“Clyde was boarded for a week with Kathleen on New Years while we were out of town! She did an amazing job keeping us informed on how he was doing and sent lots of pictures throughout the trip! She was very vigilant in asking us how we have trained Clyde and what we do to curve some of his bad habits; she used the same training techniques that we use so it wouldn’t confuse Clyde. Kathleen also has her own pup (Honey) who played with Clyde the whole week. He came home super tired and beat (which is rare for him). The following days after his visit were also a joy because he still listened and followed most of our commands/routines. Usually when we leave him at my moms, he comes home and acts differently (bad) because she lets him get away with so much. Overall, Kathleen did a great job with Clyde and we will definitely be having him boarded with her and Honey again!”

About: i have had my lovely cat for almost 8 years now. i know there's still more to come because some of the things we've gone through are things i didn't expect to happen so soon or at all. the first unexpected journey was taking in another cat while a family member moved. my cat is an only child so having another cat in the house was not fun for him. it took some time for him to get comfortable around the other, but they eventually became friends. another time my cat had a procedure done and to prevent any infection i learned to give him liquid and pill medication.

I grew up on a ranch with dogs, cats, chickens, goats, and sheep. I have volunteered at my local animal shelter off and on for a few years and was in 4-H for many years. I have experience with extremely large dogs to tea cup chihuahuas, three legged dogs, dogs needing end of life care (medication administration, pet inhalers), puppies who haven’t been house trained and even service animals. About: I’ve taken care of six dogs before coming onto Rover. I have experience walking dogs, feeding them, and taking care of dogs of different sizes. I work full-time as a closer at my current job, so I have free-time to be able to take care of animals anytime before 2pm most days. About: Dogs have been part of my life since childhood and have had the privilege to some part of my family. Besides my own, friends and family have trusted me with feeding and playing with their pets. I’m currently working part time and will have plenty of time to walk. Majority of the time it would include evening walks and sometimes morning ones. About: I grew up with dogs, cats, hamsters, fish, and turtles. they were family pets and i learned a lot watching my siblings raise their dogs. i have a 7 year old cat that i've raised since he was a kitten. I have also fostered another cat for a few months. although introducing my cat with the foster was time consuming, it was worth to see them get along. I work part time as a barista. i don't have set days off but i work very early mornings. i am also taking a couple online courses, but i go at my own pace so im flexible with afternoons and evenings. just like with little humans, i make sure cleaning supplies, little choking hazards, and toxic foods are stored high in storage closets where my cat can't get into. i vacuum regularly in case i have dropped small pieces of plastic (that my cat loves more than toys for some reason). i will occasionally pet sit for my sister when she is away on vacation. i don't assume i know her pets better than she does, so i have texted her before about a concern i had about her dog. i fed both her pets at the same time, but one refused to eat. instead of assuming that her dog would eventually eat, i reached out to know if there was anything i could do differently and the solution was a change in environment. i would then feed them in separate rooms and that did the trick. i loved sending her pictures of them unprompted and when asked.
About: I have been taking care of animals from a very young age, including horses, goats, cats, dogs, rabbits, pigs. My experience with dogs has been the most consistent relationships from childhood into adulthood, I myself have raised my 13 year old lab mix since he was 3 years old! He is happy and healthy but I have so much love to give, I would love to meet your pets! I am currently working part time, traveling to Southern California every 5-6 weeks. My time is open otherwise during the week to walk dogs, check in on them, feed them, whatever you need! I’m happy to meet your pet in their environment where they’re comfortable and safe. About: My love for pets from a young age was so great that I willed my intense asthma and allergies to animals away by growing up with my childhood Jack Russell Terrier, Dash. For the canines, I have trained high anxiety reactive apartment dogs. and successfully established trust and security and worked together on their fears. For the felines, I adapt to their level of desired attention and mental fitness and remain as a constant presence - I don’t assume that they’re independent to be left on their own just because they are cats.
