Lizzie refused to eat or drink anything, and appeared to be in respiratory distress. Eventually Linda had to take our dog to an emergency vet. I had to fly back from Utah and couldn’t be there until late at night, so Linda stayed with Lizzie as long as she could and sent me photos and updates on Lizzie’s status the entire time. I cannot express my gratitude for Linda’s care and compassion for Lizzie. Wonderful dog sitter, so kind and truly a dog lover. I cannot recommend Linda enough!”

About: There is no furry friend that I do no enjoy being around! I've had the opportunity to love and care for many different animals since I was very young. The last couple years I have fostered kittens and have been able to see more than 20 beautiful babies go to their furrever homes! I have owned, and taken care of dogs of all ages and sizes my entire life. I am able to give medication through injections, and am not shy with training either! My dream is to one day run an animal sanctuary for hurt and endangered animals. Sunday- Saturday 8am- 8pm I have an open schedule and would love to spend it with your animals! Her house is on a large property that's fully enclosed and in a beautiful gated community in the hills. My dog has major separation anxiety, but instead of stressing out like he normally does when he knows I'm leaving him, Oakley immediately settled in and started exploring the property with one of her dogs right after we got there! I could tell from Michelle's updates and photos that Oakley was really enjoying his time there and felt comfortable he would be well taken care of if he needed to stay even longer in the future. The location of her house turned out to be really convenient and close to where I was going, but even if I'm further away the next time I'm in town and need a sitter, I know that Michelle will be our first choice for sure!”
About: As a cattle dog owner, I'd like to think I have a special set of skills for crazy babies. I have always had rescues and fosters in my home. I have been fortunate to work with foster pets from the Caribbean and Mexico as well, each of these often came with health issues. I have experience with pregnant dogs and cats as well! If you are interested in having your pet stay over, know I have a very friendly dog. She has both experienced having guests and foster pets in the house as well. Tolerant and obedient. I have multiple rooms and baby gates for separation and quiet time. In general, I am a very active and outdoorsy person! So i am happy to take the pets out to the trails or the lake! I live on 10 quiet acres with a fenced yard. There is ample space to play outside or be kept safe and warm inside. I work from home 90% of the days so I can provide full time oversight and care. I also work a job where I can take the dogs with me if you approve! I am fortunate to work from home. I have the ability to provide care all day and night for your pet! I walk each morning and evening and have the option to take your pet out for a walk or a play on the property in both fenced and unfenced areas. I have an older dog who is very arthritic so I am used to caring for the elderly animals as well. Pets in my home have their own room if needed. I have plenty of space for crates. I have a large gated deck and live on 10 acres on a quiet road. My own pets walk daily with me along my road which works well for easy elder dog walks as it is shady even in the summer. It also can provide great training ground as there is little traffic. For the high energy babies, we can play fetch or take to the trails nearby. I have always had rescue pitties so I am comfortable with big cuddly babies. I adopted a cattle dog pup who had clinical anxiety which has taught me how to care for highly intelligent, high energy dogs as well. Treats, love, and confidence makes for a happy dog!
About: I have loved animals my whole life and have had many pets; dogs, cats, horses, birds, rabbits, sheep and more. I thoroughly enjoy being with animals, loving and caring for them. Some of my first jobs were at animal clinics, where I learned a lot about caring for animals. I was in FFA as a youth, where I raised and showed sheep, and where I also learned a lot. In my younger years I had many horses. I learned how to care for them, feeding, exercising, and cleaning up after them, etc! I learned responsibility, in addition to a deep love of animals. About: I have been a full-time puppy whelper for the past 8 years and come highly recommended with lots of references. I welcome all different breeds. I am always home. While I do have to pick up and drop off my children for their various sports and activities, it’s just a five minute drive away.I am always available. Plus, I’m attending school online from the comfort of my home. I live on 1 1/2 acres with a mini horse, two small goats that like to visit the neighbors and two potbelly pigs. About: Served as a volunteer and foster parent for many rescued animals in Bali during the pandemic. My experience with animals is vast. Ive grown up with many different kinds of pets. Cats. Dogs. Birds. Reptiles. Rodents. Chickens. ducks. Donkeys. Horses. Pigs. Goats. You name it. I love all animals. I was raised in the foothills in the redwood forest. I’m a very down to earth and healthy lifestyle human who just loves fur babies of all types. I’m attentive and loving and playful with animals. I really need it as much as they do. I work early in the mornings off around 9am and then have most of the day to myself. It’s nice to have an excuse to take a dog on a walk or to lounge around with some kitty cuddles. Having animals in my home makes it feel more like a home. In my own home I will be in close proximity at all times and I will be home the entire time so I can sense when potty breaks or walks are needed. I really enjoy taking walks myself so it’s a perfect fit to have dogs over. Cats are similar with the exception of walks unless you want to leash train them or already have. I love to keep an eye on them so they don’t hurt themselves and I give lots of play time.

We have a fenced in deck that is 30 x 50 so there are many opportunities for your baby to be outside in the fresh air And still be safe. If your dog is an inside dog, we will keep him inside with us and he will be warm and cozy at bedtime.

About: Since high school I have had experience with normal pets to the exotic! I can honestly say that each animal is an individual that deserves their specific needs acknowledged and met. I do have experience with senior animals that need medication as well as special needs, there hasn’t been an experience that I haven’t learned from! I’ve even read books like Caesar’s Way in order to better understand my own pets and help them. I’ve even been known to be a bit of a perfectionist although that was in my earlier years now I can gladly say am a seasoned sitter! Please feel free to reach out to me before booking my care and I will answer any and all questions! Caring for your family member fits into my routine because at the moment I am a dog Mom of one dachshund with a good partner that loves her as much as I do! I also do volunteer work, which is extremely flexible. Aside from that a lot of what I do is online, which works out great when pet care is involved I will care for your family member by noting all of their needs as well as asking any questions I have about the environment if it was not already covered in our introduction. About: I have taken care of dogs on my own since I got my dog Mr. Buddy who is an Australian Shepard. I raised him from a puppy when I got him in Alaska when I was in the air force. I also watch my sister's dogs all the time, and I've decided to turn my love of dogs into a profession. About: I have cared for and loved animals since I was a little girl. I was raised in a house with dogs of all types and have continued to have them in my life. I have two rescues, a 6-lb sweet female chihuahua and a 30-lb shy male terrier mix, that love to be around other dogs but who also are submissive to and respect other dogs’ needs for their own space. Having been a zookeeper and vet tech, I have worked on training various critters, as well as cared for elderly animals that need special attention or medications. I work from home with my husband full time and we are always ready for fur baby snuggles on our couch and bed. We also live near a canal and trails, so dog walks are very frequent in our home. Because we live farther away, we are also willing to come do pickups to keep you from having to drive to us, but we understand completely wanting to see where your pups are staying. I work from home nearly full time except Tuesdays, but my husband is home full time everyday. I am an early riser and can do early walks/pickup/potty breaks. As we are working on house projects due to this being a new and first home purchase, we are gone a ton on the weekends too. If I am staying at your home, I can arrange to be there constantly because my husband is home to care for my pups. I don’t have a fenced yard, but live very close to a dog park that is fenced. I also have a canal trail right off my driveway and we walk our two dogs on it all the time. My two babies are extremely sweet and friendly with other dogs. I am an extremely tidy and organized person, so whether your pup stays with me or I come to your home, I can guarantee I will always leave things as good or better than I found them. Also, if you have any last-minute travel issues, I can almost always adapt to host longer to make sure you don’t have to stress about what will happen to your pup.
About: Hello, I am a local who lives full time in Tahoe City. I've been a pet owner with both dogs and cats for the last 30+years. I am a mother of two grown children that are now off away at school. I work at the local elementary school with young children of special needs. I am a fun, caring and loving person who loves both animals and humans. I don't have any pets living with me so your pet would be the only one I would be caring for. I am free to take care of your pet most days, nights and some weekends. I work from home during the summer months so my schedule is always flexible. I currently live in a condo down the street from Lake Tahoe. There are numerous parks at the lake as well as many hiking trails to walk your dog at that are close by my place. I will always walk your dogs on a leash unless otherwise informed by owner to let run free in the woods and trails. I am very safe and responsible.
