About: Cats have always held a special place in my heart, and I understand that every cat has their own unique personality and routine. I have two cats of my own and extensive experience caring for both my own pets and others’ cats. I’m comfortable administering oral medications, inhalers, topical treatments, and other routine care, as well as trimming nails, cleaning litter boxes, feeding specialized diets, and providing plenty of playtime, enrichment, and affection. Whether your cat is social, shy, energetic, or senior, I’m patient, attentive, and committed to making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away.

“This was our first time using Sarah & David to look in on our two cats. We have someone we normally use on Rover, but they weren't available for our requested day. Sarah & David took the time to come out and meet all of us (cats included) before accepting the job. They were both very nice and you could tell they were animal people based on the cats reception to them. They came by one day to check in, top off food, deal with the litter box and spend a little time with them while we were away. I was happy with their service and would definitely use them again in the future.”

“Aires and Inwoo were completely incredible. From the meet and greet before my trip to clear communication, photos and videos, I knew my cats were taken care of. Such a relief to not be worried about them. Thanks for everything, I will definitely be booking with you again.”

“Natalie did an excellent job taking care of our cats! She has our full trust and confidence, and we will definitely be working with her again in the future. She was very responsive and provided ample photo updates throughout our trip. Highly recommend!”

About: I love spending time with animals. I recently worked at a vet clinic and it was great because I got to pet dogs and cats all day. I’m excited to try being a pet sitter/walker and get to hang out with more animals. I currently have two dogs. One 6-year-old that I got as a puppy and one 13-year-old that I adopted last year. I also have a pet snake and lots of fish. Unfortunately, I don’t have a cat because my dad is allergic, but I love spending time with my cousin‘s cat named skittles. Last summer I did an animal behavior internship UC Davis and learned quite a bit about animal training. I’m excited to try applying what I learned while working for Rover. I’m free weekdays anytime after I get out of class at 3:30. On Mondays I get out at 11:30 so I have a bit more time in the afternoons. I don’t have anything scheduled regularly on weekends, so I’m usually free unless I make plans with my friends or family beforehand. I’m willing to do walks and drop in visits. Walks can be as long as you’d like and since I have a car, I could even take your pet to a park with your approval. For drop ins, I could do anything you needed whether it’s enrichment, feeding, training, cleaning up after your pet, or even just keeping them company. If there is anything else you need that I didn’t mention, feel free to ask!
About: Ive taken care of my own dog for over 6 years, walking him, cleaning up after him, and of course, giving him lots of love. Now that I’m in college I’m sadly not able to see him everyday, so I would love to be able to help out on taking care of your dogs! I’m also very active (I love to dance, workout, hike) so going on walks would be right up my alley:) Since it’s summer, I have lots of time to provide for your precious doggies! I’m currently working part-time from 10-6pm from Monday-Thursday, so I have lots of time to come take care of pets in the evening time, and all day on weekends (and Friday’s anytime after 11AM)! I am also very flexible with bookings so we can always work out a schedule that works for the both of us! I also have a valid drivers license and car, so I am able to travel efficiently for our appointments. I am very adaptable in new spaces, so once information is given on your home and your pup’s necessary routine, I will be able to follow those instructions clearly. As I’ve lived with my own dog before, I’m keen on their emotions and expressed body languages to ensure I don’t invade their privacy, but I also know when to give them lots of love:)

“Sydney took great care of my cats. She shared detailed reports of how they were doing and pictures. I was really relieved to know that they were in good hands while I was away.”

“Sara was a fantastic caregiver for our elderly cat and we would recommend her to anyone! She is extremely communicative, and respectful of our cat's needs. She went above and beyond and asked where a broom & dustpan were while we were away because Becky can be sloppy with her litter. Sara proactively clarified Becky's insulin needs to make sure she would be giving her the right amount amidst some changes in her insulin regimen. We look forward to when we can book Sara again!”

“We couldn’t love Alexis more and our real time with her hasn’t even started! So far we’ve done two meet and greets with our extra anxious and mostly blind little pup, before Alexis stays at our house for 5 days! She’s so calm and confident with our dog…I’m a huge fan of her energy and professionalism already!”

“This review is LONG overdue! I run a kitten rescue here in Los Angeles, so it's very hard for me to leave town when so many animals depend on me. Nick has become my go-to pet sitter when I have to visit family back home. He's the only person I trust to take care of them all! I know that when I'm away my babies are spoiled with love and playtime. I never have to worry when Nick is pet sitting. I'm also a pet sitter on Rover, so I have a high bar set for animal care, but Nick surpasses it every time! Just book Nick today... Go, do it now!!”
“Zoe is just terrific! Excellent at communication and really went above and beyond to take care of our tricky little cat Graybee. Our home was clean and tidy when we got home and we had a very happy kit kat waiting for us. Highly recommend!”

“Kelsey is amazing!! She’s taken great care of my kitty Mona three times now - I feel so comfortable leaving Mona with Kelsey because I know she’s in great hands!”

“Frances is great — she’s very calm, which really helps with my anxious pup. She’s a great communicator; she kept me posted throughout the day with pics of Pogo and text message updates. She was also very flexible with my time changes with both the drop off and pick up times. I will book with her again!”

“Therese is the dig sitters of all dog sitters. I’ve been able to use her for the last 3 years and she has been nothing short of highly accommodating of my hectic schedule with my dog Currie. She communicates well and does a great job of taking care of all her pups. I would highly recommend!”

“Natalie was wonderful! She accommodated our last-minute request with such kindness and flexibility, which we really appreciated. She was very friendly and took great care of our dog!”

“Erika was GREAT. Attentive and totally accommodating for our Christmas Day reservation for TWO dogs. She sent photos throughout the day and even introduced our dogs to other fur friends. Our pups came home exhausted and thirsty - signs of a great time! I’ll definitely be contacting Erika again if we need daycare in the future.”

“Today was the first time my 10 month old pup went to a sitter. Margaret was very sweet and helpful getting Maverick acclimated and warmed up to the other pups she was watching. I will definitely bring him back soon! Thank you for caring for Maverick today!”

About: What sets me apart is how deeply I tune into each pet. I'm an empathetic and thoughtful caregiver — I read the subtle cues and anticipate what a dog needs before they have to ask. I genuinely care for every pet as if they were my own. I also have hands-on experience with: • Puppies (patience, potty training, basic commands) • Senior pets (gentle handling, mobility support, medication routines) • Basic training reinforcement After decades of pet sitting on the side and loving every minute, I've learned that the little things — a calm voice, a predictable routine, noticing when something feels off — make all the difference. Pet care is my full-time focus. My daily routine revolves entirely around the pets I'm caring for. A typical day starts early — morning walks, feeding, and medication if needed. Throughout the day, I schedule playtime and rest according to each pet's rhythm. Evenings are for settling everyone in, sending updates to owners, and prepping for the next day. Because this is my only job, I'm fully present; No juggling meetings or rushing off to a desk. Your pet gets my complete attention. I care for pets in my own home. I've created a calm, pet-friendly space where dogs feel safe and comfortable while you're away. Here's what that looks like: • My home is clean, secure, and set up with pets in mind (no hazards, plenty of cozy spots) • I follow your pet's regular schedule — feeding, walks, potty breaks, medication, and rest • I only take a small number of pets at a time, so each one gets individual attention • I send daily photos and updates so you can see exactly how they're doing For safety, I'm careful about introductions between pets, keep the environment calm, and never leave pets unsupervised in risky situations. Your pet's well-being is my full-time focus.

“Kim was great! It was so kind of her to be flexible with my wacky work hours. She sent me lots of pics of my pup and took her on walks with her own dogs. It was great to be able to have a dogsitter who also has dogs so my pup can socialize! I will certainly book her in the future!”

“Thank you so much Albina!! It was very last minute and bullet had a good time. You were very communicative and the drop off and pick up was very quick. If I was in your area, she would be regular there.”

“Crystal took good care of my dog and provided photo updates. Her home was clean and secure. Her dog was very friendly and got along with Kevin. I will work with Crystal again.”

“Jonalyn was fantastic with my dog! She sent so many photos and kept Mocha busy and got her tired, which is hard to do. Mocha is usually nervously reluctant to separate from me, but every time we went to Jonalyn's, she got so excited. Definitely booking again!”

“Isabel took a great care of my dog while we were at the Rose Bowl game. She’s great with communication and was very quick in responding for drop off and pick up. Will definitely use her again next time we visit SoCal.”

About: I grew up in a home with a dog, a cat, birds, fish, and rabbits. Throughout my life, I’ve opened my heart to many a pooch, including a beautiful epileptic Dalmation, a feisty pocket Shih Tzu (that one of my students brought to school in a backpack), an adorably lazy Bijon-Maltese mix who came to stay for a weekend and stayed 10 years -- and most recently a spirited 13 year old Terrier mix that we brought home after his person died unexpectedly. All were loved and doted upon until they crossed the rainbow bridge. The smaller ones vacationed by car, truck, and plane and were with us 24/7. I’ve often cared for my friends' dogs and am known for giving good doggy massages. I’ve also shared my space with an African Sulcata tortoise for the last 17 years. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule. I own a small business that allows me to come and go easily, allowing for long walks and/or lounging around. I have a fenced yard, leashes, bowls, a medium sized dog crate if necessary, lots of healthy snacks and lots of time for walks and doggie massages. In your home, I will care for your special friend as instructed. If your pooch loves toys, we will play, if snoozing is their favorite thing, I will happily sit nearby and chill too.
About: I live with males. I don’t have any pets of my own and will only pet-sit one client at a time! I have been animal sitting privately for 8 years so I recently decided to take this more on a public level. I am able to give your pets and furr babies any type of medication. Just being able to hang out with animals, is fun in general. I do live with males so please let me know if that is an issue. I work from home so I have plenty of time to take care of any animal! I can also help with training while I watch them if needed. My schedule is flexible. I have pride on making the environment safe for any animal. I do like to go over any types of protocols that are needed (medicine, allergies, aggression, etc…) with the owner.
About: Raised around the world and proudly served in the US Coast Guard (Honorably Discharged)from 1990-98. I’m now rooted in the Montecito Heights area for the last 20 years. I’ve never known life without a furry family member by my side. I understand how much your four-legged companion means to you. I treat every pet with the same love, safety, and respect I’d give my own. I bring hands - on experience in puppy potty training, senior pet care and bath time- having lovingly cared for our own elderly pets through every stage of life. Whether you have a brand new pup who needs a little extra patience or a seasoned senior who deserves extra TLC, your furry family member is in good hands here! I am retired and my calendar is wide open to the loving care of your four legged friend(s). I am currently working to help save money to send my daughter to college . Our home has a fence with a metal security barrier to prevent little pups from getting out and we have a yard. Our pets are safe and well loved. I will treat your furry friends the same as if they were my own- with respect and care.
About: Hi! We’re a work-from-home family—along with our sweet fun goldendoodle co-pilot. Over the years, I’ve cared for and raised rabbits, cats, dogs, and even a teenager. I also use Rover for our own dog, so I understand what you’re looking for in a sitter: someone who communicates clearly, sends photos, and treats your dog like family. That’s exactly how I care for every pup in our home. Our dog gets 10,000 steps a day. I also know how to avoid mean dogs behind fences, and I carry a taser for emergencies. I am new to Rover, but not new to dog-sitting. I regularly care for dogs for our neighbors and family. I work from home with a flexible schedule. Morning dog walks and afternoon dog walks happen everyday and we aim for 10,000 steps or more. For everyone’s comfort and safety, I am best suited for well-socialized dogs who are comfortable in a home environment and get along with other dogs. I treat our dog guests the way I treat my own: like a member of our family.
“Freddie was so stoked! He got lots of play time with his new bff Henri and was very well taken care of. Will definitely book with Michael again. Truly felt like Freddie was with family.”

About: I’ve grown up around big dogs such as labs my entire life which has made me very comfortable around animals. I also rode horses for 14 years so have worked with many types and sizes of farm animals. I have my own kitties and have cared for friends cats and dogs as well. I can do absolutely anything you or your animal need. I’m a very active person who loves hiking, long walks, and spending time outdoors, so bringing a dog along is something I genuinely enjoy. I’m also an early riser and have no problem getting up for morning walks, feedings, or whatever routine your pet is used to. I still ride horses and regularly spend time at the barn, so caring for animals is a consistent part of my everyday life—not just when I’m pet sitting. While I do have a part-time job, I’m flexible and happy to work with your schedule to make sure your pets receive the care, attention, and exercise they deserve. I believe every pet deserves to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their family is away. My goal is to maintain the same routines, care, and attention they’re used to, making the transition as stress-free as possible. I treat every animal with the utmost care, patience, and respect, taking the time to understand their unique personality and needs. Whether that’s keeping to their normal schedule, offering extra playtime, quiet companionship, or plenty of affection, I strive to fill the gap while you’re away so they feel secure, happy, and genuinely cared for until you’re home again.
“Daniel was so helpful in getting Bogie some exercise (and quickly confirmed last minute availability) as I was in the midst of packing for a big trip! Bogie came back super happy :)”

About: I have experience with all kinds of pets. I grew up with a big dog, so I have experience walking, feeding, and playing with sizable dogs. My childhood dog was well trained, so I’m used to using commands with dogs. I’ve previously pet-sit for small dogs as well over a range of ages. Although I haven’t had a dog of my own for several years, many people in my life have dogs so they’re still a part of my life. I currently have a cat, so I am also very familiar with cat care. I just love all kinds of pets! I currently work from home as a freelance artist, so my schedule is very open and I have plenty of time to care for and play with pets! I have experience with animals of all sizes so I feel confident in my ability to wrangle any pups. I also have experience crating small dogs.
“Brandi was great with our wild pup! She was always on time and super communicative. She even got some great photos of my dog enjoying her walks. Since it was my first time leaving my dog during the work day, I was nervous she would be crazy but Brandi’s walks helped to keep her happy. I highly recommend Brandi for your pet walking needs!!”

“Izzy is so amazing with my energetic pup, Henry. Her communication, flexibility with his needs and care for him put me at ease. Very thankful we found her! Thanks Izzy!”

“Alyssa was incredible!! She was very very communicative, asked a lot of great questions to make sure my Bowie got the best care possible. She was always right on time for her walks with him. I felt very very safe leaving my Bowie in her care. I would 1000% use her again”

“Sarah has been waking my dogs over the past few weeks and has gone above and beyond to make sure they are comfortable with her and well taken care of while we are gone. Highly recommend!”

“Sofia walks our large and spirited husky. Our husky loves to walk and play with her. She lets us know of anything interesting they have been up to and any improvements she notices with areas we are working on with him. She is dependable, has good communication with us, and helps us troubleshoot when needed. She’s excellent.”

“Pia is so wonderful! She was super responsive on a last minute request, asked all the right questions, and clearly understands and loves dogs. I haven’t needed a dog walker in at least 5 years so I was a bit nervous to start up again, but I’m so glad I found Pia! Would trust and recommend her to any dog parent :)”

About: I’ve been fortunate to grow up with animals most of my life and lucky enough to continue having little fur companions in the home through roommates. I’m proud to say I’m my friend’s go to for pet sitting (+ house sitting) while they’re away in long trips as I love to play, cuddle, and take care of their little ones as if they were my own. I enjoy taking my family’s dogs for long walks whenever I visit and cuddling with the cat if she’s gracious enough to give me attention. I’d love to meet your pet and thanks in advance! 💗 I’m generally free before 2 pm and after 6 pm with open availability on the weekends though my schedule will vary on a weekly basis and can be pretty flexible! It’s not always easy for pets to be with a stranger but with trust, respect, and patience I hope to create a safe atmosphere. I’d love to implement the methods that have already been established by the pet owner to create a familiar environment and easy transition for your pet.
About: Hello! In 2017 I met my first friendly street cat which sent me on a journey from “strict dog person” to “cat lady.” I have since adopted two cats, Bean and Raisin, and fostered more than a dozen adult cats and kittens. I also work closely with an organization doing TNR in my community--trapping neighborhood cats and spay/neutering them. I have a 2nd bedroom that I use as both my office and cat zone with toys if your cat needs his/her own space but am also a friendly home for a rambunctious cat. Bean is very passive and chill, while Raisin just wants to make friends and play. I’m a trusted cat mom and foster mom and will cuddle your fur babies just like you would if you were home with them! I know how important it is to a pet parent's peace of mind while away from their animal to know how they're doing so I always make sure I send pictures and regular updates. Please note that due to my cats, I only board other cats in my home—no dogs. And I only board one client at a time. Rover doesn't give the opportunity to specify this. I can do drop ins for other animals in your home no problem! I work from home and can occasionally have period of hiatus from work with lots of free time to dedicate to doing drop ins and being there for any boarding guests. I am very strict about indoors only for cats given my history with TNR. Also because I'm an experienced trapper, if somehow your cat escapes my care, I have the skills and equipment and knowledge to get them back for you. I don't leave boarding guests alone with my cats without supervision, even when sleeping, unless enough time has passed that I can trust them all together.

About: Hi!! My name is Sofia :) I have been pet sitting for the past 8 years and I absolutely love it!!!!!! I've had 2 dogs named Rusty (Golden retriever) and Toby (Dachshund & Jack Russel mix) that I completely loved and adored. I've also had up to 4 hamsters and 6 fish. I currently have my cat who is my best friend named Mozzarella! Growing up with them as well as caring for my many many other pets, I have great knowledge in pet care and behavior. I also used to attend camp at, as well as volunteered for, the Kentucky Humane Society in Louisville, Kentucky. I learned about pet behavior, administering medicine, potty training, behavior training, and grooming. I am an athlete so I am very active and will walk your dog for as long as wanted and can handle large dogs! I have been and always will be an animal lover and I can't wait to get to know your adorable friends! I am currently a college student at Oberlin College, but my schedule is very flexible! I am available as early as needed before 8:30am everyday and I am completely free every night after 7pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and then after 12pm on Mondays and Fridays! There are many gaps in my schedule between 9am to 7pm where I can come to walk and feed pets for at least 30 minutes to 2 hours, and I'm flexible to changing times during weekdays :). All of my weekends are very open and flexible. Since I am on campus and live with roommates, I unfortunately cannot bring pets into my home but I do have a car so I am able to travel anywhere needed! Taking care of your pet will always be my top priority and will be in amazing hands! :) Your pets safety, love, and care is my #1 priority!! I am very good at sending updates and pictures throughout the day and will not hesitant to communicate when needed. I have taken care of many houses and pets and I am more than happy to share the contacts of those who I have worked for in the past :) I have had repeated visits for many pets I've cared for and can assure that your pet will be taken care of as if they were my own!!

“Lizel is the absolute best! She’s so amazing with my dog Lincoln she’s watched him so many times while I’m away he loves her. Highly recommend Lizel caring for your dog.”

“Julianne is a great sitter and her space is absolutely perfect for active dogs like mine who love to run around. She’s always quick to respond to any messages and my dog seemed to have an amazing time, she was so relaxed when I picked up her which is rare. Would absolutely book with her again!”

“Margaret stepped in at the 11th hour when our boarded cancelled on us day of a 7 day trip. She made was should've been a super stressful day incredibly comforting by responding to us right away and working us into her schedule. We felt great about leaving George with her an her lovely husband while we were away. She was so great with sending us updates and beautiful photos and videos throughout each day we were gone. The greatest thing though was how she was able to integrate George (who is not always the best with other dogs) with the other dogs that came in an out of her care during George's stay. It brought so much joy to us seeing videos of him running around and playing with other dogs. He was certainly sad this HIS vacation was over when we picked him up. Its always been difficult for me to travel since getting George because of the anxiety I feel when leaving him, but knowing we have Margaret opens up a world of stress free travel for us. And on top of that George is well cared for and has a BLAST while we are gone! Thanks again Margaret for taking such good care of our boy :)”

“Teresa took great care of our dog, Andre, over the weekend. She was communicative, kind, and made us feel completely at ease while we were away. Andre came home happy and well cared for. We would definitely trust Teresa to watch him again and highly recommend her!”

“Catherine and Albert were great! Our dog Peanut stayed at their house and he had a great time! They took him on walks and also to the park. Peanut had a fun time playing with Trace (their dog) and the other dog they were dog-sitting. They also provided lots of updates and photos which is greatly appreciated as I missed my pup a lot.”

“Athene is wonderful! Our pup Mia stayed with her for just over a week while we visited family on the east coast. She made sure Mia felt at home and settled and is very mindful of how all the dogs interact with each other. We were able to set up several visits before our trip to meet the other dogs she would be staying with which made the drop-off and transition much easier for our timid dog. Athene is great about giving updates while you’re away and makes sure each dog is happy, safe, and healthy. When we brought Mia home she was completely exhausted from a full week of fun and play. We are so glad we found Athene!”

“Angela is a fantastic, kind and attentive sitter! My baby is super picky and shy and seems to take to Angela so well. She's been proactively updating me on how things are going and took extra care of my pup, even grooming her! TYSM again Angela 💖”

“Tom & Sharanya were attentive, communicative, and showed a lot of care for my 14-year old dog. They have a great front yard, and a sweet dog of their own that got along well with mine. Highly recommend!”

“Jade was fantastic. She consistently communicated with me with meal and walk updates. My flight back home was delayed, but she was a great sport about it. And I can tell Sonny enjoyed her company.”

“We always feel comfortable knowing our pup is with Cathy. Love seeing all the pics and updates! Especially for long extended trips, it’s an added comfort. Thanks Cathy!”
