“This was our first time using Rover for our German Shepard, Axel and Buddy’s Retreat could not have made the experience more perfect! Christine was warm, thorough, and welcoming at our meet and greet. Easing any of our concerns and giving us a run through of a typical day. Drop off was quick and easy- Axel immediately felt at home! The updates were frequent with lots of happy puppy pictures from playing with the other dogs, numerous games of ball and snuggling in his bed. Our pup can even be a finicky eater and they were kind to try different treats to entice him to eat. Upon pickup Axel was the most calm I’ve ever see him after a time away from us. All this to say- Axel would be thrilled to go back! We highly recommend Buddy’s Retreat.”

“I was very nervous because this was the first time Carl and Clem have been left alone and needed a sitter, but Claudia went above and beyond to make sure they were taken care of and didn’t get lonely. She came out to meet them before my trip and learned their personalities and needs. Carl got extra love (he’s the needy one) while Claudia took care to get Clem her treats away from her brother who has dietary restrictions. They looked so happy getting cuddles from Claudia in the pictures she sent me and they had full bowls of food, water and clean litter boxes the entire time! “Hector was the best taking care of my cat! He was extremely responsible and careful and followed all my instructions to take care of Kitty. I had to travel to my home country for a couple of weeks, and having Hector around made me feel comfortable. He was super responsive to the texts and always made sure he posted an update for me for every visit. He kept my place clean, brought in any packages that were outside of my apartment and took care of everything I asked him to do. I could also see how well he treated Kitty, and how he played with her and pet her. My cat really adores him. He was also super polite with me and it was a pleasure dealing with him. About: I’ve had several dogs throughout my life and will probably be getting another one or two within the next year. My main option on here is dog boarding but, depending on the dog boarding schedule, I or somebody else on my team could also be open to do drop ins, house sitting, or walks, especially for those who have already used our boarding services. Please ask about these additional services after a confirmed boarding session. I’m in the middle of taking a few years off from teaching high school because A) Who couldn’t use a break from that? and B) I am focusing on building up a short-term rental business (Airbnb mostly). As an Airbnb host I spend a lot of time at home and have found that one of my favorite things to do is play with dogs in the yard (especially, when there’s more than one of them here at the same time!) and take them on trips to the park. I love dogs and am very reliable, trustworthy, and flexible. I live in a house with a fenced yard and all of the instructions you leave will be followed to keep your little buddy happy & safe! I am home most of the day and when I do leave it's usually only for an hour or two at a time. Most of what I do at home (working on a computer, household chores, yard work) I do in the presence of whatever dogs happen to be staying at that time. One limitation that I do try to stick to is to avoid scheduling drop-offs or pickups on Sundays before 10:00 am. Unfortunately, Rover doesn't give me the option to block off those times without blocking out the entire day so adding this note here is the only way to give you a heads up (hopefully, you read this before booking). I have a fenced yard and usually board 2 or 3 dogs at a time so that they have playmates. If ever I leave the house, dogs are left inside. Dogs that stay here must be up to date on shots as well as on a flea-prevention medication.

Brasilio gladly did a meet and greet with us and brought his Husky to meet Tucker. He was very laid back with Tucker and very comfortable giving him a chance to get acclimated to his dog. Tucker responded very well so I felt like he’d be in good hands w/ Brasilio. He was also very accommodating when he needed to stay overnight when I had a schedule change and wanted to just pick him up the next day. About: I've never really taken care of dogs, other than pet sit for friends and family but I have a dog and 2 cats! They are my everything and I'll care for yours like I care for mine. I work until 7 pm on Monday-Thursday and work from home on Fridays, usually will just have meetings until 2 then I am free. Also free on the weekends! I will take dogs on a long or short walk, whatever they're used to and can handle. i can also hike with dogs if that's what they like to do. For cats, I play with them with their toys or cuddle with them if they're not into playing.

“This was our first time using Rover for our German Shepard, Axel and Buddy’s Retreat could not have made the experience more perfect! Christine was warm, thorough, and welcoming at our meet and greet. Easing any of our concerns and giving us a run through of a typical day. Drop off was quick and easy- Axel immediately felt at home! The updates were frequent with lots of happy puppy pictures from playing with the other dogs, numerous games of ball and snuggling in his bed. Our pup can even be a finicky eater and they were kind to try different treats to entice him to eat. Upon pickup Axel was the most calm I’ve ever see him after a time away from us.
