have given to our very low quality puppy. I am especially grateful that Amanda was willing to take the puppy at the last minute, because my husband had a hospital procedure and I had completely forgotten about making arrangements for the dog. What a godsend Amanda has been.”

About: I’m a lifelong animal lover who has cared for just about every kind of pet you can think of, dogs, cats, geckos, and everything in between. I’ve loved animals of all ages and personalities, and I’m comfortable with shy, playful, energetic, or senior pets. I have my bachelors in child development and am almost done with my master in social work! I’m a social worker by profession, so compassion, patience, and keeping others safe and cared for is part of who I am. I work from home most days, which means I have plenty of love to give to your pets. Honestly, I’m just looking to add more animal joy into my daily life! I’d love to care for your furry (or scaly!) family member and make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you’re away. I’m available for boardings Thursday through Sunday, and during the week I can easily fit in walks and drop-in visits. Whether your pet needs a quick check-in, a longer cuddle session, or a good outdoor adventure, I can make it work. I regularly travel between Sacramento and Pollock Pines, so I’m happy to support families anywhere along Highway 50! Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I’m the Executive Director of a nonprofit animal rescue and have extensive experience with: * rescue and anxious dogs * senior dogs * puppies * medication administration * decompression and slow introductions * leash handling and structured walks * dogs recovering from surgery/injury * reactive or fearful dogs I understand that every dog is different and I always prioritize safety, patience, structure, and making dogs feel comfortable and secure. Because I have animals of my own and run a rescue, I currently focus on: * drop-in visits * dog walking * medication visits * structured enrichment walks * pet transport/help with vet visits I’m especially comfortable with dogs that may need a little extra understanding or experience beyond a typical pet sitter/walker. About: Hello! I’ve been loving and caring for local pets for around 25 yrs. Some pets were young pups and kittens; some were older seniors. I specialize in petsitting at my clients homes. My longest pet sitting job was 3.5 weeks while the owners were in Italy. I have many referrals. I’ve taken care of miniature horses, Friesian horses, and a pig. (We have a lot of rural homes in Auburn area). I’m retired from a construction accounting job. We’re gladly at home most days! My shedule is flexible; if you have an emergency need for pet sitting, I’m your gal. I prefer to petsit at my client’s homes. The animals rather appreciate this. I like to meet the animal(s) before sitting so when I arrive, we have a connection. I give the animals plenty of one-on-one attention. This may include doggy massage to calm them and get to know them. Lots of walks if they like that. Potty Breaks every couple of hours to begin with, as they’re sometimes nervous or have stomach upsets. I’d like to know your favorite names for them, what your routines are, rituals, their favorite things to do. I’ve also stayed with animals after their surgeries to monitor when the owner has to work.
About: I've had a love and passion for animals since I was a child. I adopted my first pet in 2014. A beautiful female Queensland Heeler and American Pitbull mix named Sadie. She has been my service animal for over 5 years. I began my pet care career as a pet shelter assistant. A few years later, I became a Grooming Salon Assistant and have been grooming every since. I have knowledge of most breeds and am comfortable working with any sized dog, any temperament. I have also worked as a Kennel Assistant in a Veterinary office. I learned the in and outs of boarding, administering medications, and making sure all pets get adequate care. I'm looking forward to meeting you and your pet(s)! I'm currently working part time but need extra money as I don't have enough hours. I have a fairly flexible schedule and can work out overnight stays. While caring for pets, I greet them and make sure they're comfortable with me. I like to offer treats and take the time to have them trust in me. I ensure all food bowls and water bowls are filled. I take them out for potty and walks every 2-4 hours. I ensure they get adequate play time, whether inside or outside. Give them lots of love and attention ☺️ All while abiding by your care rules, ie training, medications, etc.

Our dog had never been in doggie day care or boarding (2yo) and Grant helped to supervise her very closely, allow a gradual introduction with other dogs and make sure not to allow any aggression from any other dogs. He exercised the dogs outside and let them stay outside if they wished during daytime instead of crating at all, which was great! Grant also sent pictures and videos to ease my worried mind. I HIGHLY recommend Grant as a dogsitter!!”

“Sara's is the perfect place for our dog, Maggie. There's lots of open space and fresh air, a lovely pond and a great covered patio where she can be outdoors and supervised. We previously had experience with a dog sitter who took in a large number of dogs at the same time as Maggie, and Maggie reacted negatively to that situation. We sincerely appreciate the fact that Sara is willing to limit Maggie's visit to just Maggie and Sara's own sweet dog. Maggie gets lots of walks, lots of love and attention, and comes home happy. We will continue to use Sara as our go-to, favorite dog sitter!”
