She showed incredible patience with Shiloh’s anxiety, creating an environment where our nervous girl felt safe and comfortable.What impressed us most was her adaptability and patience not only with Shiloh but also with us. We had several unforeseen incidents during our international trip (i.e., communication difficulties) that would have annoyed even a saint, but she handled everything like a true professional, always maintaining a positive, friendly attitude. Her communication was excellent throughout, keeping us updated and addressing any concerns promptly. We loved that her three kids love to play with dogs! They all helped out with Shiloh, giving her plenty of attention and playtime, which was wonderful for her socialization. “First I must say I do not like boarding my baby Gracie at all. I needed to find some way I could board my Gracie that was not a kennel so I could be confident my baby would be well taken care of so I could enjoy my travel. Found Rover.com and decided to give it a try. Started searching the sitters & I found Irvin & Susan. The reviews were great so decided to do a meet and greet. Everything about the atmosphere was great as was Susan. Booked a short stay to see how it worked out. I really appreciated the daily updates and pictures of how Gracie was doing. “Amanda was very gracious towards our very naughty puppy. Apparently, some of the nervous behaviors that we don’t see at home came out with an unholy flourish at Amanda‘s home. But I appreciate the fact that Amanda gave us a full and honest report (which is helpful for us to gauge the areas he still needs significant training) and was very kind about the negatives. The most important thing, though, was that he settled down in the car almost immediately. Our dog is a very nervous dog, so if he has had a rough time at a dog sitter, we know right away because he whines and whimpers all the way home. After leaving Amanda‘s house, he winded for about 60 seconds and then went to sleep. Hallelujah! Thank you, Amanda, for the top quality care you have given to our very low quality puppy. I am especially grateful that Amanda was willing to take the puppy at the last minute, because my husband had a hospital procedure and I had completely forgotten about making arrangements for the dog. I am comfortable loving on and caring for all kinds of furry and not so furry friends… I'm available early mornings, afternoons and weekends (after 3:00pm) in addition to overnights. About: I have loved animals since I was small, volunteered at animal rescues since I was a child, and have my own menagerie of furry critters. I worked at a horse stable for over 7 years and owned a horse so also am knowledgeable about horses, donkeys, goats, chickens in addition to cat and dogs. I have trained all my dogs for over 15 years so understand how to kindly guide dogs. I have given medicine in all forms and am well versed in pet home first aid. I am currently working full time but have a flexible schedule so can usually accommodate any time of day with some notice. I walk my own dogs twice a day and live in an area with 5 parks. I take my dogs to the park frequently too so can easily add another dog to the mix. I have a fenced yard and a large pet filled home. My yard has a patio cover and a fan to keep everyone comfortable. For well behaved dogs who are cat savvy and non destructive, I can offer them to come inside and hang out on the couches. For other people’s homes, I love getting to know pets and will gladly try to make them as comfortable as possible. I’m happy to play with their favorite toys and give plenty of pets.

We have a fenced-in backyard with plenty of room to romp or do zoomies. Upon guests' approval, we may take dogs on a walk to our neighborhood park. Specific needs, such as medicine must be provided and specified in detail. All our animals are current on their shots and we require our guest animals to be as well. We adhere to Covid guidelines and have both received our Covid flu shots. We respectfully request upon meeting for our guests to wear a mask upon arrival. We do not have accommodations for females in heat or aggressive animals. For dog walking and drop-in visits, we are available any day of the week. However, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, we will not be available from 1pm-5pm. The time on Tuesday may vary depending on Alex's school schedule. We plan to meet and exceed all the needs of the pet, which includes necessities, plenty of playtime, and walks. For housesitting, we can also water plants and bring in mail, if need be.
