“Until recently, we had never left our pup with someone else overnight. When we met Lucy, we knew she was a great fit for our Kona. After an intro meeting, day long sit and then a 2 night stay, we knew she was ready for a 9 night stay. It took a while for her anxiety and walls to come down, but Lucy was so patient and kind with Kona. We looked forward to our updates, especially the videos and photos, and came to call them ‘Lucy Grams’. It was so comforting to see our girl having fun and Lucy’s two pups are great companions. What I appreciated most was how honest and communicative Linda was. She always kept us informed, and her detailed, heartwarming visit notes became something I genuinely looked forward to reading during our trip. It was so reassuring to know how Mochi was doing each day. I also sent her what probably felt like a gazillion notes beforehand. They were mostly backup information in case Mochi wasn't eating or playing normally, but Linda was incredibly patient and never made me feel like I was being too much. She followed the guidance thoughtfully and took the time to understand him. She also drove quite a distance to care for Mochi, and I'm very grateful for that. About: I recently took a break from dog sitting to focus on caring for my baby. Now that things have settled into a routine, I'm excited to start accepting bookings again! I have 6+ years dog-sitting experience with dogs of many different sizes and temperaments. Personally I have a 85 pound German Shepherd mix, Turbo, a 40 pound labradoodle, Maple, and an 80 pound Rottie/GSD mix named Tater. About: I have had pets for most of my life. My family and I currently have one very playful dog, two cats and a bearded dragon. I, along with my family, have cared for family, friends and neighbors pets for several years now. I work from home, usually only leaving during the day for a few minutes in the afternoon for school pickups (most days I take my dog with me) or the occasional quick errand. I take breaks throughout the day for indoor and outdoor pet play time and daily walks. While I am usually home, if I need to be away for a time there is almost always at least one family member home. When working, my office door is always open. I have a fenced yard for outdoor play time and potty breaks and plenty of sidewalks, trails and parks near my home for daily walks and places to explore.

About: I am new to Rover but not new to pet or house sitting in general. I have sat dogs and cats while family and friends have gone on extended vacations. I am fully background checked (teacher by trade). I love to go on walks and am great with consistency/expectations if your dog is in a training program. I am a teacher who is off for the summer with no vacation plans! I can dedicate a lot of time to checking on your cat or taking care of your dog. Dogs will have the run of the downstairs and opportunities for backyard play during the day but will be expected to stay crated/in pen at night. Feedings happen on the schedule you provide and dogs will get at least two walks a day. Doggos will be treated like they belong in my house. If interested in drop ins for cat care, I will play with your cat, provide pets and head scritches, check on food and water, and remove litter box waste. It is important to me that your pets feel safe and that their routine isn’t disrupted too much. So a meet and greet for us to both feel comfortable about your pet’s care is a must!
