Hailey not only accommodated my last minute plans so I could still go on my trip, I completely messed up the booking and she had no clue problems accommodating this as well. She used her best judgement on when she introduced the dogs which all I wanted was for her to be comfortable. I love to frequently walk, go to the dog park and hike with my dog Abbey (or with my friends and their pups.) while also finding ways to play at home like throwing the ball. Hopefully your animal enjoys that too! While not currently offering boarding- In our home we have two dogs and a cat to help keep your pet company (all very friendly with other dogs or cats). They will have constant attention and love available to them. In YOUR home I'm very good at respecting following any detailed directions about your pets and/or your home itself.

About: My love for animals started growing up on a dairy farm in Pennsylvania. I would bring home and animals that I thought needed a loving mom and home. I have owned many animals throughout my life and currently have two German Shepherd Dogs. I used to work more than a full time job a Sheriff's Deputy and employed many dog walkers for my pets. About: I grew up on a large family farm with all kinds of animals. We recently had two senior Shih Tzu's that each had their own special needs. After the loss, we are ready to open our home to new pups! We love all dogs and animals of all kinds. Our property is a large 3 acres. Our large backyard is fenced. We enjoy hiking and long walks. My husband works from home so there's someone always here for potty breaks, snuggles and treats. We do have one friendly, easygoing cat. Your dog must be comfortable around cats. We are happy to give medications or whatever special needs that you might require. My husband works from home and we are generally homebody people. I work about 32 hours a work. I am usually at work at 10 am and home by 5:30 pm. Our cat is self-sufficient and has his own bathroom space with his automatic food feeder and litter box. This limits dogs from being cat box curious.

“Amanda was very gracious towards our very naughty puppy. Apparently, some of the nervous behaviors that we don’t see at home came out with an unholy flourish at Amanda‘s home. But I appreciate the fact that Amanda gave us a full and honest report (which is helpful for us to gauge the areas he still needs significant training) and was very kind about the negatives. The most important thing, though, was that he settled down in the car almost immediately. Our dog is a very nervous dog, so if he has had a rough time at a dog sitter, we know right away because he whines and whimpers all the way home. After leaving Amanda‘s house, he winded for about 60 seconds and then went to sleep. Hallelujah! Thank you, Amanda, for the top quality care you have given to our very low quality puppy. I am especially grateful that Amanda was willing to take the puppy at the last minute, because my husband had a hospital procedure and I had completely forgotten about making arrangements for the dog. What a godsend Amanda has been.”

Deleting on what the dog is accustomed to i use Leashes and slip leads , Ecollars, prong collars whatever the client wants and what works best to get the dogs and clients needs met. Can take the dog out by the house or out to a lake for swimming and ball throwing. I am very aware of my environment to keep the dog safe from others and feel a private area is best for dogs while under my care. I have a even tempered 2 year old playful dogs as well that may join the adventure once I feel comfortable with your dogs and them knowing me.

There is no fence but neither backyards flanking ours have dogs, if that is a concern. My family has no qualms about dogs on furniture so if your baby is a couch potato he/she is more than welcome. I do ask you bring your own leashes, food bowls, and food for your dog for day care. For sitting you can trust me to be prudent, responsible, caring, and dedicated to your pet's wellbeing, as well as respectful of your home's interior and exterior. I can bathe short-hair and medium-hair dogs up to 30 lbs as long as you have a detachable shower wand and your dog is not allergic to the chemicals in dog shampoo. Pricing depends on the size of your dog and extent of services requested. ≤10lbs = $10; >10lbs = $1 per pound (15lbs = $15 and so on).
About: I started taking care of friends' and neighbors' dogs after retiring in 2024. My lifelong love for cats and dogs of all shapes and sizes is now my daily passion! As an active retiree, I don't have any pets currently, and the house is empty and waiting for my next furry friend! I've cared for everything from dachshunds to a Bernese Mountain Dog. Although I don't have a fenced yard, I do have miles of walking trails and parks in the community, as well as an electronic fence for any dogs that need unrestricted access to a yard. We are comfortable giving medication to older dogs, working with young puppies, and customizing our days to fit your pet's regular routines (such as walks, feeding, medication, and brushing). We have access to a private dog park, but we only go there after discussing it with you in advance. About: We are a family full of love for pets! My Husband has volunteered at Sammies Friends walking dogs, and at home we have three indoor-outdoor cats, and a Chihuahua named Bella who’s 10 (my Daughter’s). We had to put down our 14-year-old chocolate lab named Yotis a few years ago, and was my Husband’s best friend! My Son’s 12 year old German Shepard Zani passed a couple years ago as well, and she was the best dog addition to this family. We have always had dogs and cats in the home, and all are friends with each other and they each have unique personalities! We have a dog park nearby as well! The oldest cat I have had was a tabby named Chica, and got her at 8 weeks old when I was 16, and she was 15 when she passed!!! Our pets are our fur family and we love them all!!! Kids are all grown up now, and my Husband is gone a lot as a Fire Captain, so I am more than willing and available to housesit dogs and/or cats in your home. It’s a great opportunity to meet new people and pets. My Husband works 3 days on, 4 days off and likes to help with your pets as well. He is a Dog Whisperer, and I am the Cat Lady! We love taking nature walks, and have both been on Rover since before COVID in 2019. I am available at any time due to my kids being older now, amd we don’t currently have a dog of our own. I love getting out of the house and exploring new neighborhoods and areas especially during Spring and summer. We have resided in Nevada County for decades! We don’t dog board due to having too many household members and pets already, but in your home they are taken care of exactly how they should be. With compassion and love.

About: I have had dogs and cats all my life and have been cat sitting for a friend for the passed 3 years. I can handle giving medication and large dogs. I'm a Preschool Teacher during the day looking to help where I can. 😊 I work Monday through Friday, however I'm off fairly early at 3:30pm everyday so afternoons, evenings, and weekends are free. I have no pets anymore so they will have all the attention! There is a lovely creek that runs through my complex for walks and plenty of toys and energy! And for the older furr babies they are more than welcome on the furniture for cuddles. I also have treats if they are okay for their diet 😊 I have experience with giving medication as well if need be.
