“Outstanding care, a True Dog whisperer. Sequoia Humane Society hired Mark to care for Browner an d Odie over the Thanksgiving holiday - Two large dogs! Both are known to struggle with other dogs, including each other. I was honestly preparing for this to simply be a safe, calm stay...what we got was something truly incredible. From the very beginning, Mark asked all the right questions about behavior, needs, routines and safety. It was clear he understood these were not "easy" dogs and approach their care with thoughtfulness, patience and professionalism. I encouraged him to try socializing them only if he felt right about an opportunity. To our complete surprise, Brownie and Odie became best friends almost immediately in his care. This is something we have not been able to achieve in a shelter environment and seeing that transformation was nothing short of amazing. This experience has opened new doors for both dogs and given us real hope for their future success in foster and forever homes. Both dogs had the time of their life in Mark's care. About: I don't really have any special skills. We just love animals and we'd love to care for yours when needed. We can feed , walk , give medications , hug on and love your pets. I'm retired now and I don't have any recurring responsibilities so Im pretty much available, all the time. My daughter also lives here with me and she really , really , really loves animals. And she's excited that signing up for this , we can't wait. We have a large , three bedroom home with a den and fenced in backyard , and have a specific area in our den for animal care. We can set up whatever's needed depending on the animal and what their needs are.
“We took our fearful little guy, Charlie, to Mariah and Neil’s house as a get- to - know- you- while -Mom- and Dad- are present visit. This was a first venture for our doggie Charlie and us, not a traditional dog-sitting event. We really liked Mariah and Neil. We were impressed with their kindness and awareness in dealing with dogs in their home. We felt they were honest in describing Charlie’s expected behavior in first being boarded with them, and we loved that. We know our dog well enough to know that leaving him in a strange new house wouldn’t immediately (particularly for a fearful dog like Charlie) be all roses and chumminess. We did leave him for about 15 minutes alone with Mariah and Neil (“ fearful parents, not so much fearful dog!”) and Charlie reacted just as Neil and Mariah predicted. Their home feels warm and loving. They have two really adorable pups who are obviously loved and well-adjusted. We would recommend Neil and Mariah as carers and will definitely be trying to book them again soon!”

About: I have always been an animal lover. Since my teenage years we had dogs and cats in the house. Over the last 20 years I have lived with and cared for 2 dogs and two cats. Sadly at this point they have all passed on of old age, so I would be especially happy to spend time caring for your animals. I am only employed on a very part time basis, so I have a fairly open and flexible schedule for dog walking, home visits and boarding on most weekdays, and some weekends. I have a fenced back yard perfect for pets to hang out in, and there is also a covered area in the back yard if the weather is rainy. I would also allow them inside the house, but not on furniture :). I am a very active person, I walk my own dog at least twice a day, and would be happy to walk even more with yours!

I specialize in providing calm, consistent, and attentive care for pets while their owners are away. I have been caring for animals for many years, starting with family and friends’ pets, and have been active on Rover since January 2025. I provide dog walking, drop-in visits, feeding, and pet sitting, always focused on keeping pets comfortable and maintaining their normal routine. I have experience with cats, dogs, and a variety of other animals, including reptiles and small farm animals. Pet care fits into my weekly routine and is my primary focus outside of my schooling and part-time job. I work as a hostess Friday–Sunday starting at 4pm. I have class from 8am-3pm on Mondays and 6am-2pm on Tuesday and Wednesdays. This leaves my morning/afternoons on Friday-Sunday, and evenings on Monday-Wednesday open for pet care. As well as all day on Thursdays. I am available for stop-in visits, feeding, walks, and overnight house sitting, and I do my best to accommodate regular or recurring clients whenever possible. My top priority is always the safety, comfort, and well-being of every pet in my care. I treat each home and animal with respect and follow all owner instructions closely to maintain your pet’s normal routine. I provide care in the client’s home, where pets are most comfortable and secure in their familiar environment. I am not currently able to offer boarding in my home, but I am fully available for in-home visits, walks, and house sitting. I understand how important trust is when someone is caring for your pets and home, and I make sure to provide reliable, attentive care along with regular updates so you always know how your pet is doing.

About: I have always been an animal lover. Since my teenage years we had dogs and cats in the house. Over the last 20 years I have lived with and cared for 2 dogs and two cats. Sadly at this point they have all passed on of old age, so I would be especially happy to spend time caring for your animals. I am only employed on a very part time basis, so I have a fairly open and flexible schedule for dog walking, home visits and boarding on most weekdays, and some weekends. I have a fenced back yard perfect for pets to hang out in, and there is also a covered area in the back yard if the weather is rainy. I have working around and with dogs and cats for most of my life, my grandma worked with fosters/rescues and at the Animal Shelter during my childhood and with the experience I have a very good understanding of how to handle most animals and provide them with love and care. Both are known to struggle with other dogs, including each other. I was honestly preparing for this to simply be a safe, calm stay...what we got was something truly incredible. From the very beginning, Mark asked all the right questions about behavior, needs, routines and safety. It was clear he understood these were not "easy" dogs and approach their care with thoughtfulness, patience and professionalism. I encouraged him to try socializing them only if he felt right about an opportunity. To our complete surprise, Brownie and Odie became best friends almost immediately in his care. About: I don't really have any special skills. We just love animals and we'd love to care for yours when needed. We can feed , walk , give medications , hug on and love your pets. I'm retired now and I don't have any recurring responsibilities so Im pretty much available, all the time. My daughter also lives here with me and she really , really , really loves animals. “We took our fearful little guy, Charlie, to Mariah and Neil’s house as a get- to - know- you- while -Mom- and Dad- are present visit. This was a first venture for our doggie Charlie and us, not a traditional dog-sitting event. We really liked Mariah and Neil. We were impressed with their kindness and awareness in dealing with dogs in their home. We felt they were honest in describing Charlie’s expected behavior in first being boarded with them, and we loved that. We know our dog well enough to know that leaving him in a strange new house wouldn’t immediately (particularly for a fearful dog like Charlie) be all roses and chumminess. We did leave him for about 15 minutes alone with Mariah and Neil (“ fearful parents, not so much fearful dog!”) and Charlie reacted just as Neil and Mariah predicted. Their home feels warm and loving. They have two really adorable pups who are obviously loved and well-adjusted. We would recommend Neil and Mariah as carers and will definitely be trying to book them again soon!”
